its a very old steak house well known among surabaya resident. its very good in a tradition sense its an surabaya's style of cooking. it might not be authentic western steak in that sense. but its very tasty n affordable nonetheless. give it a try and judge for your self.

Tempatnya cozy, luas, harganya masih masuk kantong, pelayanannya oke juga... setiap pembelian steak dapet roti plus butternya, jadi nampol banget...
Rasa steaknya sih masih oke lah, sesuai harga... minumnya juga cukup variatif

Steak With True Local Taste
If you happen to be in Surabaya and tempted to try Steak with Local Taste then Boncafe is the right place!
Their taste of Chicken Steak was great for Locals, including me, but not for the True Steak Lovers or Foreigners because their taste is too flavorful and too spicy too.
I was once seeing two tourists with frown when having dinner because I am sure their expectation was beyond imagination knowing the taste of this Steak was totally unique to their mouth LOL
Recently, we found Boncafe has changed to better looking restaurant with ambiance fits well for middle segment to dine in.

One of the historical restaurant in Surabaya. This place have good steak options with acceptable price.
They offer steak with Indonesian taste. There is kid's menu here. Other foods like boncafe kids bento, fried rice, and recommended appetizer also available.
Nice ambience for romantic dinner, birthday party or gathering. There is comfort kids playground.
