Animal cruelty is never okay. I don’t find Exploitation of animals to be an enjoyable occasion. Just shut it down! Send the animals to sanctuaries. Be compassionate. Be a decent human being and do NOT support places like this. Don’t buy a ticket to see if things have improved it’s been over a year footage was leaked of the cruelty and if you look at recent photos and reviews still NOTHING has changed at least not enough. Animals deserve better. I’d be so ashamed to be a part of a zoo like this. If I wanted to come back from this I’d send the animals to sanctuaries. Create a go fund me page to give money to sanctuaries and make it my life mission to attempt to make up for all the cruelty that’s been done there. Also notice all the 5 star reviews are Indonesian.... I think it’s suspicious because I feel this business would pay or create accounts to give good reviews. I don’t see how anyone with common sense and kindness would give 5 or even 2 stars....I’d give none if I could. Indonesian people are beautiful, I don’t think the good people of Indonesia would recccomend this zoo.

Slightly better than my last visit. They renovated the ticket booth, some cages and the bears are no longer skinny.

However it is still far from good. Facilities are still remain old and not well managed, even there is no proper and clean public toilet. This place surely need a massive effort to renovate and revitalise to its glory.

The ticket price has gone up for double price, making it not so affordable to the low class but with this kind of facility, I doubt upper class would come as well.

The good side is the place is now cleaner as I saw they have so many cleaning staffs are working

Should you want to feed the deers or elephant, get your carrot from the hawker at the parking lot.

Bring your mosquito repellent cream or wear long sleeve and long pants is strongly recommended.

if you visit this zoo, you are promoting the mass genocide of beautiful and endangered species. it is straight up animal cruelty and they need to be shipped to a reserve with immediate medical care. i understand that zoos in indonesia lack in such facilities due to lack of government funding and overall corruption, and therefore these animals need to be shipped immediately i repeat to countries that can actually care for them and afford to do so, for instance the UK

If you want to see a beautiful wild animal, you come to the wrong place. There are only animals that are less well maintained and look unhealthy. No recommended for now, but I hope as a citizen bandung, the manager can take some improvement to make this zoo be a better place.

this zoo is a terrible place! animals are starving and practically begging for food from the people and they think it’s all in the fun of games? no that’s terrible zoos are for people entertainment to see healthy and happy animals!! if i could give this zoo zero stars i would.

Not a good place to visit... especially with children. How depressing and sad to see all this sad malnourished animals. Honestly, in my opinion, anyone who enjoys a visit here, has no regard for life. NOT RECOMMENDED! Go hiking instead and see nature free in it's glory instead of this dump.

It's a good place to spend your time with your family nor to teach your child about animal. But the animal conditions isn't too good. Some of the animals look starving and some of the cage is very dirty. The turtle's look's pity. Their bodies is mossy. And the tiger is very thin. I hove they treat the animals better

This is horrid place and does not deserve to be called a "zoo." Animals are in awful conditions, starving and so unhealthy, and are expected to live their lives like this. All people who care and support creatures on our planet need to call for the immediate release and relocation of these creatures to safe preserves where they may live out their lives in an environment conducive to their well-being. This Indonesian zoo in Bandung is a total disgrace and the people who run it and their government ought to be punished accordingly. Can you IMAGINE emaciated bears begging for food from people who go to this zoo? STOP going to this zoo. The circumstances are torturous for the zoo's inhabitants. The filth and squalor the animals are forced to survive in also forces them to wait for death to give them any relief. Beyond disgusting, this is abhorrent, reprehensible, inexcusable, indefensible and totally unjustifiable to treat these living creatures in such a cruel manner. This zoo must be closed.

Good place. The one&only zoo in Bandung. Cheap enough. Only crowded on weekend/holiday. And very quite on weekdays.

they must do a lot of improvement for maintaining the animals and the cleanliness of this place. they also need to create more enjoyable event for family so it can attract more visitors to come to Bandung Zoo.

The animals seemed not in good condition. There's not enough signing. Canteen, toilets, and the musholla are looked very old. Need renovation.
However the park made my child love to play here. It's good venue for walking and get fresh air.

This zoo takes the meaning of horrific to a whole new level. The animals are literally starving, they're all skin and bones. It was sickening and my family immediately left as my daughter was balling due to the suffering of these animals. Needs to be shut down immediately. I'm 1000% convinced every positive review on here was made by an employee bc no one in their right mind would consider this zoo a pleasure to visit.

Learn about wild animals in Bandung Zoo. but the place was too humid so you have to be careful with the slippery road. I hope to be better in the future

Sun Bears kept in the Bandung Zoo are so hungry they eat their own feces. One of the zoo’s giraffes suddenly died and was found to have 40 pounds of plastic trash in its stomach. The Bandung Zoo has been coined Indonesia’s “death zoo” and must be shut down immediately.
Perhaps the most upsetting was the recent loss of Yani, a 34-year-old Sumatran elephant, who was visibly weeping when she died shackled on the ground. She had been sick and neglected for too long. Yani’s species is critically endangered and she was one of about 2,800 of these majestic animals left.
Tourists often report that the confined animals look emaciated and weak. The zoo is overcrowded and doesn't have a veterinarian on hand, so when animals fall ill they are left to suffer like Yani. These are not the only horrific events to have occurred within the zoo, and won’t be the last.

BobbyGoo 123 (08/08/2016 20:45)
Every zoo worker needs to pull their stuff together! Yani, the Sun Bears. You people make me depressed.

It was actually quite good for a weekend getaway, but you'll cringe or even mourn, looking at the condition of the animals here. Highly NOT recommended for sensitive people. For heartless humans, in you go. Entrance ticket is cheap, too.

Decent zoo, decent collection. The animals aren't suffering, but they're not having a ball either. One of my favorite places to photograph.
