Great place to stay if you are travelling alone, everyone is very friendly including the other guests. Can be hard to get a room at times as a lot of guests revisit Bali and do not want to stay anywhere else. I needed to change rooms but it was well worth it to stay at Villa Layang Bulan during my time in Bali. Thank you Edwin (the Manager) for making me feel at home, I will see you later this year when I return to Bali and stay at Villa Layang Bulan.

My partner and I stayed for a week in 2015.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, food excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, location excellent, and very affordable. I plan to return very soon. Early in 2018.

Having Just returned fro a visit to the villa I have to agree with all of the positive comments that have been made regarding the breakfast, cleanliness and location ect.
Edwin and his staff ensure that your stay is comfortable and problem free attending to any problem that may arise.
Also the staff interact with the guests in typical friendly Balinese style and know all the guest by name.
The guest all intermingle and you get to make new friends from around the globe and you leave having made new friends, not something that will
happen at most other places.
Another big plus for me is the location, for me it is ideally situated for my requirements and a taxi will not break your budget if you need to venture father afield.

This review is based on price versus quality. No doubt about it, this place is quite affordable. I stayed here for ten days: First 7 nights was a single private room with a shared bath, the last 2 nights I moved to a dorm room.
A very pleasant stay in August, I must say! No rain. The sights were interesting and colorful. Cozy atmosphere, super friendly people, the villa was clean and well maintained. Even the communal showers.
Love the breakfast here. Impressive choices of fresh fruits, bacon, omelet, cheesy chicken sausages, pancakes, Phad Thai with seafood, fried vermicelli, chicken curry with prata bread. etc.
As for dinner, I liked the satay skewers. Flavorful, tender and juicy. This place is good eats and great value.
You shall also try the massage here. The residential masseurs are amazingly well trained.

I was recommended by an Australian friend working in Singapore. He is
a frequent visitor here. A great base in Bali for relaxation, eat-out,
therapeutic massages and making new friends from all over the
world.True to what he told me. It is a lovely villa with friendly
staff and guests. Everybody talks to each other. We even go for
sightseeing together and share the cost of the driver and vehicle
provided by the villa.
Villa is well managed, clean and near to main road and beach.

A fabulous place to stay. Will come back again for longer stay and relaxation. Staff and guests are extremely helpful and friendly. Ketut is a very good tour guide. Rai is fantastic with head and foot massages. Pau is a fantastic cook.

I have stayed at villa Layang Bulan - well, to be honest, i've lost count, but probably at least 12 times. It's friendly, fun, familiar and a true home away from home.
The staff are well humoured and helpful and Edwin, the owner cannot do enough for you.
I don't stay anywhere else in Bali....and that will not change in the future. I've made soooo many new friends staying here and I keep in touch with most of them and even travel to other parts of the world to see them.
I recommend staying here if you're j single traveller or a couple.
Thanks to Edwin and his staff for so many wonderful times. See you next time!

I am Aldi From Jakarta Indonesia.
I have stayed in all the gay hotels in Bali. Villa Layang Bulan is my
favorite. This is because of its family like atmosphere. Private room
guests, dormitory room guests, staff, young persons and older persons,
and regardless of nationality, race, age and religion, get along very
well.
Room rates are reasonable. Not expensive for the budget conscious.
American and Asian breakfast choices are varied and good here. I had
also tried the villa's signature dishes, Beef Rendang, Chicken
Rendang, Padang Grilled Chicken, Thai Grilled Chicken and Pork
Piccata. They are absolutely delicious.
The villa is well managed and maintained. Many guests are from
Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Netherlands,
Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore come here annually. They super very
friendly. So are owners and staff.

I have stayed 3 times at this villa.. l love this place...the guests are friendly.. Edwin the owner always di the best to serve all the guest...l will never move to another gay villa.. l highly recommend this villa for all gays who want to spend their holiday in Bali. Its location is close to ATM, supermarket, beach, restaurants. For breakfast Edwin cooks well..l love his nasi goreng... ln April 2017 (14-19) l have a plan holidday in bali again... okay gays....see you there....

I Stayed here in June 2016, we enjoyed it so much- we are now booked for April 2017. Everything is just so relaxed and the morning breakfast are awesome - every gathers around to chat. location is quiet and yet not far from what ever we wanted to do. looking forward to our next stay in April- We are a 34-35 couple and I dont consider us "old" we love it!

I am a frequent visitors to Villa Layang Bulan.It's a nice guest house near the beach,and busy main street.The Villa is peaceful,clean and safe.Staff and guest are very friendly.Meals and pool are also Good.

I went to Villa Layang Bulan for the third time and I do not get tired. The staff is very friendly, and the owner Edwin did everything to make guests feel comfortable. In addition Edwin prepares a hearty breakfast. The rooms of different surface types can offer a range of prices to be increased from every pocket. The villa is only five minutes walk from the beach, close to restaurants, ATM, as exchange services and many spas for men. I have already booked for the month of March 2017 (for the fourth time).
