Horrible experience with ver bad and irresponsible behaviour of Airasia staff at the transit counter. They rude and misbehave. He refused to give his name when asked. Our request was to help transfer the luggage from from baggage area to security.
Synopsis is that it is better to pay more and get good service that be subject to airasia staff abuse

Hello, I'm not Gullible Japanese :)
By the way, how could your cabin attendant try to pilfer changes when I bought a drink? Did he think I didn't even know of currency rate?
I don't think that was his first time. That was like his side job.
Hey Air Asia, why don't you give your lovely staff enough salary? They are not criminals, just victims!
Thank you! Arigato~

This airport is huge. Too huge. It's like they were compensating for something. Size does not matter. It would be a lot better if I didn't have to walk a marathon to get to the boarding gates and back. The passenger buggies are inconsistent and not practical. Great selection of eateries though.

Budget airline terminal but look nice.
1. There is international transfer counter available.
- If you do not have check-in luggage, you may consider transfer at the counter. If you bought AirAsia fly through ticket, you also can transfer here (but may sure that your luggage already checked-in to your final destination)
- Otherwise, you can exit the arrival hall and go to one level higher, proceed to international departure hall on the right side. (Domestic departure hall is on the left side)
2.There is domestic transfer sign board but could not find the counter.
- If you do not have luggage check in, and you have boarding pass, just go to the departure gate. (But you must know your departure gate numbers there.)
- Otherwise, you can exit the arrival hall and go to one level higher, proceed to domestic departure hall on the left side. (International departure hall is on the right side)

Big but very budget. I guess budget airline = budget airport -__-;;

Vastly spacious. Lots of options to choose in case you are hungry. Very clean and tidy. I loved the smoking zone!

A mall right beside an international airport. Need I say more? A varied selection of food, and a few retail shops. A good way to pass time while on a layover in klia2.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the new budget terminal. Previously it was a tin shed and horrible display board. Now it's a vibrant airport with good array of shops and food outlets. They certainly need to refine which gates are for local airlines as the team at information desk had to resort to hand written signs. (2 3 or 4 for air Asia x)

This is a shopping mall with an airport attached to it, KLIA 2 has more shops and eateries compared to KLIA terminal 1. if you have more time to waste in KLIA, you might as well go to KLIA 2 and skip the outlet mall nearby.

Had a bad experience at this terminal with Air Asia staff. Not only these service were people uncourteous but least consider about family. The service lady was sort of sick physc. She is a black mole on beautiful face of Malaysia. I missed my flight, but that lady of Air Asia neither accomodated in ANY next flight nor refunded. Although she knew I was travelling with three very young age kids. She made me waited for more than half hours at the counter without any response. Then she and her collegue cunningly miscotted and refused that in next day flight no seats were available. But when I checked there seats online, were available. They were more like looters.
AIR ASIA! YOU OWN ME COMPENSATION FOR ALL THE EMBARASSMENT AND LOSS IF YOU BELEIVE IN PROFESSIONAL ETHICS AND FAIR BUSINESS.
I CHALLENGE AIR ASIA TO TAKE COURAGE TO DIG INTO THIS MATTER SERIOUSLY TO GET RID OF SUCH MOLES EATING THEIR REPUTATION SILENTLY AT SERVICE COUNTERS.

Great food choices here. Lots of restaurants, cafes and fast food to chose from.
Easy access to KL city via airport buses at basement2, KLIA Ekspres or taxis.
There's a supermarket, Jaya Grocer at level 2 which is rather well stocked. And there is a cafe inside the supermarket with reasonably priced food too.
Beside the supermarket is the airport luggage storage.

Good and easy access to central bus, train or taxi airport transfer. Just make sure to check out the ticket counter on your way out of the last custom check.
There are private driver also which normally sneak around and quietly ask you if you need a ride.
