This place is so peaceful and have lovely views. Rooms are great with very large wet shower rooms. Decor very calm and relaxing and a great breakfast. There was no driver available when we stayed and they ran out of soft drinks such as coca cola. Only water, beer and limited juice available so check before you arrive - we stayed in low season so could be why. Menu also limited as some dishes not available - again could be because low season.

Roomy bungalows in a green garden right by the beach. Beautifully arranged. Simple and stylish decor. Huge bathrooms equipped with towels, shampoo, shower soap, hand soap; large mirrors, thick matrass and many pillows. All come with a porch, table, chairs, canape. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the beach area. Very quiet, beautiful place. Delicious food. Big breakfast and young coconut as a welcome refreshment. Service is sweet! Very kind. There are a few mosquitoes outdoor, but the room is equipped with mosquito nets, burning spirals and electric device to discourage them. A lotion may help. Wifi superspeedy all around (room, breakfast area, beach).

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Amazing food (local), unbelievable views, fantastic staff, clean and nice rooms, and the best and most helpful owner I have ever met. If you really want to discover the beauty of Indonesia and Flores, this is the place. Cannot wait to be back! Really recommended.

A fabulous resort with lovely rooms, helpful staffs and great food. We enjoyed our stay here because it is well hidden yet very peaceful. Tried to stay in 2 other accommodations and we think this is the best in Maumere. The owner is definitely one of the nicest and helpful person we've met in Maumere.
We really love their room design, it is spacious, very clean and well maintained. And also the huge bathroom with running hot water is a big plus. The friendliness of all the staffs and their desire to make sure you have everything you need does make your holiday feel more specials!
And you can also rent a SUP, arrange boat trip for Island hopping and other land based excursions straight from the resort, and the prices are very reasonable! Hassle free!

Really great place to relax! Feels like you have a private beach in haven (including Palms like a on a painting), so peaceful and nice! The host is one of the nicest I have ever met and I am travelling a lot. He is not sitting with you all the time like others but when always you need something he is there to help you. Also the stuff is really great! They serve you all dishes where ever you want them to eat and having breakfast on the beach is more than great. You have WiFi everywhere so you will miss nothing. Also they know a lot of day trips they can recommend. We really loved this place and we are looking forward to come back. If you want to visit the Kelimutu fly to Ende and stay a night in Moni and after you have seen this place stay in this perfect location to relax and drift away. We thought it is much closer but from Ende it is a five hour ride by car. You see a lot on this trip but doing it twice is absolutely not necessary ;). So big Thanks for the nice days to the hole crew! Take care and see you again! Cheers, Felix & Claudia

Highly recommended - lovely little resort on a beautiful stretch of beach just 15 mins outside of Maumere. Don't expect mega luxury, but the villas have everything that you need with decent air con and nice design. The beach is the main draw with really fantastic snorkelling right out the front - at low tide it's just like diving, however watch out for the sea urchins which my son got spiked by - Tumpal and his team came to the rescue though and administered local but effective remedies. The food is good but limited, we tended to go for one meal a day at the neighbouring resort; SeaWorld. Get Tumpal to arrange a boat and snorkelling trip around the nearby islands for you - outside of that Amrita is just the perfect place to unwind for a few days.

Without a doubt, THE BEST!!
We have tried two other resorts in Maumere and Amrita is hands down was the best and the winner! The service was very good, our room was perfect, the bathroom is spacious, a hot water shower is also available! The aircon worked flawlessly, a fan and a fridge are also available for you inside the room. We are very lucky to have stayed in this resort and met the owner Mr. Tumpal, he is such an awesome cool person with lots of travel stories and experiences to share. We spent our nights having conversation with him till late at night, he lent us his computer to make backups of our photos and videos during our trip. Don't worry about ordering your meals here, he has a very good 'cook', we had a chance to have our dinner together, it was fabulous! Our server was really nice, her name was Lucia, she was very helpful. You can go have a dip, swim and snorkeling at the beach in front of the resort and they have stand up paddle boards available for you to rent, we rented one and had a relaxing morning paddle at the beach, if you stay in Amrita you should try it!
We love it here! We definitely going to stay at Amrita again in the future. We can't wait to be back! And for those who are looking for a place to stay in Maumere, look no further, Amrita Maumere Resort is the answer!
Check out the pictures of the resort we took during our stay:

Paradise!
Amrita resort is located on the beach about 9km from Maumere. After 30 years traveling it is always a joy to find those little pieces of paradise. We extended our stay twice and could have stayed forever. The owner Tumpal is sensational, nothing is too much trouble, such a nice person. The food...speechless!! he has an amazing 'cook' who prepares meals including freshly caught fish delivered to your villa at the time of your choosing. We ate all our meals here...a first for us. The villa has everything (except TV in the room although there is one on the huge balcony...never switched it on) excellent aircon, fan, mosquito net, fridge, power points (often missing even in some of the most expensive places we have stayed in) even an adapter, beautiful recycled wood furnishing, crisp white cotton sheets, and a bed that ensures a wonderful nights sleep as you listen to the waves lapping on the shore. If l was to own or run a boutique resort, it would be modelled on this. With a 100% certainty we will be back!!
