I am one of jeanette's friend. She'd already wrote about our horrible experience with this lodge in good details. It was bad, really bad, guys. Try to book another place with a nice owner. Have fun!

I paid IDR 300K for one-night stay here. It was the average price there, but the facility was not as what you would expect. My toilet's door was broken and cannot be closed. Breakfast was just bread with weird strawberry jam and coffee. If you just want a place to sleep before early morning trip to Kelimutu, then it should be alright.

Keep attention to overbooking. We booked and payed 2 rooms and found just one. This room was very, very basic and toilet was also very dirty. One star is too much.

Last week, me and my 2 other friends booked a room in Daniel Lodge. We booked the room for a night in the next 2 days. When we asked about the payment, the person (a man) we called say that we could pay after we checked out.
At THE day, we went to Ende. In our way to Ende, we called Daniel Lodge just to informed that we were on our way to Moni and we were about to arrived therw. The man we called just answer "yes.. yes.." like everything was okay.
When we arrived at Daniel Lodge (it was about 6.30 pm), we were confused that there were no one there. We tried to call the man but his cellphone was off. Suddenly a woman appeared and said that she was the owner (the wife of the man we called before i think). She told us that the room has booked by other person who had paid from Agoda. Me and my 2 other friends were so worried because all of us are girls and it was evening already. Luckily there was a man who offer us a help to look if there was other homestay for us to sleep cause most of the homestays there are full of visitors. At the end we got a room at Jhon Homestay. At least we got a place to sleep for a night.
OK so it was our fault that we didn't have the initiative to pay earlier, BUT..
1st. They could tell us that we can actually pay the room before instead of paying after we left the room (checked out).
2nd. If they know that the other person has paid for the room, then they should tell us so that we could look for other homestays. Like, we book for since 2 days ago! Could you just call and tell us? Even we still called them an hour before we get there, if only the man tell us, we might be able to look for other places at that time. Instead, he just answer like "yes.. yes..". I was so upset at that time. So unprofessional! :(

Room, bedsheets and towels are somewhat clean.
Breakfast is rather small and simple (pancake and bananas). No Fan but hot water. From what we can tell he didn't change us any commissions.
