Batam Indonesia is the most corrupt country we've ever been. Even female immigration officers will ask you for coffee money. Me and my family went there for a short vacation but little that we know that they are corrupt to the core. When we were at the immigration they held my family including my 16 year old brother in law and my wife's 11 year old niece. I was carrying our daughter for more than 20 mins waiting for them to come out from the office. My wife went to the office to ask what was the problem. The Senior Officer just straight away asked for 200sgd and couldnt even explain what is it for. Is there an entrance fee that we need to pay? Seriously? This is more corrupt than my country. Well anyway to cut the horrible story short. We bargain for the price and they let my family go for 100sgd. The only reason they gave us is because Singapore will give us another 30 more days of visit pass extension. So we have to pay the price? Nonsense. I would understand if we are looking for a job and wanted to comeback to SG but were not. And holding an 11 year old and a 16 year old? 😤Good job Batam! I will never go back there again! Never. So tourist please beware! Batam has an entrance fee! What a shame. #BatamCorrupt

Singapore to Indonasia very near ferry terminal Sekupang ferry terminal, Custom clearance is very slow need to wait long Q not like singapore

Sekupang Ferry Terminal - When clearing customs, remember not to eat, drink and talk as written on sign boards. The customs officers are not that friendly and if you are caught violating the above rules, you will be sign to re queue.Â
There is a toilet just beside the queue poles.Â
Upon clearing custom, there is a money exchange just before the exit gates. Travelers can do a last minute change of money.

Place seems updated and well furbished and maintained enough. Small place and very straightforward. Moving through border control, customs and boarding proceeded apace, though when we traveled it was clearly not very busy.
The lady at the counter was kind enough to reprint our boarding passes we left at the resort free of charge.
Limited dining options. Limited duty free options available as well.
