The place is actually nice but when we got there, they have just finished harvesting the paddy rice and are burning the remains... It created smoke and the view cannot be enjoyed. The food selection needs to be varied as it took some time to climb to the cafe. Overall, it was okay.

A soothing cafe FOR SURE, quiet and calm, its in the middle of a rice Farm, the view is really calming, the sound of the wind and the moving paddy and the farmers moving around moving the Paddy, we had lunch there after a long ride with a motorcycle, this place helped us to feel relaxed. Food a bit plain, but still we had a great time hanging out here, toilet is clean, you'll be barefoot in this restaurant. Very unique concept. Place is a bit hard to get, small road and impossible to be accessed with car. So walking motorcycle will be the solution.

The place has very nice view of the rice paddy.. Quiet and calming. On they going to the cafe we are served by long small way between the rice field. The waitress are friendly. It's unique bc we should take off our shoes before entering the cafe. And they will help to keep it inside the traditional basket. The menu has limited option. They serve the Western, Japanese, abd Singaporean foods only. The prices are good. The taste of the foods are just good. But the view are amazing. We really enjoy this place.

Great dining experiencec with a beautiful view. Definitely recommend coming here during the evening to watch the sunset.

The food was alright, nothing gastronomical but it was decent for it's price.

Cars are not allowed inside, so if you wish to visit Cafe Pomegranate be prepared to walk a good 10 minutes or ride a motorcycle in.

Good food, with nice view. Perfect break after walking in rice fields. You can get there only by walking or by Scouter. Usually is full of people during the sunset, because of the view, remember at you should book table for evening.

Sit back relax, and enjoy the day to pass. The cafe is hidden back in Ubud's paddy field --for some, this may be cumbersome, but I've always enjoyed my trip of getting there. I also often spotted some pretty looking feral cats and some nearby friendly puppies. This kind of cafe is what makes Ubud,.. Ubud. Food and drinks were not very special but it's usually not the main reason you go there.

I was here today for the sunset. Beautiful view in the middle of rice fields and palms. I drank a papaya juice, 35k IDN, worthy for the view and the place.

A nice and quiet place with awesome view. A 180 degree of ricefields and palm trees. There is no music playing and it's good. Just enjoy bird singing and water flow. The staff provide repellent to save yourself from moskitos. The only thing is those seats on floor, it's back part is not firm.

Livio Geiger (16/04/2018 13:10)
Nice place, good ambiente at the rice paddy -have a sunset drink, food however really not worth it, staff not really motivated

Hanny Kusumawati (11/04/2018 03:22)
Good view of the sunset during the golden hour, great food (try bukakakuni, chicken rice, and crispy pork). Price is worth the food and the view. Usually full near sunset hours so come early to get the best table by the rice field.

Nice place with rice paddy view. You can fall asleep here :D really cozy. Need more food variation on the menu i guess.

Anton Umnitsyn (05/04/2018 15:14)
Perfect place to view sunset, work and eat tasty food. Good WiFi and nice service.

Jan Bell (15/01/2018 06:18)
Great cafe /restaurant. Looks newly refurbished, very clean and comfortable. Amazing view in the rice fields. Easy 20minute walk along a good pathway from main road, few minutes by scooter. Love this place.

Rosie Melluish (24/11/2017 05:49)
Great location to watch the sunset! Not a huge drinks selection- soft drink, bintang or wine/sangria.
We had sangria and a pizza to share... The pizza was thin and crispy, came with a chilli sauce on the side which was yum.
Service was pretty slow and kept forgetting things but they were full and quite busy. .. I think it fills up every night for sunset and then empties pretty quick after.
Bit of a walk from the main strip but worth it for the views!

Good food great place. Ideal for people who seek a peace and serenity. Like this place but the minus is you just have to go with motorcycle because thias place is far from main street.

