Good airport with lots of connectivity. Maintained very neat and clean. You will get plenty of lounge options here and filled with all the shops and restaurants u look for. Another key thing is the though it's low cost architecture, it's maintained rich with the use of colorful paints!! There r plenty of displays of arrival and departure. Staffs are friendly too!!

N Anand (27/05/2018 12:45)
A great airport. Visited it twice at different time zone. Unfortunately it was closed at 2 am and opened at 6 am barring a few shops. Enjoyed my stay there

What a delightfully clean and modern airport. I loved it. Well laid out. Good signage, colourful, clean toilets. I'd give 5 stars if it weren't for lack of toilets in our departure lounge area. There was only a ambulant (handicap) one available.

The Zabbasz (30/04/2018 14:26)
A nice airport. Impressed on how low cost terminal has grown this big in Malaysia. Staffs are friendly. Various shop lots operation. Clean toilets. A fully satisfied guest I am. Well done, please sustain and improve even more.

Decent airport with nice staff, lots of shops and food options, but downside is the lack of 25 hour amenities and food inside the transit lounge, also chairs and nap long chairs were very dirty and you can see food crumps and stuff lying around and in between the chairs. Hence 4 stars, otherwise overall, it's a simple airport with generally all the things you need. But definitely can be improved.

Was there for a transit layover for 10 hours.

They have airport care ambassadors which is nice, different airport lounges but the movie lounge was a let down. They also have water coolers with plastic cups all over the place so that was very convenient.

The airport's site spans 100 square kilometres (39 sq mi) 2,[4] of former agricultural land and is one of the world's largest airport sites. An ambitious three-phase development plan anticipates KLIA to have three runways and two terminals each with two satellite terminals.[5] Phase One involved the construction of the main terminal and one satellite terminal, giving a capacity of 25 million passengers, and two full service runways. The Phase One airport had sixty contact piers, twenty remote parking bays with eighty aircraft parking positions, four maintenance hangars and fire stations. Phase Two, designed to increase capacity to 35 million passengers per year is largely complete. Phase Three is anticipated to increase capacity to 100 million passengers per year.[5]

This is international airport of Malaysia. Very much big & busy airport. Lots of airlines give their transit and it is the another main income source of Malaysia Government. They have very tight and help full security, nice accommodation service and inter terminal transportation service. But they have language problem with English. Large number of workers can not speak English. Here lots of Shop for food & shopping. They have nice & organized system for physically disabled & wheel chair accessible people with lift and parking. They have service officer who's duty is taking information from passengers and opinion of Airport Service.

One of the best international airports in the world. The directions/guidance placed for every activity is awesome. The staff is very friendly. Immigration staff is very friendly and cooperative. I loved their attitude. The airport has food options for every country people

Mr. Joshi (18/03/2018 02:17)
Great airport. Clean and well organized. A lot of good food options for a short lay over. Lots of shopping options there as well. Easy to kill a few hours here.

Samina K (10/03/2018 14:45)
As airports go I would rate this 3.5. It is spacious, has many duty free shops but it has its limitations. The range of restaurants is limited with few global food brands. One part of the airport has just 4 restaurants and if you want more choice you need to take a train to go to the other section of the airport. There aren't enough elevators or lifts. Washrooms have only 3 per unit and these are few too. There is a burger king but hard to find as it hidden from view. There are no electrical outlets for sitting and working at the gates. The phone charging stations are one per 7-8 gates. Security check is repeated at the gates. Prices at duty free are not comparable to Changi or Dubai or Mumbai or NYC. But they are still good bargains. If you have children ensure you get snacks for them. Choices for children aren't many.

Paxus Luna (08/03/2018 00:07)
As far as airports go its pretty efficient, clean, well serviced. Quite a lot of shopping and retail choices. The same goes for food and drink options.
Most main airlines have a lounge here. Also other lounges available and general relaxing and tv areas. A couple of adjacent airport hotels too. Worth exploring.

One of the best International Airport in the world, it's more like a Mall like experience with lots of shops, fast-food outlets and other local eateries to take a good quick snacks or meals.
The best thing is that you can spend hours inside the airport and you won't get bored or lost. It's really a good place to enjoy the view of the fun and happy expression of the arrival passengers and also to see the love and affection of the family and friends when they are there to send their loved ones.
Besides these there is a viewing gallery to sit and enjoy the flight that come in to Malaysia and those that take off.

On the whole it is one of the best friendly and clean Airport.

Sumeet Gandhi (27/11/2017 05:23)
Nice Experience: I have traveled to many countries, had a wonderful experience at KL international Airport. Duty Free Shops were offering really good deals and you have lot of eating joints to have food. People are really humble to talk and area is quiet big. But the only flaw is the arrival part is little out dated, not too many things to offer and no lounge on arrival. Rest I give this airport 4 Star and It offer Free WIFI at a very good speed.

Husni Jabir (20/11/2017 22:51)
Well organized airport. Friendly staff. Has nicely built waiting areas. The airport has sign board with sufficient information.

Transport facilities from the airport to Kuala Lumpur city is excellent.

