October 2017:
Watch the dragon in the dungeon.
Mornings can be tricky here: warm welcome, easy selection of massage choice, filling out form, ok. I asked for 10 minutes to get ready. Got back in 5. Relaxed with welcome drink, found harmony in joyful — a dragon came along and ushered me to my cell, gave instructions, left. A great hot stone massage followed. Stone rumbling, eventually the sound of running water, and incomprehensible instructions pulled me out of the attained deep balance, brought me through a shower, and left me standing in a stone garden. Someone came along, greeted briefly, and left… Found my way back to the entrance, saw a teacup, a smile from the reception, sat down, drunk a bit tea, searched for my wallet, asked if I can settle with credit card. Sure! Dragon came back, gave instructions, wanted to involve me in a silly conversation, PIN required, approved. And I was given the slip, with a bow. The number was different than agreed. Why? Because of tax, the dragon shot back. Credit card fees? Yes. I left relaxed and pissed off at the same time. My first. And wondered: 2.5%? Without saying so before I approve a blank screen, full of trust? And my poor therapist was left without a tip. So sorry about that, she did really well.

A nice and cheap spa in Ubud.
There are some twin bed room, so some couples can take massarge at the same time if you can.

Overpriced. Basic service with not too many differences from the crowd of other spas nearby.
