We had a family dinner at Laka Leke last week and all had mixed feelings overall thus the 3 star reviews.
First the setting is very nice and the staff really welcoming. The show “frog dance” was ok and the dancers lovely.
We all had different opinions when it comes to the food as some people simply hated their dish, others found most of the ingredients to be tasteless and only a handful were happy with their dish.
Overall looks like a touristy restaurant, it was my first time in Ubud and I am sure there are better placed to eat

The chicken soup with bread was delicious, quiet & peacful environment wit less lighting ,adding a romantic touch to the surrounding.Polite waitress, very friendly people, cosy seats to get into as a couple. An awesme restaurant , jus beside the monkey forest.

Very disappointed with the crispy duck. First off it’s overpriced, and when they brought it out it was literally just a small pile of bones. There was maybe 2 or 3 bites of meat at the most. We complained and they brought us another piece of meat which was nice of them. If they hadn’t brought more meat i would have rated them 1 star. but to be honest it didn’t even taste good. The whole dish just tasted like dry chewy fried chicken.
I do have to say the ambience of the place is beautiful, the dance performance was very nice and the staff are lovely. I think their other menu items are probably good, but if you come here do not order the crispy duck. You will have a plate of bones and little else.

So today i'm gonna review this awesome Crispy Duck😍. I really2 love it..
And i do recomend you to try this one.
.
.
1st picture is the Crispy Duck set (115k)🦆
The price yes quite expensive but it's worthed it to try. When you order the set you will all of in my photo. Laka-Leke is the first restaurant who develop the crispy duck (before all competitor in the present).
I have tried and compare to the other restaurant who also famous.. but if i'm going back, i will go back to Laka Leke only.
So the skin of duck is really crispy, and i dont find any of duck's fat. The meat is easy to be eat.. And the "urap-urap" is completely awesome. And one more important is the "sambal" especially "sambal bawang is TERIFFICCC!🌶🌶
.
2nd picture is Es Kelapa Batok (25k)🍹
I'm not gonna much talk abt this, but this complete enough the taste after spicy things.
.
Actually i also ordered - Avocado Lime Salad (45k)
Too bad 😂 i forgot to take the picture as i was so hungry that time..
.
.
This restaurant also has a very comfy environment and also instagramable..
.
Overall from 1 to 10 i give 9 for this restaurant

My favorite resto. I always have lunch in this resto. The duck dishes is the best and the surrounding is peaceful. Near monkey forest

Great restaurant with Balinese Cuisines. For my self, my favorites are crispy duck, home made cake and the ice cream....so yummy. The place also great, close to the famous Monkey Forest Temple, just few minutes walk from center of Ubud.

Really nice place and good food at very good price for the quality and setting. Bit haphazard on the bill as had some other people's stuff on ours....

Great food for a special night. They do wonderful meals that for some maybe more typical tourist (club sandwich), but they still offer adventurous/ local food for those who still want to taste local cuisine. The dancing and plays they put on are worth seeing!

Really lovely place with delicious food and attentive staff. The place is huge! I'm the rear there is a giant open air garden for dinner in a very picturesque settings. It has its own performance space for Balinese dance which they put on different shows several nights a week. You can also do cooking classes during at two times during the day.
We went on a Wednesday to see Barong and Kristie performance which was very entertaining. We paid 200k to each which included the giant buffet dinner in the picture's above and the dance. We also got a welcome drink, soup starter and dessert and coffee. Couldn't fault the experience in any way! Really recommended place to visit.

The location on the map is wrong. It's right next to the south entrance of the monkey forest. Restaurant is amazing. Reasonable price and great food. Performance is pretty interesting too

I took my wife and 2 kids here for my wife's birthday and it was lovely. The food was great and the dance performance was very enjoyable. The price was great for all you get. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a classy dinner with a cultural experience.

Price is reasonable; I had the value for money Set Menu.
Balinese coffee is a must try; one of the best local coffee offered.
Environment is clean and relaxing.
Tourist-centric restaurant; expect tourist group to dine here.
Service is good.
Worth a try 😊

Beautiful restaurant with pretty garden and rice field view. Food is tasty and reasonably priced. There's a traditional dance here almost every night. Saw the Joget dance, which was pretty cute with the little kids. Had a wonderful time and highly recommend the restaurant.

Beautiful restaurant, soothing ambience in the midst of traditional Balinese rice fields, zen fish pools and lotus ponds. True to its name its hidden away, they have traditional live performances and such on alternate days. Option of dining in traditional Balinese style low set tables, food was good, you can definitely find better tasting fare for similar prices around the restaurant itself. Service was quick but not very hospitable. Would definitely recommend for ambience. P.S. place is open so there are plenty of mosquitoes and lizards, be advised to carry sprays.

Scenery was great, feels very secluded and tropical. Ordered the duck for 2 people, had 3 people and it worked just fine. I'm just not a personal fan of duck but the sate was delicious and it was cool how it was a full meal set- soup food and then dessert.
Jon Nieve Andry (30/07/2016 00:49)
Good idea wiht the show but way to loud. Fied Duck was horrible, and took to long. We orderd some more Drinks but they didn't came.
Wayan Sudarta (01/07/2016 13:49)
The best duckfood behind monkeyforest sanctuary, with the balinese arcitecture
Minky Pirogi (23/06/2016 13:20)
I went to this restaurant twice during my stay. Inside there is a huge space with lots of garden and separate seating areas. The food was tasty. I recommend the Nashi Champur. The staff are friendly and the price is decent.
Daniel Burke (19/06/2016 02:20)
Food was really nice, the experience of the dancers was good, my friends and I had a good night here.

Raymond W. Manurung (29/03/2016 12:58)
Cozy place, fresh food, fresh air, quick-respond staff, place to lazy over after a half-day ricefields-scenery tour and cultural-goods shopping around Ubud.
marcello stanley (06/01/2016 14:42)
Good Balinese taste. Great crispy fried duck with good sambal marah. Great ambiance especially on their performance night, when you can have your dinner while watching the sampler-platter style of Balinese dances.
