a truly magical resort, hidden away and surrounded by beautiful nature. Listen to the jungle whilst watching the magnificent views, highly recommended when you need a break from your busy life

One of a kind place to get away from it all. This was my 3rd visit. I choose a bungalow near the stream and the sound of water rushing through the rocks has a calming effect. It's wonderful to wake up in the mornings in the midst of such lush vegetation. The resort is beautifully landscaped with water gardens and paths through the greenery. The dining is tasty and healthy with many vegetables and fruits grown there. It can be a bit dangerous if one is not sure-footed. The drive in and out is very rough but also passes by some very beautiful scenery.

Honeymoon Heaven. The bumpy trip up the mountain feels like the start of an adventure but that's what we really wanted... to get away from the crowds. We arrived at night but woke next morning to wonderful views from Waterfall bungalow. After a busy wedding, we really needed a quiet romantic place just to chill, rest and relax. Massages were lovely. We headed to the yoga space every morning, read books in the library and went on walks. One morning, some friendly locals served up a fresh young coconut for us on the side of the road. One of the things I loved the most, was being able to connect with Balinese. All the staff are Balinese and looked after us really well. Just start each conversation with a smile and they respond warmly to you. It's great how the owner lets the Balinese land owners manage the place. You can find them in the office or the kitchen. You get a more authentic Balinese experience that way. They even organised a local priest to give us a Balinese blessing for our marriage. Overall, a great experience.

This is my third stay at Eco. The location is not far from a main road but plan 2 hrs drive to get to the airport.

Eco is surrounded by rice paddies, waterfalls and jungle. Everything from the villas to the jungle paths are very clean.

The staff couldn't be kinder and are focused on making sure guests are happy. The food is healthy and delicious.

I'm a bit of a world traveler so know something good when i see it.

If you are looking to get away from the crowds in Kuta and enjoy real Bali then Eco a great choice.

Two words - stay here!! Absolutely magical. Had the most relaxing time at this place and 5 days was not long enough!! Our bungalow was so beautiful with incredible views, the food was delicious and so fresh! Straight from their organic garden and the staff were wonderful. In the mornings we would get up out of our bed, walk down a winding path past the rice paddies and step straight into a waterfall. If you are looking for a holiday to recharge your batteries, this is the place. Am going back!!

Exceptional !!! One of the truly unique experiences one can have in Bali. Set in an outstanding location with gentle green rolling rice paddies all the way to the horizon is this delightful hidden gem that will nurture all your senses.
The bangalows are private and provide all possible comforts, the sound of gentle running water is never far away and will lull you into a dream you wish would never end.
Removed from the usual hustle and bustle of Bali, this place guarantees total peace.
The staff is most attentive and guarantees all aspects of your stay are taken care of.
The restaurant is a true treasure trove, with organic veggies from their own garden ensuring exquisite cuisine ! Try the deserts ! You'll be in heaven !
If you are lucky the ladies in the kitchen might teach you a trick or two.

We've been there a few times over the years and can't wait to get back !

This is a must visit destination when in Bali !

This place blew me away immediately & kept enchanting me. When we arrived I told my husband, “This is why we came to Bali.” Our bungalow overlooked the stunning waterfall on one side, rice terraces on the other side, and jungle all around us.

The staff were warm, accommodating, and always smiling. John, one of the owners, took extra time to meet & sit down with us.

The food was fresh, healthy, and delicious. The homemade bread, the spring rolls, the satay platter were especially memorable. (We recommend you save room for the sticky date cake after all the organic salad!)

We enjoyed one of the guided walks to learn about the local community, the ecosystem, & the large garden. We played in the waterfall, lounged on our deck, & got massages. I took advantage of the well-equipped yoga bungalow for a meditative yoga practice.

I hope to return to this magical place.

FYI, if you need climate control or get freaked out by creep crawlies, this is not the place for you. This is a nature immersion experience.

Such a special place! Since we got there we felt a peaceful vibe. We were incrediblely welcomed by the friendly staff. From our bungalow (Java) we were embedded by the sounds of nature. Waterfall, birds, grasshoppers composed a beautiful symphony. Bali Eco Stay is all you need to runaway from the noise and the busy side of Bali. As a eco friendly place, they kindly ask you to do not use your own shampoo, soap and mosquito spray because they reuse the water for the garden. They offer you these amenities hand made. Our bungalow had a fridge, a kettle and a burner, but it is not for cooking, as there are not pans available, but it is helpful for making a tea at night, when the restaurant is already closed. Plus, we enjoyed the waterfall, the swing and the beautiful view from our balcony. Hope we can go back there someday.

Bali Eco Stay is the most unique, beautiful and peaceful place in Bali. The luxurious rooms and the astonishing nature makes the stay a heaven on earth. We stayed three nights at this beautiful place and I almost cried when was time to leave. The rooms are beautiful chalets with an exquisite Balinese taste décor. The views and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing and at night you can hear the waterfall nearby. The hotel is fully integrated in the nature and you can tell that walking along the property. During the day you can take a stroll around the beautiful nature, take a Balinese cooking class which is a must during your stay or bathe at the waterfall nearby. The rice fields views are amazing. As well the property has Its own organic farm which you can visit and learn about local fruits and veggies. The food at the restaurant is delicious and for breakfast do not miss the Pancakes!! If this is not enough you can have a beauty treatment at their Spa. Bali Eco stay has exceeded our expectations, truly a luxurious place in the nature perfect for relaxation.

