There was a mess up while I made the booking from the net from your hotel website. I will know the entire implications when I finally get by bill for credit card.
I am very thankful to your duty manager for understanding the matter looking in to it and promising me that if there are any double charges then she is most willing to help me out.
My regret is that when we book on the hotel website there is mention if the Rates with or without breakfast, Another issue I faced was that after making the for check-in on May 12, 2018 and check out on May 15, 2018, a screen popped up saying that my reservation is confirmed for May 10 & 11. It further advised that I contact the hotel for confirmation. My card was charged and I was stuck because I was to arrive in Surabaya only on May 12, 2018 evening. I shared all the mails and whatsapp up messages with the duty manager.
I suggest that there is definite need to look in to the working of your website / portal otherwise it will not be possible to trust your portal for booking and I do not know if I can make a booking by calling your hotel and make a booking without sharing credit card details.

The entire visit from reception, Dining, SPA pool area and service all 5 star experience.
A team to recommend and to be proud off. I will recommend them to all.

As expected, Shangri-La always have a large impressive and cosy lobby, although the lobby at Surabaya looks old and tired. All the service staff from Reception, Concierge, Housekeeping, Cafe to Club Lounge are helpful and friendly. My only comment is the Club Lounge which is small for the non smoking area. The snack provided is limited and the alcohol quality is of lower grade compared to my experiences with other club lounges. But overall I am quite happy with my stay.

Amazing hotel. The room I was given upon arrival was better than I expected. The horizon club is also a great luxury touch. The food is to die for and the staff is so nice and helpful it feels like you want to be there for a long time and not go home. Great stay at this place. Faultless. Highly recommendable

Berhubung saya kesini buat urusan seminar jadi hanya bisa review ballroom nya aja. Suasananya cozy banget kaya Indonesia tempo dulu dengan banyak ukiran kayu di lobby & tempat tunggunya luas. Ballroom juga luas, rapi & dingin. Untuk layarnya udah pakai TV besar kaya buat reklame, bukan proyektor lagi.

We live in Surabaya and this was a Staycation/Birthday Celebration for my daughter and I. Our experience was fabulous. The amenities, the food, the pool and the service were wonderful. I enjoyed the value the Horizon Club offered us and the people who made our visit so enjoyable. We will be back.

I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel, yet I felt dissapointed as there was no ironing board found inside the room, while I have to iron my clothes. However, I found Breakfast were excellent and varies, check-in process was quick and pleasant. Swimming pool was big and nice. Room amenities were also complete.
The things disturbed me were the model of water closet that I was not familiar with, as there was no water spray to clean up, that is usually found in a normal water closet. the other thing was hair dryer that was found in unusual place, in a drawer of a working table, and no iron board inside the room, as usually found in an luxurious hotel.

The hotel staffs were helpful and very polite. There was a leak from my room window during a heavy rain causing a puddle inside my room. I was offered to change rooms but i declined and they cleaned up the puddle and moved the furniture, then gave us a bowl of fruits as an apology. That was okay, but i never expected a leak in a hotel room. There were also hot water repair and construction work which i was informed during check in, but it was a bit uncomfortable. My check out was a bit late because the hotel staffs had their hands full so we got to wait around 20-30 mins. I believe it could be better.

From outside it doesn't seems a very nice place but when you go inside is completely an other world. Amazing. There are an Italian restaurant and a pub/club. The restaurant is nice, the services is very good and delicious food. The club have live music but there wasn't a lot of people when I came there.

Room interior was nice & cozy. Staffs are nice & professional. But the wall between room is quite thin that makes me could hear next door's voices.

Great hotel with high class service. But there is under construction,, so a little bit uncomfortable.. but new design of the room are really minimalist design.. i love it 😍😍😍

Renovated rooms really well done I must say compliment for that. But they still renovating what they don't mention when you book, what is not fair. When you arrive they tell you about it and you don't have a choice anymore. After several complains they try to find a solution by downgrading with not even a discount on the room they offer complimentary which I don't need. By now we have the same room far away from the renovation and they really did there best to make the room comfortable. Still love this hotel but be aware Shangri-la not to lose guest by doing this. In my opinion it's better to mention it on the website and bookings site's or close also the floors under the renovation area.

Excellent staff that go above and beyond. Upgrade to include the horizon lounge is definitely worth it. The new upgraded rooms are perfectly appointed. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel with good facilities and friendly staff. Rich breakfast and good restaurants for lunch and dinner. There is also a bar with live music for a couple of drinks at night. Rooms are spacious, clean with mini bar . There is also a mall nearby that can provide further shopping and dining options. The swimming pool area is very attractive with a bar inside the pool. It has a separate section for children.

Bad food. I went here for my auntie wedding and I didn't like the food. The food isn't fresh for me because when its served, it was cold. But good place.

The hotel is not so bad, but honestly 5 stars are not full.. Maybe 4 and a half. There are some new rooms and that are so nice. The prices are high level.

The building is a bit old. Probably needs a lot of refurbishment. The staffs are not too friendly, especially in the restaurants. Overall, nice ambience, good food, great rooms.

Best place to stay in Surabaya. The room is spacious & comfortable, good selection for breakfast, and friendly staff. There is also a big mall nearby.

The best place for staying in surabaya. The meeting room nice. Buffeet for lunch or dinner were very delicious. Coffee lounge were very comfortable. Service very good.

One of the oldest and still one of the better 5-stars hotel in Surabaya. Might be in the process of a renovation. Good selection of restaurants. Parking can be hard to find on weekends and during wedding receptions or other events

Came here as participants of Mark Plus Inc. event. The ballroom was good but there's delay delivering meal issues. I believe all crew can handle it better.

A huge thank you should go to all the staff and the Shangri-La because they truly are the heart and soul of this hotel. Yes the hotel is no longer the most modern and fresh in Surabaya, but I have never for sterile (unless you booking a hospital bed) that appealing.
Walking into the Shangri-La Surabaya feels like coming home, you genuinely and I do mean genuinely feel welcomed from the moment you step inside.
Booking this hotel always brings a smile to my face, nowhere feels quite like home but the Shangri-La in Surabaya is almost there & I look forward to heading back in 2017!

I have held my customer wedding as Wedding Organizer here twice. Service and food are just good for 5 star hotel standard, and also the room, but the ballroom, lounge and bar is great..

Trully 5 star hotel
I came to Shangri-La Hotel only for one night at 2-3 December 2016. But got very pleasant experience.
As getting to the hotel, all baggages were scanned and detected by metal detector in the front of lobby. Then, the security offered to take care of then delivered to our room.
The pleasant greeted also got in the reception and they serviced us in very well. While waiting to check in, they gave us welcome drink, and accompanied until reached the gate of the lift. The service was simple but good and make us very comfortable.
We got room 1606 which was very nice, big bed, and compact bath room. Also they delivered welcome fruit as compliment.
Shangri-La Hotel located in West Surabaya , it is near Surabaya highway gate, Ciputra World Business Block, and Also Paragon Estate Surabaya. Overall, my partner and I were very happy to stay in Shangri-La Hotel Surabaya.
