U should go for the sunrise. Be careful it could be cold because it is windy on top but view is awesome.

Very nice and quiet place. But it becomes too easy to go there. It won't stay quiet and clean for a long time...

Absolutely worth a visit. Go up for sunrise, it's amazing. The drive from Moni takes about 20 mins unless you're letting a local drive you up. Plan more time if it's raining! Walking from the parking area is another 30 min stroll up the stairs in flip flops.
The only small annoyance for foreigners is the price difference of 150k to 5k for Indonesians. I did however feel that the ticket is well worth it, as the place is well maintained with little information tablets along the path and shelters in case of an eruption.
Hopefully this place will stay like this and not deteriorate like so many other sights. Already ignorant visitors started to spray their names on the rocks around the summit, walk off the indicated paths and throw trash right next to the bins on the ground.

Very nice place. The craters are amazing and the colors do look very special. Tho 2 of the craters had the same color the time I visited. I wasn't very disappointed as it's still amazing to see but the expectations were set a little bit too high.

Pretty cool. The only downside is the price, which is way too high. It is best to go in the morning during sunrise. Yes, there are more people then but there's still more than enough space for everyone to take a picture and look at the lakes.

Its hard to say if the ride on a bike from Ende to here is was more impressive, or these volcanoes. First of all, i just saw 1 of the three. Its seems typical, cause there is a lot of fog. And the other reason, i hoped i knew up front: its really cold up there! Just a T-shirt wont do the trick, so take a jacket with you.
The nature around this place is just amAzing! So give it a try, maybe u are lucky and beat the clouds that usually block a hell of a view!

Can be busy during sunset as every single tourist on Flores goes to Kelimutu, but it's a stunning view. Just rent a bike and drive up there yourself at night starting from Moni, grab a coffee at the parking and walk up, it's easy. August 2016 all the lakes were pretty similar in colour, which is unfortunate but it was still an amazing visit. The entrance fee of 150.000 is way to high for what it is though. On the way back you can enjoy the view of the rice terraces at Kolorongo.
