Mount Rinjani is amazing! The guides are friendly and helpful. However, I would not recommend the hike for beginners because getting to the summit is challenging due to the unstable sandy path.

Rinjani Park is nature in its best. Be ready for some epic effort as the climb to the top is not for the faint hearted! We did the 4 days 3 nights option with trekking down the to the lake and up to the caldera on the other side after scaling the Rinjani peak. Would have been more enjoyable to do an express trek to the top and back which is doable in 2 days and 1 night! Then chill in Lombok or the Gillis:)

We climb the summit as part of Rinjani 100 trail running race, so it was quite challenging as we didn't got the chance to camp in either sites. But boy my heart was pounding when I reach the rim just before the sunrise. It was so magnificent! The summit segment, however, was very hard and very challenging, but it worth it! A must if you're mountain lover and visit Indonesia.

Gunung yang menyajikan pemandangan alam luar biasa. Hanya sebagai gambaran perjalanan dari pos pendaftaran hingga pos 3 waktunya sama seperti pos 3 ke plawangan (via sembalun). Untuk ke puncak diwajibkan kondisi badan fit.

Beautiful area. Day 2 of the 3 day hike is steep but well worth the effort to reach the peak of rinjani. Bring gloves and warm clothes it's cold at the top. Hot springs are nice (though small and often crowded), lake is cold but you can go fishing or swimmib if you dare.

Rinjani mountain is one of the best experiences that you can have in Indonesia. There's active small volcano in crater of old volcano. The views from the peak are spectacular especially if you go there for sunrise. Be prepared that this trekking is quite long and you need to be prepared for that. But it's definitely possible to hike on two days spending one night on campsite. There's stream with drinkable water nearby campsite so if you plan to hike without a porters you don't have to take all water with you.
And yes, it's possible to hike without a guide. Don't be chated by people that tells you can't do it without guide.

The land that time forgot.
Fantastic views. Amazing hot springs in waterfall area. Would have been 5 stars apart from the trash that is left by non aware people.

Definitely a very beautiful national park with a great variety of climate and vegetation. From large meadows over rough areas of volcanic pebbles to dense jungle. One major downside though, is the fact that the popular hiking trails are almost covered in litter. That is such a shame. I will encourage anybody going to Rinjani National Park to show responsibility and not leave any litter at the mountain whatsoever.

A very tough bike if you plan to do it 2D1N, but enjoyable and the views are fantastic

I went here for 3days 2nights. It's really hard. You'll be very painful on your legs after trekking. But, the pain is just the moment. You'll keep majestic views and moments forever in your heart. Just go !!