The airport has many Muslim pray rooms.

Syed Haseeb (08/11/2017 03:30)
The biggest International airport of Malaysia which serves as the main gateway with lots of duty free choices available it's a fun shopping here.
Restrooms are clean & friendly staff's are available almost every where ready to help.
Many immigration counters but still to avoid delays or any mishaps I suggest to reach here as early as 3 hours from your international flight time.

Stephen Abraham (04/10/2017 20:48)
Very spacious airport, good connections and easily accessible. Everything feels clean and modern. Check in is fairly easy. The one thing I thought can be improved is that the departure hall limited seating chairs. Other than that all is fine.

CandyMan FlightChannel, Gaming and more! (30/09/2017 08:57)
Large Airport and with the toilets, they have actual toilets. Not that many squat toilets which I don't use.
I've only used them a few times, but I prefer not to.

Ashok. Gopu (24/09/2017 14:35)
Well maintained, clean place. Sign boards are well placed. Didn't face any problem till date

Vishal Jindal (07/09/2017 09:17)
For me the experience was nice, well maintained. Can get a temporary phone SIM within the airport. Friendly staff and people. Immigration line was not too big, hardly waited for 15min. for my turn in the queue.

Boris Vivares (24/08/2017 06:45)
Travel a lot though! Airport really need an upgrade for sure. After 50+ travel over 20yrs in Malaysia. KL airport still stay an iconic airport in SEA. Although Singapore take the flagship. Malaysian Authority should consider more investment and a drastic revamp of the premises to compete with other airport in the region. Also duty free selection and outlook need a big improve unless you like to walk a lot.
Improve pls!!!

Lolek Bolek (22/08/2017 02:31)
The laziest immigration I have ever seen in my life. I spent 2 hours (!) in a never-ending line of tired people while the two available officers were enjoying chatting and laughing more than doing their actual work. In the end one of them, a female, just got bored and walked away and the other laid back and kept on talking to whoever came to his booth. What a disgrace. Definitely the worst in southeast Asia. I will avoid it in the future.

Panini I (15/07/2017 06:03)
Inefficient and slow check in counters and no separate line for online check-ins as you have to stand in the same long terrible queue as everybody who hasn't checked in online (malaysia airlines).

Horrible queue times for passport control when arriving and leaving the country, the immigration officers take lots of time. It was funny that they bragged about receiving award for "best immigration service 2017", so ironic!

Ajay Kumar (15/07/2017 03:40)
Great airport !
Clean , neat , comfortable.
Latest technologies and facilities .
Good restaurants and Eateries.
Very clean restrooms .
Place is constructed to help disabled people as well .
Aged people will also love the place with comfort.

Guillaume BALLY (13/07/2017 12:13)
C'mon...really...i didn't know it was possible to be that bad!!!! Had to wait more than one hour for the police check, only two policeman for over 200 foreigners. And do you gays know that you can show directions very easily?? Just put signs!
Good thing is Malaysians are really friendly and helpful. But c'mon, the first impression we have from a country is the airport.

Amy Landon (30/06/2017 03:02)
I would've thought an international airport would allow you to buy something/anything other than water to drink. Then, when you try to buy the water, there's a minimum charge, so you try to buy a bunch of other stuff you don't even want, to meet the minimum, but then discover they only take certain cards. Of course yours isn't one of them. Then there's no ATM in the terminal, so you can't get cash. Whatever you do, do not go in the bathrooms. They're disgusting & smell horrific. Come on KUL , at least pretend to be an international airport.

Pri Bello (17/05/2017 03:20)
Beautiful but bad administrated. It wants to be a hub but there is no organization for late night land over. I had to sleep on the floor, and a employee asked me to go to another place because that hall area to the gate of.my flight would be closed till my boarding time and I should get out and pass again through the security but when I was about to do it a lot of people passed through the security. I experienced domestics airport with better services.

Anita Seman (02/05/2017 05:11)
This is the main airport, I would like to see it brighter, better ventilation and most importantly to have a REALLY good signage to car rental place. Somehow no more signage after the walk-alator right before car park building. I mean good, first timer will get lost there and I am not alone. My sister just arrived today and they are struggling to get to the place! Imagine having to lug all the big luggage and pram and other things. So please improve. I feel this is one of the biggest set back and not happy about it

Ahmed Chishti (20/04/2017 11:36)
A very busy and bit tricky airport. Cleanliness should be improved. We arrived at on Sunday and car rental company offices inside the airport were found to be closed. Very far from the KL City but 45 Min highspeed train ride is very nice. You are welcomed with greenery and moisture :)

Riju Rajan (28/03/2017 08:33)
Usually when you are switching flights screens are kept to show your connection. Well not here. Screens are placed at some obscure corner. Otherwise airport is pretty good. Train is there to take you between terminals. IF you manage to find a map it is easy to navigate. If you do not you are doomed.

aziph mustapha (22/03/2017 13:28)
To be brutally honest, Malaysia's premier airport and gateway to the world is getting a bit dated. Just a bit. But its no longer the cutting edge hands down best airport in the region. Don't get me wrong, its still one of the best airports in the world, based on cleanliness, ease of navigation, full menu of passenger services, friendliness of staff and many more attributes. It does have a honest to goodness rain forest within the airport satellite terminal.

