Coffee and Tea is very good but be aware that if you buy something the gramm on the tea or coffee is way less than on the box. The tea is marked with 250g but in fact it is only 200 including package. In Europe we would call this fraud. 2 stars because of location and experience..

A quiet place off the road, with their own spice garden. Reasonable prices on their products too.

Tegal sari luwak coffee is nice place to visit and if you are on the way to north bali and you were on this road i recommended you to stop by if you want to have coffee break, here there's local guide will escorts you to the plantation and explain you briefly about the plants and stuff that they have here when i was here i saw coffee tree (robusta and arabica) they have other nice plants too like ginger, lemon grass, cavier lime, aloe vera and dont be surprised because they have local name as well for example aloe vera,in bali they called it with crocodiles tongue plant (lidah buaya) and if you got sunburn this plant will have you healed quickly and they have it there, and also they have vanilla orchid as well they are one family with orchid thats why they stick with other tree which doesn't mean they are parasite they just epiphytic plant

A traditional coffee plantation which is also a tourist pit-stop. You will be guided through a garden where you'll see coffee beans growing, various teas and herbs too. You'll have the opportunity to try many types of tea and coffee for free. Of course they are trying to get some business, but there is no obligation to buy or tip so if you don't feel comfortable smile politely and go back to your vehicle, no problem.

Tour guide is friendly. But technically is a showroom for them, is not a real coffee plantations. Have different kind of plants as well like cocoa, pineapple, snakefruit etc. Wide range of coffee and tea selection. Have a couple of luwaku as well.

Good place to learn about Bali Coffee, including the famous Civet Coffee. Friendly people and there is a Gift Shop inside. Nice place to go.

TRY but DON'T BUY!!!
Products are VERY EXPENSIVE and the PACKAGES CONTAIN LESS THAN promissed (somehow only 75% of the promised quantity). You wanna know more? Go on reading:
The Tegal Sari Luwak Plantation looks like a traditional balinese coffee plantation. If you come here for a visit, the friendly staff will be showing you around, finally coming to a little house to have a free tea-tasting. All the offered teas, coffes and tha cacao are quite good, some taste a little bit to sweet, but over all good stuff. Everything is free despite the Luwak coffee, which is a special coffee with a tender taste. If you like to try, they will charge you 50.000 IDR (equal to 5$ USD or 5 EUR). So far so good.
BUT...
...after tasting they will take you to the shop and THERE YOU SHOULD BE CAREFUL - it is a DAYLIGHT ROBBERY.
However all the teas are quite expensive (120.000 IDR per 250g = 8 USD or 8 EUR) AND the package contains less then 250g (double check my photos).
What you should definitely not do: DON'T BUY THE LUWAK COFFEE!! Two reasons: You will pay double the price which is usually paid: They charge you 300.000 IDR for 100g (equal to 20 USD or 20 EUR) which means that the price for 1kg would be 3.000.000 IDR. On organic coffee plantation in Munduk we learnt that the official price is 1.500.000 IDR for 1kg, however half the price we paid at Tegal Sari plantation.
But what is even more interesting: We also learnt that all original Luwak coffee needs to have a certain certificate number to proof it's no fake. However there is no number on the package. As we can not proof that the Luwak coffee at Tegal Sari plantation is a fake product we can't trust that it is not. So we would recommend not to buy it there just to make sure not to eventually buy a fake product. If you want to know more about the certificate, just double check on the internet. You will find detailed information.
What we can proof is that also the 100g package contained to even 75% of the proposed quantity (as you can also see on my photos).
All in all: 1* for the friendly staff, 1* for the nice tea tasting and 0* for the unfair shop.
