It's not easy to find a parking lot.
So many uncompetent people exist in the terminal and the parking area.
The arrangement and management in the terminal can be improved to be better .

The new terminal (terminal 2) is located on the south of the runways whereas the old one (terminal 1) is located on the north, it takes 10 minutes bus shuttle between those two terminals, so if you plan to change the flight please plan accordingly so you wont miss your flight. The shuttle itself is free but you probably have to wait around 15-30 minutes.
Terminal 2 building has brand new design and used mainly for international flights and Garuda Indonesia, while terminal 1 served domestic flights. Terminal 1, thought aging, is well maintained and there are several upgrades currenly undergoing, and it expected to match Terminal 2 in term of facilities and public services.

Compare than years ago. Cleaner, more modern look & better layout. The overall service inside the airport is also getting much better.
when it comes the holiday season, it will a common sight to see people sit on the floor due to insufficient waiting chair.
er reschedule your flight. Taxi is the most convenient transportation to go, still there is an option to go to city by Bus.

Good maintenance. Nice airport. Two terminals located in separate places. You have to be clear which terminal your boarding. It is very difficult in last minute rush. So please plan accordingly.

terminal 2 Juanda bagus. modern. fasilitas cukup lengkap.. pantas lah memang jadi bandara skala internasional

Average airport. Not much in terms of amenities. Normal cafes and restaurants. Lounge at Terminal 2 was below expectations. No alcohol served. Staff was helpful though. Toilets quite clean.

Please be aware that this airport doesn't follow international guide lines for security checks for carry on luggage. They have their own policy in Indonesian language only, so you might not be able to leave the country with the same luggage you came with

Terminal 2 - nice modern flight terminal, mostly international flights but also domestic travel by Air Asia (Gate 1) and Garuda Indonesia (upstairs Gate 2-6).
Fast check in, possibility to meet with family or friends until boarding time at different restaurants and coffee shops.
Fast luggage check by polite officers. Cool waiting rooms with some last minute shopping options.

Double thumbs up for the environment. Evertyhing is perfectly clean. But for wheelchair access is letting me down. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HAVE ANY RELATIVE WHO MUST USE WHEELCHAIR, they always close the wheelchair parking access and take away the disable person right for the ARMY no matter you are depart from Juanda or just arrive.

Bandara yang luar biasa sibuknya. Crowded. Sampai banyak penumpang yang lesehan di depan pintu keberangkatan. Karena ketersediaan kursi di space itu sedikit sekali. Padahal masih banyak space kosong. Good service. Ruang tunggu nyaman. Tempat makan & oleh oleh sangat variatif. Tidak perlu telpon/order angkutan saat pesan jemputan dari bandara. Karena sudah ada fasilitas taksi bandara dan bus damri yang siap melayani Anda.

Terminal 2 ada outlet keris dan gastro dome food court. Terminal 2 digunakan untuk penerbangan maskapai Garuda Indonesia, dan beberapa maskapai lainnya. Terminal 2 merupakan terminal yang lebih baru dan modern dibandingkan Terminal 1

This airport may look "luxurious" due to its size, but it's actually inadequate compared to other international airports in the world.
Pros:
- Fast wide-ranging free WI-FI. It doesn't require password, even if you move places.
- Many good cafes/restaurants like Starbucks and Carl's Jr.
- Kind employees.
Cons:
- Dirty and smelly bathrooms. Like, seriously disgusting.
- They should add chairs in the hallway for people to sit. There's literally none.
- Creepy taxi drivers who force you to ride with them.
Do I recommend it to anyone?
Well yeah, lol, what other choice do you have?

Good interior design. Reducing electricity needed for air conditioning. Lots of gates also significantly reduce the number of piling up passengers in certain areas.
Of course there's a room for improvement. Speakers are not so clear and should be improved so any flight information could be heard from any location inside terminal.

Good building on terminal 2, but still poor on management and of course the locals habit 8 person pick up 1 passenger 😂 and no train or busses available yet. Taxi stall are so un managed well here. Chaos

My 3 star rating is for Terminal 1 (the old terminal) that I think it's high time to be renovated/upgraded..it still serves the purpose as an airport but if Medan can have Kualanamu, why not Surabaya as the 2nd biggest city in Indonesia?

A very busy Airport, but it has all the necessaries and standards to be considered an International Airport. For once, it has destinations leading to other countries without having to go through the capital city as a hub. The addition of a new terminal here is really helpful, separating the international and domestic departures. Just be careful of the porters who expect money as a tip. Overall, nice shops and its size is indeed respectable in Indonesia. Toilet could be cleaner, though.

