I ended up choosing NAD after I made a spreadsheet of my top 4 finds in the internet. My criterias were: clean rooms and toilet, green, relaxed vibe, food and guide ratio. Of course, one just have to rely on the resort's website/FB page and the quality of the reviews they got.
If you are in the same situation as me when I was deciding on a resort, save some time, you can't go wrong with this choice.
Why?
Dive guides are not just very good, but they are fun as well. Have you ever had your dive briefing sang with guitar accompaniment? Sometimes they can't help it to be perfectionists and urge you to take another photo of your subject. You can also tell them not to judge you. The ratio of 2 divers to 1 is true.
Camera room. Such luxury. And a tank ready to dry off your kit and dedicated towels for your camera baby.
Food. Healthy mix of meat and vegetables. I liked everything they cooked. And they never repeated any dish while I was there.
Cocktails. Well, I always lower my expectations. But their bartenders executed the mojitos, piñacolada and espresso martini really well.
The rooms. Very clean. The beach room was a short walk to the main dining area.
Coffee. Most resorts just give you instant coffee. They have a machine with freshly ground coffee beans.
Social life. Well, the way Sonja forces everyone to sit and eat together is how resorts should operate. If you are feeling antisocial, you can request to sit far away from the rest of the divers but then...you might risk getting judged.
Greenery. Living in a concrete jungle makes me crave for green stuff. It is refreshing. But don't forget your mosquito repellent.
Boats. I think I've seen all the boats from the neighbouring resorts. And I said I chose wisely. Plenty of space for everyone. Hot towels after a night dive.
And the diving. 3 day time dives and options to do Blackwater or Nightdives. Dive times max 75 mins.
Organization. Very organized. As expected from a German manager :) but still relaxed. Check in and check out were thorough but quick.
Bonus. I ordered my strobes from a shop in Bali and had it delivered to Lembeh. Sonja helped with following up and picking it up in Manado because there were some delays.
I felt quite at home there that I decided to forget East Timor in September and return to Lembeh instead.

Lovely resort, great dive guide we had, perfect dives, delicious food, friendly owner and staffs. Best place to experience Lembeh.

I've been to NAD a couple of times and will be there again in February, October, and February 2018 (and I expect many more times in the future as long as I'm diving). NAD is great value, great service, wonderful people, and outstanding muck diving. I feel like I'm staying with family when I'm there. It has become my go to land based dive resort and not just because of the world famous muck diving in Lembeh Strait.

I have just returned home from my fourth visit to NAD with a group of underwater photographers over the past 4 years. In this time frame, the resort has continued to provide innumerable improvements in both facilities and service. This time around there was a brand new pool, new paving stones which remain cool on the feet, brand new furniture all over the resort, and they have just completed a brand new organic garden providing fresh veggies. Of course the diving was spectacular with every critter on our wish list provided. One of the best things about NAD is that they provide 1 dive guide to every 2 divers, this is very important when it comes to underwater photographers, which means the service at NAD is very hard to beat. Even with our group of 20 people, the entire week went by as smooth as silk. I would not hesitate to recommend NAD to groups or individuals who are looking for the best experience in Lembeh at a very attractive rate. Looking forward to visiting again in 2017!

NAD diving team provides excellent service. They know how to help you take macro pictures! It is important for photographers that they provide maximum 1:2 DM to customers ratio. Our DM Nando is constantly finding macro things and is very knowledgeable about the critters. They have a huge camera room! another very nice point. Very good DM! The rooms are basic. Food is satisfactory.

we spent there a couple of weeks last December/January and I would say that it is one of the best organized diving centers I have ever been. And diving around there is something different that we had experienced before with tons of life and some unbelivable creatures that most probably you wont see anywhere else
Accommodation is good with plenty and variety of food, staff is super friendly and helpful (all the locals, Simon, Serge...thanks to all of you)
All together, probably the reason why they have so many loyalty from customers visiting them over and over again...we are looking forward to be back there soon
Recommended? a MUST. If you have a chance, dont miss it!!!

This eco-friendly dive resort has nice & clean rooms, great camera room, excellent food and service(both the non-diving and diving), big and comfortable dive boat, very experienced dive guide.
Highly recommended resort if you're planning dive at Lembeh.

i went in nad lembeh resort 2 years ago for my diving holiday and it was a wonderfull experience, very nice people, my dive guide Jony found for me a lot of spectacular creatures, i took more than 1200 photos in 10 days. i hope to go there again , thanks of all.

Having diving in lembeh for the last 8years or so, NAD has always been my favorite go to Dive resort.
With great management, 2:1 diver to guide ratio, and very strict marine conservation practices have made my stay with them really enjoyable.
Each time I return, the resort have some improvements, better rooms, better boat, better guide ratio, and now better chef!
Can't wait for my next trip there!
