This place was such a life saver! It is so kid friendly, with a kids' menu and a fantastic play area that the kids didn't want to leave (see pics). The food is delicious, with great variety and great vegan options. And I loved the shop. It was perfect for our family.

I love the place, the food, the service, atmosphere. I love to be here. The food is unlike what you have in common cafes. It taste great. The price is average. Not cheap but also not expensive.

generous portions of delicious dishes.
Ps.: they do not give you straws unless you ask for it. I appreciate this, nature says thank you.

I like to have lunch and dinner at this place. There are a lot of tourists but the food / price quality is good. They have European and Indonesian food. They organiseren BBQ on Thursdays and there is live Jazz on Fridays. Staff is friendly and they speak English. A must try when you are in Jogja. Oh and they also have a shop were you can buy some nice presents and a bakery (bread and cake). You'll love it!

Foods are so so. They have souvenirs displayed that you can buy. They are pretty cool and traditional and artsy stuffs. Place is somehow noisy. Not cool for book reading. Good place to meet up with friends and talk.

Really hip place to hangout and meet friends. They have variety food on the menu and tastes good. They have a second floor where it is nice to lounge and stay for while. Sometimes they also have nice live music downstairs.
But the best part is that they have a gift shop next door where artisan merchandise and handcrafted indonesian products could be bought. They're pretty original and in decent quality. Great souvenirs for those who don't want generic gifts.
They also provide tour packages and workshops for travellers and tourist if they can't decide where and what to go around the town.
Really recommended place for young and creative people.

Great vegetarian options. Pesto vegetarian pasta and Veggie burger are great. Service is good . Kids friendly. Perfect if you are a group and cannot decide between western and Indonesian food. They have both.

This is a nice place to just relax, eat and meet. The food here is excellent, and the staff are very friendly, and helpful. They have an upstairs seating area, where we sat.
As foreigner in Indonesia, I felt very much at home here. I had the beef burger, which arrived with at least 4 different sauces, a fresh salad, and french fries. I can't wait to go back and try something different!
I also found it interesting, as a foreign couple that came here, while we were dining, took a course on how to cook Indonesian cuisine, which I've never seen before in any restaurant! Just amazing!!

Delicious food with local and international menu choices. We liked the concept as a place for local artists to perform and the attached fair trade store has some good items. Great food and friendly service

This place is truly for the travelers. The food is good. The place is cozy. They now open the roof for eating place and cooking class. The price is reasonable. Downstairs you may find a small souvenir shop.

Via via was amazing! Whether you wanted food or to just pop in for one of their amazingly tasty and healthy smoothie!
The staff were always really nice, and the food super good with a wide selection!
Breakfast is a must here also!!

ViaVia Prawirotaman is a busy place, very strategic, one of the earliest tenants that grows with the area. In the non smoking area they didn't forget to supply kiddie section with non plastic materials. The shop is nice. I like that they make bread, makes it simple for me to choose because there are so many seemingly good options in the menu.

Very nice restaurant for foreigners linked to a small shop (selling dresses, jewels, bracelets, etc..) and with a nice terrace. If you want to feel like being in Indonesia it's probably not the right place to go to, but if you want to relax in a familiar atmosphere than it's your place.
Food was good, not spectacular but quite good. Portions were a little too small in my opinion, service was somewhat lacking and extremely slow. I don't recommend to go here if you are starving! Overall I'm not sure if I'd go back again.

Was here for brunch. It was quiet. I ordered a sort of egg sandwich, while my friend order chicken curry with pita bread. I love the bread, especially the one with sour dough. The portion was big for a person.

You shouldn't miss it if you're in Jogja. They have plenty of information on sights and really great and special tours. You can plan here your whole stay in Indonesia. The food is always delicious, there is also a bakery and a fair-trade shop attached.

Great coffee, designed for tourists and expats, but with the corresponding level of quality (and prices). The agency at the same place proposes an excellent trip by bike at minutes from the place. The best thing I did there.

