Pelita Traditional Market, Sukabumi, west Java
This market has long existed, since Indonesia's independence. Its initial position not to choke the railway stations as we see now. But the times are unstoppable and, coupled with the city government of Sukabumi unreadiness make long-term spatial planning's fatal.
Population growth due to relentless urbanization of the southern region of Sukabumi, resulting in a kind of a significant demographic explosion. All residents came fate in Sukabumi are actually not prepare by local government as best as possible to deal with the population explosion. No doubt Pelita traditional market's became the subject of new comer for economic survival.
The government has been trying to develop it into three floors, but it was not yet sufficient, so they kept spilling along the western station, east station and road Captain Harun Kabir.
Nevertheless, this market may not be relocated, because it has historical value specifically, but the city government of Sukabumi should be rearranged and curb the illegal traders and thugs difficult market regulated so as not to disturb security and order of the stations east and west, also the Captain Harun Kabir road should be immediately curbed from traders flooded the highway.
This place, however, is one of the important icons in Sukabumi besides railway stations and tea plantations in Goalpara and Gunung Manik and tunnels Lampegan in Sukaraja area.
