No beaches, but muddy area which is crowded with agressive monkeys. Also forget about swimming here, since there is too much garbage in the water. You have to take the boat (no afternoon trips offered, so first day is wasted) for over RM 200 per person for snorkeling or diving, since coral here is dead. No wonder, since soapy shower waste water from the chalet is dumped directly into the ocean. So bad for the environment. The only good thing is the restaurant nearby.

Nice staff, infrastructure and diving equipment are in good condition, dorm rooms are clean compared to other hostels. Will need to call taxi/shuttle when going to town.

...Personal sehr freundlich und geht auf individuelle Wünsche ein, Unterkunft sauber,auch wenn etwas ruhiger u abseits von Stadt gelegen (in Semporna schien es derzeit kein Bus/Taxi zu geben,das sollte man bei Anreiseplanung berücksichtigen, vor Ort im Resort mit Voranmeldung kostenpflichtiger Shuttle vorhanden), tolle Tauchreviere...absolut sehenswert...die Inseln die angefahren werden ein Traum....ca.100m weiter vom Resort etwas versteckt ist ein Marinestützpunkt....habe mich somit auch sehr sicher gefühlt trotz der Presseberichte. Gerne irgendwann wieder;-)