Nice ambience. Great milk shake. Reasonable price. But terrible Thai Green Curry. It was so spicy that we spicy food eaters could not handle it. Realised that instead of using coconut milk as base the dish had been prepared with green chilly paste as base. Very disappointed since we went with great expectations.

Famous restaurant in prawirotaman Street. And the food is always good and fresh. With some art show around the wall!

If you want to eat on Prawirotaman, you want to eat here. Always ask about the special of the day and let the friendly staff educate you - their renditions of local food are both authentic and tasty. Have been visiting for almost 10 years and never had a bad experience! Just call ahead on peak times for best experience.
Erson Padapiran (19/02/2017 04:45)
The place is nice, they have jazz every friday night, the food is OK, the western food is very good and for indonesian food is not to bad and they have specials today for this.
Florence Bouvet-Bouchard (13/02/2017 12:44)
Can't get much better than this. The food here is the best we had in Yogya. Seriously good food, nice presentation, cheap price. Thursday all you can eat BBQ. Try the veggie burrito, it's so good!
Fred Chittenden Jr. (01/02/2017 02:51)
Great food at reasonable prices. Great sustainable concept that gives back to the community. They also provide tours and other travel packages. There's a cool store connected with locally made crafts, art, and other products. Only issue I had was it was too early at 10am to order lunch. That was no problem that is their policy though as the breakfast was amazing!
Yoshua T.H. (24/01/2017 09:26)
the food was cheap and the meal is a lot! the taste was fine. while waiting for the food, you could enjoy reading books or even like me, drawing on a book they provide to the customers.
the restaurant itself is pretty comfy, i would enjoy visiting here at any other time. the waiters are also very kind
Christoph Behrens (21/12/2016 15:32)
Popular alternative place with resto, live music, art exhibitions and more. Red or green eggs (with a spicy sauce) are delicious for breakfast. Home made bread. Reasonable prices. Popular among tourists.
Simon Renard (12/09/2016 03:43)
A nice place to eat, plan your trips, get cooking class. Staff is nice. We had a really good time there and the tour that they organize don't seem as "touristic" as the others from the street. We did the walk along the river, visit of the temples, cooking class and the 4 days tour to bromo/ijen and everything was great.
Everdineone Kambey (09/09/2016 16:32)

AVOID !! TOURIST TRAP!! Very poor service. Food choice is very small, they came to tell us they didn't have what we ordered after 20 mins we ordered. Tasted terrible. I politely asked the waiter clarification about what I was eating, he didn't understand and sent up some French dude that screamed at me in the middle of the restaurant. So embarrassing and abusive. Really not the way to treat your customers!!

Great place to discover Jogja and its surroundings. A lot of tour options with original themes. The culinary tour of Jogjakarta was well worth it, with two great guides for a nice (and nourishing!) ballad across the city. Options for Bromo and Ijen are quite expensive for modest travelers, but must be worth their price for a different experience than offered anywhere else.
Andreas Wernicke (23/08/2016 00:06)
A great experience. It's basically a place where you can meet people and be able to explore the city.
I booked the Cuisine Tour. Our guides (Angel and Andi) spoke perfect English, and showed us through different interesting places in Jogja.
Awesome 5 hrs!

Serves delicious food and also the staffs are very friendly. Very recommended for all the people to give it a try
Dhani Dezig (06/06/2016 07:47)
nice place, good food..
but it took more than 30 minutes to serve nasi goreng!
Andreas Herbst (26/05/2016 09:58)
Nice place. The tours they offer seem very expensive.
You can meet a lot of tourists to catch up/ make plans.
Drinks and food are good!
Daniela Tello Rioja (01/05/2016 04:52)
Great concept! I loved it! Nonetheless, very poor service... after 30 minutes and 2 reminders I left without being able to drink a Coke. Ofcourse... afyer this my appetite for food disapear

Went there on a very hot afternoon. A bowl of ViaVia Salad gave me a refreshing taste especially the special ViaVia apple dressing.
It offers more open air dining area upstairs.
It also has a smaĺl bakery and unique store of modern art stuff.