Shopping is really good here especially in the international terminal. The staff are generally friendly and congenial.

Rodrigo Bastias (14/03/2017 11:42)
Ive been here like 5 to 7 times and it will depends. Sometimes super fast service and sometimes you will be in customes/police for 2 to 3 hrs. You can find everything here. Huge airport. Discover it and have fun, like I do when I travel.

Legollas Charles (13/03/2017 11:28)
Great airport. Clean and well maintained. World class standard. Highly recommended! :)

jay pachchigar (25/02/2017 17:02)
Amazing airport. We were stranded here for 12 hours and it was actually a decent experience. Quite a few lounges to choose from. Choice of food is insane. The Popeye's here is so good I ate there twice! Best fries I've probably ever had.

davo dw (12/02/2017 04:01)
This airport is stunning - you will struggle to find a piece of rubbish or dust anywhere! Apart from being an immaculate terminal, it offers a wide variety of shopping and dining experiences. Despite its size, it is extremely structured with clear signage and organisation of immigration, security and boarding gates.

Vachintha Piyadasa (18/01/2017 06:47)
Massive airport with an enormous number of shops. Operations are well streamlined with all the modern facilities. Staff may not be as polite as in Japan, but can give a decent rating. Wing shuttles are operated to reach to certain gates and the required information could be obtained via the information desk or the notice boards. Lounges are well maintained and spread across a wide area.

Thameemul Ansari (23/11/2016 11:48)
One of best International Airports as far as myself is concern. A bit old by now, very convenient as all amenities are with reachable, don't have to walk far long. Feel like home all 5 floors and reaching and leaving as well. You can feel comfort of departure and landing. Though in KLIA2 a lot of room to improve.

Krishnamurthy Sridhar (07/11/2016 10:45)
I have transited few times via KL International. A good airport terminal with decent facilities and shopping experience. It has decent WiFi connection and choice of restaurants. The only issue is rest rooms, maintenance require major improvement. Plenty of seating available for relaxation.

Kylie Brown (28/10/2016 13:33)
Not enough toilets and smelt really bad. After being checked twice for luggage and passport the gate had more security and the guy i got was rude and saying i don't look like my photo. Really in and out of different countries and 2 people before you had no problem in airport. Could not wait to leave ruined the experience.. lucky i had my license too cause he must not of worn his glasses last night.

Frederick Noronha (06/10/2016 01:12)
Very upmarket, modern and convenient. Found it easy to move around, and find one's way. Good shops in the area too. It connects well with the rest of the city, that is KL. Customs was very polite and efficient. Good job overall.

Joseph Achman (13/09/2016 05:46)
Huge airport. Absolutely huge. But still pretty well organized and their transit system makes it easy to access the city of KL. They also get bonus points from me for having a Burger King that is the only one I've found in the last 5-10 years that still serves the French Chicken Sandwich. It's trashy, but it's wonderful.

Scott G (14/08/2016 10:33)
The bathrooms in KL international airport stank and the toilets looked dirty. Thankfully I did not have to use the toilets here. The airport seems to offer ample seating and has a number of places to get meals, snacks and drinks from but all in all I really wasn't impressed and found the airport needed a good clean. Perhaps the airport management team can look up to the likes of Dubai and London airports for inspiration on how to improve.

Melih SENTURK (05/08/2016 05:51)
Terrible i delayed flight .this all their mistake but they didnt make anything my any problem they didnt fix. Before transiy hotel choose just check. Bcoz they sent to me more than 40 min far to fukinng terrible hotel. If you will choose this airline you have to think again and again. Just give more money . I never will select fujing this airlines.

timyee88 (25/07/2016 07:31)
It used to be an efficient airport. Last couple of flights proven otherwise with Malaysia Airlines. The queue for departure immigration has been incredibly long. This time made me miss my flight. Almost an hour lining up. Immigration officers also not helpful when I told them I was about to miss my flight. They told me to line up again because there are many people that need to be processed as well. Thanks KLIA.
Further to this, some serious maintenance needs to be done to the airport. Found most men's toilets over flowing with urine, broken wall panels, dirty flooring, stained walls, stained carpet. It used to be such a pleasant airport.

Christoph Kupper (20/07/2016 03:19)
Despite looking modern, the airport is filthy. Queues at immigration are unpredictable and officers are mostly nasty. Asian hospitality does not start here. Try to avoid toilets as they are the worst in any county in South East Asia: not properly maintained, most of the sinks in bad shape, dirty, and smelly. Despite this dozens of cleaning personnel running around.

TheRDMagee (05/06/2016 01:40)
As an International tourists I'd have to say for newer built airports this would have to be considered a complete failure. Check in for Malaysian Airlines is a complete mess. Immigration departure control is a complete mess. Get into in International departures and there is nowhere to eat other than Starbucks or White Coffee, which are both packed because there are no other options. Restrooms look like this at a bus station. Simply a horrible airport.