Great little cafe in the middle of paddy fields. Great food, great price, great atmosphere and awesome view. Cash only, a bit tricky to find it. Its in a small alleyway that can only accessed by scooter or walking! Its around 5 to 10 minute by foot with a superb scenery along the way.

Jenny Hoekstra (22/10/2017 02:54)
Stumbled upon this cute place right when the sun was setting which was perfect. They sell decent wine at a decent price. Tried a starter which was a good size portion-wise. Really a great place to watch the sunset over the rice paddies.

Simon Donald (27/09/2017 11:02)
The Cafe Pomegranate is a nice little find when in Ubud. Nestled on the edge of a rice terrace, the cafe provides a chilled out ambience and a big selection of very reasonably priced food. It is a great place to chill out if the weather decides to throw some water down, as it did for us!

Jeremiah Teo (20/09/2017 12:55)
A wonderful experience watching a sunset over drinks and food. Good service as well. If I were living in Bali I'd visit this every week.
If you stay till pass 7pm, you may be able to see fireflies around Cafe Pomegranate

Martin Klammer (16/09/2017 06:11)
Food was average at best. The service was friendly but slow. We had the curry (tasted rather boring) and a veggie salad (still had soil on it).

George Cliffe (08/09/2017 07:57)
Beautiful view and really nice place. Pizza was great but salad was basic and lacked a nice dressing. Service is pretty slow.

Luh Windiari (10/08/2017 09:49)
What I love the most from this place is the ambiance. Their food and drinks are great; and the people are friendly. On top of that the view is fantastic.

Geraldine Sutton (16/07/2017 10:28)
An interesting selection of food. My fussy daughter didn't like anything which is why it's lost a star. But the rest of us were happy. It has Indian curry, Singapore curry, pizza & some Japanese thrown into the mix. But that seems the norm here as there are so many travellers from so many parts of the world... except my daughter, everyone can be happy!

Andrew Azis (01/07/2017 09:31)
The little Cafe in the middle of a rice paddy field. You have to walk around 15 minutes from the nearest carpark to get there. You can also get an ojek or motorcycle taxi to get there. But the walk is pleasant, with green fields around and some souvenir shops along the way. The walk is well worth it. The cafe's atmosphere is amazing. There is no music playing so you can really absorb the sounds and sight of the paddy fields. Come in the afternoon (around 4PM) and if you're lucky you can catch ducks feeding in the field. The food is great & reasonably priced. There's free WiFi.

This place only accepts cash, so be prepared.

Place Really nice. But food and Service low average... Sorry but ubud has a lot of more Really Good Restaurants and much better warungs.

Chris Van Damme (07/06/2017 12:31)
First a nice walk through the rice fields. Then you find a very nice and modern construction that blends into the surrounding. We only had a drink who was a of very good quality.

Stu Hays (29/05/2017 23:11)
Beautiful views of the rice paddies, gets a nice cool breeze. Delicious food with some cool Japanese options and wonderful staff. Nice little walk or scoot to find

Casey Wilson (17/05/2017 09:31)
Ambiance is great. Fantastic view for sunset right in the rice fields. The food was nothing special and service was just ok.

Hayden A. (16/05/2017 12:16)
The setting for this cafe is dreamy. Off the main roads and into the rice patties in an open room with full landscape and sunset views. We really enjoyed this venue. Compared with some amazing options in town, the food could be better. Overall it's definitely worth checking out.

Melody Heng (04/05/2017 04:23)
Beautiful view. Love the floor chairs. The high roof helps by keeping the place cool. The mushroom soup was good. Theyre charging about 20% more than the average prices in ubud. The selection of food is rather lame. They're serving Japanese, singaporean, indian, pizzas. What happened to the indonesian cuisine and a good nasi goreng?

Joakim Johansson (29/04/2017 01:36)
Back again in April 2017, after they renovated the place the first weeks I was here. My last visit was 2015. This place is still as amazing. Great food, drinks, staff and a fantastic rice terrace view!

