For Solok, Mami Hotel might be the best option... The room are clean and comfortable, even though it's quite small. They have warm water, TV (no cable), WiFi (don't expect it to be super fast), and that's probably it. They serve breakfast, a mini buffet with signature Minang food... Taste is quite alright...