We stayed for 3 unforgettable nights at the Bali Eco Stay--it was the highlight of our time in Bali! They have done an incredible job of combining culture, luxury, and key elements of an eco-lodge to create a once in a lifetime experience. If you are looking to get off the beaten path and enjoy the serenity of Bali--this is the place for you.

I loved everything about this place. The warm welcome, the accommodation, the magic of the waterfall that I could walk to in less than five minutes. The local walks and views were stunning! The restaurant food was the best ever and to top it all the staff and the owner made it an awesome experience! I loved it that much I went back a week later with more friends who said it was the highlight of their stay in Bali!

This place might be heaven on earth. The nature surrounding the bungalows is absolute luxurious, and the rooms as well. I really loved the food and the kindness of the staff. Thank you for making my stay here forgettable, I'm hoping to be back soon. Big love to John, the owner, the kindest soul we found in Bali. Thanks for everything!

We stayed only two days at Bali Eco Stay, but it's definitely not enough to experience the place 100%! We had the Waterfall and Harvest bungalows, which are absolutely amazing. Between the sounds of the waterfall, birds and animals, but also fresh air and warm blanket, you will rest in peace in the middle of nature. when you wake up, the only thing you see is ricefields and jungle, so ideal place for sunset. The staff was discrete and very professional as well as friendly. The restaurant is amazing and specially the dessert they call '' Chocolate pot'', best dessert I ever had in Bali. Moreover, there are plenty of small or long walks to do around and surroundings are beautiful and natural. Thank you again John for this wonderful week-end :)

This is now the second time I stay in Bali Eco stay, and I must say I have spent one of the best night ever in this peaceful place. The hotel is hidden in the middle of the rice fields on the slope of Batukaru mount and offers stunning views. The staff is absolutely charming, the food is delicious. It is perfectly relaxing to spend a night with only the noise of nature around.
The best way to discover real Bali and get away from the crazy South Bali.
Thanks to all the team !

Bali Eco Stay is one of those magical places that makes you fall in love with Bali all over again. It is the place to reconnect with nature and yourself.

One of the many highlights of Bali Eco Stay is the amazing food, all organic and sourced from the land. I highly recommend taking a 'behind the scenes' tour of the gardens to truly appreciate the thought and effort put into creating fresh, nourishing food. The villas themselves are tastefully decorated, offer complete privacy and are cleverly designed to make the most of the surrounding lush green fields and mountains. I found private waterfalls and expanses of rice fields around every corner which simply took my breath away.

My heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone at Bali Eco Stay - thank you for making me feel at home in paradise! Suksma!

Staying at Bali Eco Stay is incredibly rejuvenating experience - wonderful bungalows with total privacy and great nature around, freshly cooked food by kind balinese women who know how to do best black rice pudding:) Plus veggies never tasted as good as they come from Bali Eco Stay organic garden. Water is pure spring water. You breath fresh air. And you can do all sorts of relaxing activities - swim in the waterfalls, do yoga in private studio with jungle view, get lost in rice fields, read books (they have great library!)... my mind and body has completely relax.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a break. Definitely need to come back!

One of the most beautiful properties I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The bungalows are exquisite - clean, comfortable and designed with sustainable principles in mind. The shower in the bathroom was amazing! Nothing is excessive or over the top, just beautiful simplicity and designed with care for the environment. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. And the view was breathtaking. I had a waterfall view with took my breath away but i saw the river bungalows and they were also amazing! Very clean and well maintained property. Services were fabulous. The organic food menu was wonderful - try the Balinese pancakes for breakfast! I was treated to a hot stone massage that was spectacular! Highly recommend for a total immersion in luxury and beauty!

Amazing place, sounds and stunning view, Bali Eco Stay is a truely green Ressort and settled on top of Mount Batukaru overlooking the nicest rice paddies. We stayed one night, which is far too less to fully enjoy the scenery. Fresh springwater, you can drink it while showering, a garden serving all the food being cooked and beautiful bungalows adjusted to fit into nature made this stay the greenest but also most unique experience I ever had. John the owner is an welcoming host and cares about the environmental impact of tourism deciding to run this place truely sustainable without wasting ressources while at the same time offering the standard of a 4*+ Ressort! He took us on a tour and explained how easily they make this place the greenest one in Bali!
You want to escape and disconnect from busy life and listen to the real sounds of nature- go there...

Gregg Wallace (10/05/2016 15:54)
Stayed for a full week in June 2014. Absolutely delighted with our stay -- the peaceful surroundings, exploring villages, hiking the volcano, door-to-door transport from the airport, and the welcoming service. Most impressive is the owner's commitment to sustainable tourism, a philosophy put in practice with everything from the ingredients to the building materials to the staffing-employment-management concept. Most highly recommended. -- Gregg Wallace, U.S./Switzerland

Great place first class service. An experience like no other location. Walking the rice fields and sleeping with the flowing water sounds. No bugs even though open rooms. Very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend more then two days stay to unwind.

Up in the hills, amid permaculture gardens, waterfalls and architecture of distinction, stands one of the most gorgeous places in the world. The wonderful people, sublime food, and vibration of the area enliven your spirit and feed the soul.
