Good things about Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel.
Yes, the hotel is five star and absolutely beautiful. The rooms are clean and tidy with a touch of luxury gadgets. The location is very good.
And now the BAD.
The hotel is WAY TO BIG, it takes 10 minutes to walk from reception to the West Wing. The check-in starts at 2pm we went to the hotel at 3pm, by the time we got our rooms it was 7pm. Four hours we had to wait at reception. The things they don't tell you is, they will keep a day deposit for each individual room. The Card deposit is not paid back immediately at checkout so in my case if they did bill me for something, I will no longer be in the country to defend the billing.
The hotel has over 900 rooms so as you can imagine at breakfast you have to wait in line for a LONG time. The AC unit in the room are set on 20c and you can't change the temperature. My friends room temperature rose up to 24c (British summer temperature) and couldn't do anything about it.
The hotel has conference room which doesn't help with the high number of people walking in and out. Even though all your needs will be met, BELIEVE ME, you are just a guest with a number. You won't feel special, nobody will even recognise you coming in and out.
I don't even think they know who are guests and who is not. People just seem to randomly walk in and out without even being challenged. If you have any dry cleaning, take it to the local dry cleaners.
The price they charge for dry cleaning is way too high for a five star hotel.
