Amazing facility - My husband and I are avid coffee lovers but the site stole our hearts. We've had our most relaxing days here out of our near 3 week stay in Indonesia. The spa is unbelievable - packages are affordable considering it's a 5 star resort. The food especially, is affordable...the drinks however, are not (heavy taxes). Travel Tip: Purchase wine or spirits prior to coming to the resort either at the duty free before arriving in Java, or somewhere in the airport. Walking somewhere from the resort isn't impossible, but isn't ideal, therefore, procure it before you get Mesastila - we definitely wish we did.
Overall, the staff are fantastic and helpful. Because it's tucked away, the Resort organizes things for the guests to do everyday free of charge like yoga, coffee plantation tour, batik etc. Would recommend and would be lucky to come back.

THE best resort we have stayed at in the world. In the heart of Central Java Mesastila offers a true sanctuary to relax, enjoy some delicious Javanese food and coffee and explore some of the countryside. We went back to the spa twice and the Hammam was a super nice touch - opted for the Arabian Nights package and left more relaxed then we have ever been. The staff at the resort made the experience - by day two they all had remembered our names and the chef even came out to prepare a special dinner for us. A couple tips (1) try to arrange your own transportation as the hotel charges $600k (note in Bali we paid $700k for 8-hours of driving) // (2) try to pick up your own wine at duty free as they charge an arm and leg for alcohol at this resort (was almost $7USD for a Bitang when we got it for less than $2 in Bali). Overall amazing experience just expect to double what you paid for the hotel in expenses while there.

A great place to relax. Loved the tranquility of the place. All green calm and quiet. And also you can have the most expensive mee goreng in all of Indonesia in here....jk.

Unique resort, surrounded by mountains, secluded but not too far from Yogya, Villas are private, lots of activities, foods are great, and the coffee is awesome, service too is first class, perfect for laze around, especially for coffee lovers.

Very sweet place to escape from the routine, clear air , beautiful scenary . You can experience many activities from yoga to plantation coffee. Even the price is not cheap but it worth your money. Delicious food too..

Love the resort with the privacy they offer. Its a real relaxing place. The colonial building as the meeting point at this place is great. The Javanese furniture and the old time Javanese ambience with the view of mountain. Fresh air...and they also offer you afternoon tea from 3 to 5 for free. Sat and enjoy the sunset. All staff extremely awesome.

A really nice place to relax and stay away from city noise. Quiet rooms, and for elderly, there are golf carts prepared to ease transportation.

Amazing place to relax and immerse yourself in the culture of Central Java, while enjoying fine dining and luxurious accommodations. The staff is top notch and go out of their way to make sure that no need goes unmet. The traditional villas are superbly appointed. Definitely worth a second visit!

Me & my family visit for bfast. The staff was helpful enough. The ambience was very relaxing. Peaceful and calm surrounding. Food was delicious, although a little bit pricey. They had large parking area. Location was a little bit off the main street Ambarawa-Magelang.

As soon as you enter you leave the hectic world behind. Beautiful, tranquil, restful; we've never been anywhere quite like this.
Would recommend the plantation tour, afternoon tea and playing croquet on the lawns.
All-in-all a fantastic experience and highly recommended.
