Service crew was bordering rude, probably because there were so many customers but serve time was almost instant. Place was airconditioned and price was okay for the food quality offered. "

The price of whole meal for four dishes including rice and drinks were rm110, excluding sate.

经经营了六十年的麻坡老字号，海南古早味。完全用手工趁热一粒粒地搓捏出来的鸡饭团饱含鸡肉香味既不油腻又带点咸香，再加上饭团结实、饭粒鬆软，可说是至尊级的饭团。
《日发鸡饭》的海南白切鸡肉大部分的时候的确非常的好吃。一口咬下去，热腾腾的鸡肉，除了阵阵诱人的鸡肉香味之外，鸡肉的口感更是一级棒！鲜、嫩、滑、湿润和有“嚼劲”。不像很多鸡饭店里售卖的鸡肉那般的软趴趴、烂绵绵。传统海南鸡饭就是这个味道。
店里不足的却是那用来蘸鸡肉的辣椒酱。可以说是差劲的很！甚至不能将它称为辣椒酱，只可以称之为辣椒水，因为这辣椒酱是水汪汪的！而且还是不辣不咸不香的辣椒酱。享受美食的时候，虽然我是喜欢品尝食物的原汁原味，不喜欢加上额外或多余的酱料或酱汁。可是，我个人认为好吃的海南鸡饭一定要搭配美味正宗由蒜头、老姜及辣椒制成的的辣椒酱才算是及格的鸡饭！最好的海南鸡饭的辣椒酱还得浇上炸好的鸡油呢！因为这独树一格的辣椒酱往往会把用鸡汤煮成的鸡饭和白切鸡肉的鲜味一一提出来。 "

During the second visit, I brought my grandpa, he enjoyed it here and the staff helped him from his wheelchair (as it was not wheelchair accessible). Can get quite crowded too. " SHAVED ICE AKA CHINESE ICE CREAM. I DONT KMOW WHY IM TYPING IN CAPS. SESAME ALMOND IS MY FAVOURITE FLAVOUR. I find some of the fruit flavours artificial, but they're still awesome on a sunny day. The nut pastes are quite yummy too. They have almond, sesame, and walnut. And I think peanut too. You can ask for combinations of them! Also the coconut covered mango, also seemingly nondescript, is a steady winner. It's a nice light snack if you want something small. "

" This has always been one of my favourite "kopitiams" because of it's friendly service. One of the remaining few "kopitiams" in Muar which brew coffee using the old fashioned stove. Try out their "roti bakar" or also their steamed bread layered with margarine/kaya and simply dip it in their hot "kopi" or better still "kopi O". What about some half boiled eggs to go? Go ahead and give it a try. "

" A really great place to relax and unwind after a long day. It's pretty spacious inside, could probably hold 100-200 ppl. The snow ice cream is good, it shows a different texture from shaved ice cream, giving it a mixed taste between the ice and the flavour. Pricing is reasonable, seeing how it's also located near a tourist attraction site. "

" We visited today for morning dim sum breakfast. Very bad food taste and poor quality. Dim sum skin was mostly thick and hard. Filling was hard and dry too. Really cannot compare even a single strand of hair to the standard of Oriental Pavilion in Kuala Lumpur. Service was non-existence either with super long wait for everything. They mostly focus on some regulars only. The most, this is a kopitiam with a service charge. Even some kopitiam was much better. Wasted my time and stomach to even visit them. It will be my last visit. Useless. "

" We ordered Yam Paste and Milk-Tea Shave Ice. The Yam Paste was smooth and tasty; though not as flavorful as those we've had in other high-class restaurants. Still, it tasted good.
15 December 2016The ice in the Milk-Tea shave ice had a smooth texture; probably because it's finely shaved, definitely more fine than the shaved ice you might get at hawker center. The milk-tea flavor wasn't evenly distributed throughout: stronger in some parts of the ice than others.
We also tried their Mango wrap, which was basically slices of mango wrapped in some dessert skin. It was nice but not something to die for.
We definitely like the variety of desserts available here, and felt that the price was reasonable enough that we might visit again. "

" Had mango pomelo sago for $5. Half of the sago was CRUNCHY. I had never had crunchy sago in my life. Also it was diluted. We told it to the waitress who did admitted that sago should be soft but we had to prompt her a second time to communicate this to the kitchen. And she did not offer to replace the bowl or do anything about it. Plenty of other places with cheaper and better mango sago out there. "

The only good thing is the location - not.many places sell.cold desserts around Chinatown. Just take the MRT and go to any air-conditioned food courts located in every malls in Singapore and you'll get better service, cheaper desserts and a cleaner environment. "

What separates this place from the rest is that they offer a much more premium experience offering many flavours of shaved ice (lychee, mango, durian, watermelon, grape, strawberry, chocolate - the list goes on) with a wide choice of desserts on the menu (e.g. mango and lychee with popping balls).
