This museum is the ruins of the homes of the inhabitants as a result of the eruption of Mount Merapi in 2010. Inside there is a lot of furniture, cooking utensils, gas cylinders, audio cassettes, household appliances that melt due to eruption. You can also find the bones of farm animals arranged according to his anatomy. You can visit this place for free when you join the jeep tour.

If you are doing a jeep tour. This should be your first stop. This place show you how noxious and harmful a lava could be. You could see the remains and the debris of a home that has been affected by the mount merapi's 2010 eruption. It is not a big museum but you can learn about some things in this place.

Part of our jeep tour around Mt. Merapi included a stop at this museum. May not be very accessible unless you are riding in an appropriate vehicle. Much of the surrounding roads are rubble.
A haunting expression of the destruction following the 2010 eruption. 2000 people died. When you get here, you can immediately feel the effects that the volcano had on this village.
The museum is free to visit. Many artifacts are left out in the open, and touchable.
Photos cover the walls of the rooms that express the volcanic eruption following the disaster relief.
There are 2 skeletons of cows outside. And a rendering of what the home used to look like.
One room carries a bunch of ash, just out there in the open.
You’ll find a clock that stopped working when the volcano blew. Tons of broken and melted items to see and stop your breath at.
Definitely worth the visit. You can tell that the village does not have much money to keep all these items behind glass. Some precious items like books and teapots are kept in glass cases, but most of the items are subject to weathering.

A great place to throw back memories 7 years ago for indonesian people as you can see merapi eruption leftover in a house which located 7 km away from the merapi peak, burnt cooking utensils, tv, computer etc

Provide evidences of historical event from the eruption of Mt. Merapi. You can get a lot of moral value here. Great place to see the greatness of nature. But the access to the place is not easy since the alspalt of the road is highly damaged

Bukti ganas nya erupsi merapi 2010.
