No other choice for japanese restaurant here in town.. quality and taste has went down dramatically, prices has surged up.. but no choice.. thats the best we have here

Probably can't compare with the real sushi from Japan obviously, but still the best sushi bar and restaurant in town! I love their fresh ingredients and fish served. People are getting better at eating sushi nowadays, so the restaurant might be full especially weekends and night times. Recommended dish? I guess ALL OF THEM! (or is it just me who love sushi so much lol) But still, the best, fresh and healthy restaurant compares to other so far (never leave with bad stomach or bloating belly, compares to other restaurant with the same level). All Sushi Tei has the same quality so far, but they need to improve their hygene restaurant area (look, of all I know Medan's restaurants still have problems with hygene. Nonetheless Sushi Tei. I found small cockroach on their floor twice.. not as if other customers care that much since it is normal here)

Sushi tei is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Medan with several branches inside and outside the malls/plaza.
It serves varieties of food, such as sushi, noodle, rice, salad, vegetarian menu and other food and beverage which have been suited to local taste.
It is usually crowded, especially in weekends, so there's usually a wait here.
Final words: Sushi tei is a very recommend Japanese restaurant with great food and excellent service.

My family decided to have reunion dinner here. We made a reservation for 10 persons and even placed order for food in advanced in anticipation for the CNY eve crowds. We paid downpayment of IDR 1,500,000, as requested.
We showed up slightly before 8pm and got our table on 2nd floor at slightly after 8pm. It was hot and stuffy, noisy like world war going on.
We proceeded to place extra order for drinks and fried rice.
After 20 mins waiting, 1 plate of unagi sushi came (yes, 1 plate!!). Then, followed by another plate of tamago sushi 10 mins later. Long pause since then, until we kept asking. They sent down 1 plate of fried rice and 2 plates of mentaiyaki. In total of 50 mins waiting, that was all we get.
We demanded some explanation from manager, but he/she didnt even dare to come out to talk to us. We cancelled the rest of our orders and asked for refund of our downpayment. It took them another 10 mins to settle our bill.
No single apology ever heard from any of the staffs.
Worst customer service ever experienced in life.

Still the best sushi place in town. Strategic location and it is cozy to chill with family or friends. Maybe this is the only good sushi place which allows their visitors to smoke inside, fully air-conditioned and that is a plus. This place offers a gazillion variations of high quality Japanese dishes as well as western cuisines.

Only in Medan, Sushi tei have dedicated vegetarian menu book with huge selection of food. I visit sushi tei in malaysia, jakarta, pekanbaru, none have the vegetarian menu like here in medan. I visit this restaurant everytime i visit medan. Always crowded on dinner. Cosy place.

It's what you'd expect from a large chain sushi restaurant. The menu is extensive. The food is bad to mediocre. Not especially good, but fine, and a little expensive.

The best place for sushi! Try the Fuji Roll and Salmon Canape, the Ocha is a great tea as well. Great surroundings and comfortable place, and also, great services.

Sushi Tei is definitely a place you can trust to satisfy your Japanese food craving. The food is suitable for Medanese tounge, the price is kinda high but i guarantee you won't pay the bill with regret, great service and totally a japanese restaurant that is worth coming again and again. Sushi Tei serves food that makes your tummy jolly!