Evaldas Umbrasas (25/04/2017 13:19)
Realy nice place! Tasty food and prices is really good too. Definitely worth to wisit !

Angelo Lupian (08/02/2017 04:36)
I just have there a ice cream!
But for sure with that view, all was worth it.
Just amazing.

Nick Reinhardt (22/11/2016 14:22)
Amazing place. Off the beaten path a bit. Take a scooter since the road in Google is merely a sidewalk used by motorists. Best sunset in Ubud.

TJ Biddle (15/11/2016 15:11)
Wow! The view is stunning! Fantastic date spot, cozy and relaxing! Watch out for the mosquitos if you come during the night though! I love the idea of ringing the bell when you need service, it gets attention quick and it just adds to the atmosphere, especially since it's such a relaxed place and not upscale at all!

Kadri K (15/11/2016 03:25)
I'm giving this place three stars only because of the location, which is really stunning. The food, however, is nothing special. I had a vegetarian platter and finished only half of it as it was just not good. Next time, I would only have a drink there.

Rupert Kaufmann (30/08/2016 05:38)
This Cafe is a pleasant 10min walk through the rice paddies. Beautiful views over the fields, so relaxing. Great for a break from a walk or for sunset. You can sit on cushions on the floor or on rattan padded chairs. Granted, some of it looks a little worn - but you are really here in the middle of the rice fields for the views and to relax...

Jason Mackay (30/09/2016 13:41)
Such a cool spot. I love how you feel like you're on a ship hovering over the rice fields. Food is amazing as well!

budiono tri (22/08/2016 02:07)
Watching sunset in the middle of the rice field! That the sentence that define this place. The place have a quite distance, so if you do love walk while looking around the scene of ricefield then you will enjoy it. The food is good and healthy also has a fruit of the day, so the juice or the drinks would be organically change on the menu.

Jordan Oliver (19/08/2016 03:11)
The view and setting is un like anything else. Make the walk into the rice terraces, check out some local art on the way. Then settle in for a sunset meal over looking the rice fields. Good prices considering the setting. A must do for a unique experience. This is probably what most people were expecting out of Ubud and it was nice that it did not disappoint

You need a good stamina to reach this nice restaurant by walking. It's very far from Ubud main road, if you go by foot, maybe you'll hungry again when you walk back to the main road.....ideal for motorbike or bicycle....

Search for their website for a map, if you use car, you must search for the parking along the road, then you walk to the path near Pura Dalem or the sign of Abangan Bungalow. Don't worry, if you want go there easy, just hire an ojek, there's a small painter gallery at the path entrance, ask them to take you with their motorbike. It cost Rp 15.000,- for one way, ask their phone number, so if you finished your meal, you can call him to pick you back to the main road......

Once you reach the cafe, wow.....very nice view of the rice field. Sitting in the middle of rice field, feel the fresh air and breeze. Maybe before you go there, ask or call the management, is the paddy still grow or already harvested. The restaurant interior now growing old and rather dirty at the top, it's because they use only tent to make the roof, there's hole everywhere, so if rain fall, it'll pouring to inside, perhaps they should renew the tent....

The food is good, their famous pizza is the favorite menu, but sure you can choose another, there's plenty menu. The price is average (consider everything expensive in Bali now), the service is okay, could be better....

Just sit and enjoy the view, eat you meal slowly, drink slowly and....life so beautiful...

Zsolt Bakó (11/06/2016 06:05)
Overpriced but good food, view is nice but there are plenty of restaurants with similar view. The road leading to this place is the worst I ever found while driving around Bali.

Ben Munro (24/03/2016 22:14)
Very dated, and not in a good way. Everything their looks very tired, there is mold growing all over the canopy. The seating is starting to look very tatty. The staff are inattentive. The food took over an hour to arrive.
The view is nice enough, but that can equally be had outside, or anywhere else along the walk.
