I spent a wonderful week at Villa Asri under the auspices of the Editing in Paradise program – you couldn't ask for a more delightful setting, nor a place that would give you warmer or better care. The rooms were gorgeous; the pool was bliss; and the view across the river's gorge was stunning at any time of the day. An utterly enjoyable experience, and I certainly hope to return.

We felt our dream holiday began when we walked into Villa Asri Cepaka. The location is absolutely magic and the villa's are just as luscious. We spent many hours dipping in and out of the pool and just enjoying the serenity. We didn't feel an urge to leave the villa's, however, when we did head out to dinner there were plenty of good restaurants that were not too far away. My only only negative is that we didn't have enough time there! I would definitely recommend to anyone considering visiting Villa Asri.

A WONDERFUL PLACE TO BE CREATIVE!!
I loved Villa Asri so much I returned twice in 2015. The Villa was tranquil, stylish & unpretentious with staff that made me feel really welcome. My accommodation was such a peaceful retreat & with absolute river frontage lined with natural jungle it was full of delightful surprises like the sighting of a lone monkey, beautiful butterflies & Kingfishers flashing there exquisite iridescent blue plumage.....Allready planning my next stay

My business, Alive in Paradise, booked Villa Asri for our artists' and writers' retreats last October and all our guests enjoyed it immensely. The spacious rooms and living spaces are so comfortable, the staff were charming, friendly and helpful and the pool provided welcome breaks for everyone. We also enjoyed great food and walks through the village. We'll be back!

VILLA ASRI – SECRET PARADISE
Every morning around sunrise, our wakeup call is from the local rooster. This is as it has always been in this tiny rural village that is unknown to most of Bali’s tourists.
Cepaka is a tiny village about an hours travelling time from the airport at Denpasar but only 20 minutes drive from the busy beachside tourist centre of Canguu.
Families, including children, dogs and chooks, spend much time in the streets and I imagine that discussion centres around village life rather than the American election.
I noted an article I found online that reported on Cepaka’s “secret”. This tiny village, so close yet so far, from the tourist centres of Bali has several Australian owned 5 star villas, catering for a discerning audience. But you can walk through the village and not notice them, such is the design common to all.
We arrived at Villa Asri tired and stressed from a hectic few weeks post retiring from our business in Australia. The Villa is beautifully designed incorporating Balinese style and modern day amenities. The wonderful housekeeper Wayun lead a friendly and helpful staff who ensured that we wanted for nothing. The outstanding feature of this place is its location on the river with the whole property looking directly into tropical jungle on the opposite bank. Amongst the wildlife sightings were included the brilliant blue kingfisher and a pair of rarely seen Alu – a type of small freshwater crocodile.
With superb meals provided on-site and a driver available to whisk us into the bright lights of Canguu or Seminyak for some shopping or a meal this really is the best of both worlds. A truly secret paradise.

Villa Asri Cepaka is every bit as inviting and beautiful as it looks on their site! Spending a week with a girlfriend, I have already dreamt of returning for a family vacation.
Located in a charming village only 20 mins from Seminyak, it was an ideal place to retreat to after a day of hustle and bustle of doing business in Bali. Serenity awaited, a cool Bintang beer by the pool to unwind from the day!
They have a well appointed kitchen with a good oven and decent size fridge. The staff were also very helpful. I loved my little bungalow, it was spacious and very comfortable.
This would be a perfect place to hold a writers or yoga retreat.
It was wonderful week in paradise.
