Small museum of struggle. There are about 10 dioramas that tell battle of Yogyakarta's people again Colonialism and how Indonesian government use diplomatic to keep Independence. We can enjoy the documenter film about it and see many things weapons that they used.

Keren tempatnya! Dilantai 1 ada beberapa ruangan nampilin perjuangan bangsa Indonesia pada masa lalu. Di lantai 1 juga ada pemutaran video tentang pejuang kemerdekaan juga. Banyak patung tokoh-tokoh perjuangan. Gedung yang berbentuk kerucut menjadi kekhasan dan keunikan museum ini. Harga tiket masuk sekitar 10.000 untuk orang dewasa. Banyak tempat jajan untuk istirahat. Disisi museum terdapat kolam ikan. Lalu dilantai 2 merupakan ruang diorama dan ruang sunyi/senyap gtu. Diruang diorama cukup seram karna pencahayaannya kurang, kalau di ruang sunyi menurutku yang keren. Suara disana menggema. Jadi langkah kaki baru masuk saja sudah menggema dengan indah. Cahaya diruangan itu cukup, sehingga membuat syahdu ruang tersebut. Ruang ini fungsinya untuk mendoakan para pahlawan yang gugur di medan perang. Sungguh mengesankan, karna jarang sekali ada museum dengan ruangan seperti itu yang pernah saya datangi. Untuk sisi luar, dikelilingi taman lampion yang beroperasi saat malam hari. Cukup bagus untuk yang mau wisata dimalam hari. Nah selain itu disekeliling museum dilantai 2, terdapat dinding pagar yang saat ini sedang dikerjakan pembuatan ukiran mengenai zaman perjuangan. Datang ke museum jogja kembali worth it banget pokoknya!

It was fun. The pool was catching my eyes more. I wasted my bread to feed the fishes down there, i wasn't sure if it was legal though. but I'm still wondering, is there any monster fish swimming around like the local said? Lol.

The reason I only gave three star is how the place is not really maintained well. It's so sad to see the seats in the audio visual room were old and damp. Some parts of the cone were also dusty and not taken care of well. The museum has also been underappreciated by visitors who tend to choose the night Rainbow Park which takes place in the same area. But if you are into history, especially the history about the time Jogjakarta was taken back from the colonizers, you can get pretty interesting information here. You should be aware though that the history depicted in this museum is the one believed and told in the perspective of the former president Soeharto reign. From the perspective of visual, the place is a pretty good place to take some good photos, especially with the iconic cone.

Visited here when holiday season (Christmas & new year's eve). Really2 crowded and difficult to find parking lot/space. Glad some parking guys are help us.
This place is beautiful when night, with the many spots and the colourful lights. The kids were enjoy and there were a lot of food places.

One of the best tourist spot in town. A whole complete playground for children. You should come. Its a must.

It's a cool place. Well, I have to say that some of the facilities there are broken, but inside the monument it's pretty amazing. You can see dioramas and mini-museums there, with lots of guns, cannons, and traditional weapons on display. Outside, there are some boats that you can use to go around the canal that surrounds the main building.

It is a good museum, abaout Agresi Militer Belanda (Holand) and how yogyakarta take it back from Belanda and coalition troops

An elegant place to memorize Indonesia history with its outstanding cone-shape building and diorama room inside. Better to visit in the morning or afternoon.

A monument to commemorate the return of Yogyakarta to Yogyakarta's people during the Dutch military aggression in the late 48s
This place offer various diorama which tell story the fight during the aggression.
Each diorama has an audio lesson telling the story behind the diorama.
Also some item left behind or used during the war are preserved here.

Suggest come here in the afternoon, and enjoy the Lantern surrounding the monument at night.

Tidak terurus dengan baik.. Tidak seperti di foto kalau hujan banyak genangaan air... 20ribu rasanya terlalu mahal utk penataan yg tidak berkelas...

The Museum is clean and well-maintained. You can learn a lot of Yogyakarta history during the early phase after Indonesia independence day. In the area outside the monumen, you can find some shops, and you can also feed the fish in the pond (fish snacks provided for really cheap price).

Good display of lantern around the monument, you can also feed the fish in the pond surrounding it. Don't come here with (too) empty stomach because only light food stall available.
You can walk around the monument or rent bicycle with a lot of LED light. There is also amusement park in front of the monument

I recommend visiting here at night when all the lanterns are lit. Great place to take photos or selfies. There is also a small amusement park and restaurants available.

Monumen Jogja Kembali is a place to find historical story of Indonesia independence. It has night attraction, called taman lampion. This attraction is suitable for any age. This place can be easily reached by any mode of transport.
