Our server Sandy was awesome! He along with the entire staff were so friendly and helpful. We are from Canada and are new to Indonesian cuisine. Sandy’s recommendations were delicious!

Traditional Indonesian food, served promptly and with a smile. Awesome reggae playing in the background had me swaying back and forth throughout my meal. I ordered the chicken Balado which was absolutely delicious, as was the Jamu drink. Cheaper prices than most on the island with a well balanced menu. They provide bug spray on each table should you need it. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Everyone who lives in Gili Air recommend this warung and I of course went on my first day there. Food was nice with wide selections. Owner Sunny was like his name, sunny and smiley to everyone. They offer cooking class which seem a lot cheaper than the one near the harbour. Unfortunately I didn’t make it but this would be my go to place if I am back. Ask for local spicy if you love spicy food. Otherwise it’s western adjusted I think.

Went for lunch here a few days ago. We ordered a vegetarian burrito to share and we wish we had ordered one each, the food was so good! The lime juice could do with a bit more lime to be honest..
As for the cooking classes that they offer: I didn’t participate in one, but saw the people who were. It looked like they were having a good time, they didn’t however get to touch the stove..

Was referred to come here for a meal and also do the cooking class. After dinner, there was no doubt that we'd come back for the class! Both of our meals were scrumptious, and the class was so much fun! Hero has so much energy and passion for what we does. We learned, laughed, and then chowed down on the food we made. Everything was well worth the price!!
