The facilities are nice with big rooms and two pools, but the cleanliness is only average and the staff have been hard to get a hold of to get our room key or air conditioner remote.

The hostel was otherwise as described, but they had bed bugs. My friend was sleeping on the lower bunk and she got bites all over her arms, legs and back, but I, sleeping on the top bunk, didn't get any. My friend also saw one living bed bug at night, so it definitely was bed bugs. When she saw it (at 3 am), we were moved to their other hostel, Temple Hostel, for the rest of the night. Then in the morning we went back to collect our stuff. The staff was helpful and understanding and refunded some of the money. Even though they were nice and the place was otherwise comfortable, I wouldn't recommend staying there unless you are fine with bed bugs. We definitely aren't.

Chill hostel with a nice atmosphere. Great place to make new friends and enjoy Canguu as a solo traveler. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Great stay. We have been here for more than 2 weeks and could have easily stayed longer.
I recommend that place if you are looking for an amazing atmosphere and if you are a person, who connects easily with others.
It is safe, great located and the people who run the place are amazing.

The Hostel is amazing. There are two Pools and roof top access, free water and coffee and tea. The kitchen is nice, a lot of hammocks and the common areas are cozy. It's near the beach and you can reach restaurants and local warungs by foot. The stuff is very nice and the dorms are okay. We have a good time here! There is also a new food court right next door.

Came for one night and stayed the whole week. Good pools and clean rooms with a very social atmosphere. Weekly barbeques and free water are a plus. Also a few local surfers spend their free time here and aee always willing to hang and go out to the local bars and beaches with you.

First time staying at hostel. In the beginning I kinda nervous. However, my experience here was top notch. The people who worked at CHS was super duper friendly(Krisna and long hair dude, sorry😅) and they made me feel welcomed. There's always room for improvement in the rooms but for that price you just can't complain. Essentially, this experience has converts me into becoming a backpacker lol
P.s kinda mad ya didn't tell me that I could buy beers there at night/morning. Had to go for store runs at 3-4am just for some beers

Nice big hostel with two pools, several different rooms. The bunk beds are pretty good but no curtains, and they have drawers that you can put a lock on but they don't provide locks - you have to bring your own. Very social hostel, lots of people there like to party, including the staff. Lots of surfers stay here. They constantly have music playing. Nice chill space downstairs by the pools, and the tv. One staff member has a tattoo gun and will give you a cheap price for tattoos. A cute friendly dog lives there too.
They're not at all professional though, and sometimes kind of overwhelmingly loud and crazy. When I got there I had booked and paid for a bed in a 6-bed dorm on hostelworld, but I was the only one with a reservation for that room so they wanted to put me in the open bed in the 4-bed dorm (which is normally more expensive), and acted like it was a good thing because they weren't charging me extra, but there were 3 guys already in the 4-bed dorm, and I would have been alone in the 6-bed dorm, but they didn't want to give it to me. So I thought that was kind of rude. One of the staff guys is kind of touchy, not in a creepy way but like way too friendly, but I still didn't like it, and he stopped when I asked him to.

For the price and location, cheap and solid, people were extremely friendly and they haf 2 pools and free pizza. Loud partiers up until 6am however but if youre looking to party, this is the place

The reason I give 2 stars is because the facilities, atmosphere and location were good.
