Beautiful place with great scenery of forests. It is a quiet place to get away from the bustling city with a lot of bamboo inspired architecture

A nice place to view bamboo houses. I can't say they're "eco" friendly since they don't exactly recycle, plus some of the houses were actually set up with "bed airconditioning" that just wastes energy.

Nice staffs, nice place!
Very green and relax, unique design!
The tours are pretty pricey. We did the shortest tour just to go see 2 houses in he village and it costs 20$ each for 30-45 mins.
The place opens at 10 am. Tours start at 10:30 am or 12:30 pm.
They also lease these house only on Airbnb for minimum 2 nights stay!

Amazing Experience. We stayed in the River House. The house is entirely made of Bamboo with amazing details, from light switches to the bed Canopy with air conditioning. The bath rooms have a wonderful flintstones feeling with dozens of lovely details.
Our kids had the time of their lives and really though they where living in a luxury tree house.
One thing you should keep in mind, the house is in the jungle and there are no walls, so you should expect some encounters with wildlife. For us it was bugs and Geckos. All completely armless, but the Geckos where completely Jurassic.
Overall, I really recommend this experience.

It's honestly a super gorgeous place with great view and environment. However, almost every place has its pros and cons and this is to no exception. Mother Nature. Is all I could describe about this place. Despite the views, and amazing villa with scented towels and nice smelling soaps, you have sticky bed sheets with mosquito nets that still surprises you when you wake up with a bed filled with tiny bugs and mosquitoes. The river can also be quite a nature stereo at night. You can order food, more drinks-already stocked a couple in the refrigerator, from the residential restaurant in the area. There's also a kitchen there which I know the stove works. But hey, don't get me wrong, this place is reaaaally beautiful-total zero sarcasm.

Amazing buildings made of bamboo, the designs are stunning. They are still building so expect some construction noise during the day. The breakfast menu got a bit monotonous, but the BBQ pork ribs, wow!
It is a little out of UBUD itself but a worthy group with a green mission.
Price to stay here is quite high though.

Interesting factory and construction technique, but tour is somewhat overrated. Although the factory tour is good, there is very little information provided regarding the construction of the homes.

Such a rip off. The buildings were really amazing however the place should not be charging 20USD per person just to look inside 3 of them. The 'tour' is hugely over priced but to only way to see inside.

Beautiful unbelievable space and sanctuary. We took course on bamboo model making class, visited the bamboo factory, took a coconut course where we made our own coconut milk, sugar and oil from scratch. Toured other houses on the complex and stayed 2 nights here. Truly an unbelievable experience and one of the best things we have done.

Went there for lunch and wanted to tour the place but was told that it will cost USD20. Not welcoming at all as I was there for lunch. A big mistake to head over there as I came from Bangli. Such a waste of time.

Wow! What a neat experience! These homes are absolutely stunning! Such beautiful views, contemporary living, and obviously all eco-friendly. Such a treat to take a tour around the village; I wish more would learn from this example.

Amazing, inspirational, conversational! Really loved this place, and what they are doing here. The idea and concept is what we need right now in the world... Recommend doing the School, Factory and Village tour to understand the whole picture. Do it!

Located around bamboo building, Green School, Bamboo Chocolate Factory, Bambu Pure...

Peacefull and Gracefull amazing bamboo village nestled on the Ayung River just southwest of Ubud near the equally impressive Green School Bali. One cannot imagine the beauty and power of Bamboo as a building material until seeing these multistory homes placed in balance with the natural environment and in harmony with the power of the Ayung river below.
