Said to be the best linen suppliers in Bali - I was actually quite shocked at the standard and extremely high prices. Highly overated was the feeling I was left with.
Although I found the staff knowledge, when I enquired as to why the packaged Queen flat sheet I held liked as if it had been, if not used, at least opened (very badly creased and showing light signs of marking), I was told at is how all the standard 200 thread count (priced at a quite steep IRp. 300,000) bedding comes. With slight disbelief at this, I picked through other similar stock, to find intact this was true!
It has to be understood that, in Indonesia, plain cotton bedding is still not the norm for the majority of people. And more thought of as hotel linen. So, Indolinen I believe thinks of itself as a little "exclusive".
In my humble opinion, that may of been the case 5 years ago. When they were actually the only place plain white, or coloured bedding could be found for retail purchase.
The whole reason I went in search of a flat white top sheet, was due to finding earlier that day, and with a pleasant surprise, a very nice bedding set (fitted bottom sheet, pillowcases, bolster cases) at a small, very ordinary bedding shop on Jl. Raya Sesetan. 360 thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton. Priced at only IRp. 190,000!
Admittedly, probably a rare find. And with the lady owner of the shop very knowledgeable, and willing to order me a second set also. Unfortunately, her shop has no distinctive name - Toko Spei (Bedlinen Shop). But, after this, I will search out on Google maps, and leave a review.
So, as to Indolinen Sanur? Conclusion - An easy shop. If you are willing to pay the extremely pricey tags.