Serves the functionality. A metropole like Surabaya deserves more. Waiting areas can be severely overcrowded. Value for money for restaurants could be better. Airport lounges need to be tidy at all times. The arrival space should be kept clean of taxi mafiosi. A good system is the taxi ticketing service at the arrival lobby, although it is confusing for newcomers to see six ladies of six taxi companies shouting for the same services. Shop around.. Price differences are significant.

the airport is getting an extension roof. And the work is fully in progress. And: of course no information to the passengers where they have to go - and no information where the drop-off-zone is. A lot of things can be managed much more better!

Juanda pertama kali untuk transfer pesawat dari lombok ke yogyakarta.
1. Keluar dari pesawat masuk ke lorong dan mengambil bagasi untuk pindah maskapai. Mengambil bagasi di conveyor itu disatukan antara kedatangan Solo, Lombok dan jakarta. Antrian membludak dan entah mreka ambil barang siapa.
2. Jika saya berniat mencuri atau mengambil barang orang lain itu sangat mudah di Juanda. Tidak ada pengecekan antara tiket dan nomor bagasi. Pintu keluar normal dan pentu keluar di dekat tiket counter. Mungkin saja teroris bisa masuk kali ya?
3. Ruang tunggu penumpang di buat persekat - sekat. Kenapa tidak dibuat bebas aja, tanpa perlu cek x-ray dan scan tiket setiap mau masuk gate. Cukup xray ditaruh sebelum lounge dan daerah ruang tunggu.
4. Delay, karna hal tersebut saya pun keluar menikmati live musik di luar ruang gate. Karna sekat tersebut pengumuman dari speaker tidak sampai di lorong, hanya di sekitar ruang tunggu saja.
5. Ruang tunggu kecil, ketika pesawat Jogja dan Jakarta boarding antrian kayak pembagian sembako.
Aku enjoy dengan live musicnya, lagu-lagu daerah indonesia. Terimakasih.

Pretty neat, but the toilet located so far away. And they need to put decent caffee or at least fastfood chain there. And also the citilink self check in doesnt print boarding pass :/

One of the larger airport.
An international airport.
Soo many growth since 1 years ago.
It had two separate terminal. And there are definitely separate.
And luckily you never find one single sign for the plane(usually we can fine that sign in soekarno hatta airport before we got in terminal 1)

Actually, I have getting trouble when I enter to the inside. Airport guys do X-Ray before I entered. And when my bag inside the X-Ray mechine, they look something strange in my bag. They tell me that I bring something made from iron. Then, they open my bag and searching for the item that they mean for twice. Actually, there is was nothing in my bag except my iPhone 6s that made from Iron. Hmm.. my Iphone 6s was detected as a dangerous and strange item. 😌

Whoever run this airport need to be fired immediately. Worst airport.
Long queue on custom. Next is overcrowded luggage area. After collecting your luggage, you have to line for baggage x ray. Only 2 x-ray machine is available.
Get out and you will be greeted by annoying taxi. The only taxi available are overpriced taxi companies which definitely share handsome profit with the airport person in charge.
Going to Surabaya International Airport is a nightmare.

The airport is getting better, but I think Surabaya deserved much bigger airport, and also better transportation to access its airport. Yes, there's taxi, a good one. But for the bus, well, at least you can reach the airport 😂😂

This is a great, new, clean and modern airport in Surabaya It has fast food restaurants and shops, overall a good experience.
It's well run in my opinion, the staff at the airport (be it the security, check in folks, waiters etc.) are generally very friendly and eager to assist with a smile.
Most importantly the toilets are clean. Good thumbs up.

What I really like from this airport is its waiting room.
This airport may not have comfortable seats in the waiting rooms, a fancy interior design, or even nice toilets, but I can say that I really like its waiting room. It is so spacey and silent, I could enjoy my reading sessions here while waiting for my flight. Even though there were many people walking around, it didn't feel that their existence would bother me.
Moreover, there are also some restaurants, bakeries, and cafes inside this waiting room. Although the foods were a bit pricey, I really enjoyed eating here while watching people passing by.
In contrast, the outer side of the airport felt messier and more noisy than the inside. The noise came from cars passing through and people who talked loudly. In addition, many people sat on the floor because there were no enough seats available and there were also many people littering on the floor which cause the airport to look dirty.

T1:
Traditional design and spacious curb for most activities (even waiting for the flight because the seat is limited inside). You guys need a special force for smoking people who smoked outside the designated room--kids are everywhere you know. You're going to play chase with the plastic man once you enter the check-in area and, again, taxi guys once you get out from the baggage claim. And that time i got late night flight and the toilet was horrid.

Neat, simple (sleek?) design, clean (to the toilet, yes). Carls and Hokben 👍. Is it just me or BK is only accessible from international route? :( and it wouldn't hurt if you talk not in angry voice, guys (i know some people just can't accept nice talk with smile and it's way effective when you yell but c'mon)

This airport is comfortable, not as crowded as Jakarta's airport Soekarno-Hatta (Cengkareng). The toilets are clean and better than Soekarno-Hatta. The Taxi queue is sometimes annoying.
