50k entrance fee, 40-50k protien shakes with peanut butter, banana, and powder. Lucky to have a gym on such a small island. Plate weights are a little inconsistent and the treadmills are out of order. Bench press, squat rack, dumbells up to 25kg present as well as a few other machines.

Awesome staff, good breakfast and clean place. Except for the tiny hutt in the back. That was awful. So we upgrated and did not regret. Pool gym bar close to everything and quiet

A gym with the basics. No frills, but enough to give you a decent workout. Fairly quiet at most times. The bar in the adjoining resort serves protein and creatine.

No A/C and very dirty, got most of the thing you're looking for, but not worth 50k for a day pass.

Beds were comfy, pool and terrace looked very nice, I went to the gym there every day of my 3 nights stay, free breakfast was good too!
When I was there they built some things new but that didn't bother me in any way.
I lost my necklace there and the staff was very helpful to me and sent it to a hostel for me to pick it up.
I will return there when I go back to Gili T and can recommend this place!

As for sept2017 the place is quiet due to low season. I'm having a 3 beds room with fan and it's pretty nice with your own big storage space, eccentric owner and very friendly staff, free breakfast which is a different dish everyday (from nasi goreng to banana pancakes and other things), free gym and a not too clean swimming pool close to a bar where the happy hour deal is a must, they've got a rooftop terrace which is good for sunsets and bikes available for rent. Sometimes i feel at home, some other like a bag full of money but it's ok. It's a place to be And meet new people.

If you need a gym on holiday then this is your place. Has what is needed to get a session out.
Vincent Ausma (21/09/2017 08:35)
Only used the gym, material is outdated price is 50.000 for single use, with a free towel.
Not really a good gym but the only one I could find on gili t.

The Fitness Studio is inklusive. Breakfast too, though, it is very small - you can upgrade your Breakfast what isn't that cheap. The Bungalos are small but air conditioned and big enough as long you don't plan to spend your whole visit to Gili T inside. It's possible to rent a bike too, though, riding it is very uncomfortable if you aren't used to horrible streets.

Well, first of all the place was a work in progress so there was a lot of mess. During the day, lots a men worked so that makes a lot of noise... During the night you'll be wake up by the prayer call of the mosque just next to the place. And lastly, we had an electricity failure from 4pm to 10, so no light in the rooms and ofc no AC. The "included breakfast" is only an imposed dish, which is not so good. For instance, we had nasi goreng on saturday morning. Finally, the room in itself is very small and quite dirty. Not a place I would recommend.

The location of GiliFit was not that bad, but it was very poor accomodation. We expected it would not be great but did not expect bedbugs. I do not recommend.

been there first time in march 2015, it was ok. returned in may 2017 and it was horrible. totally wasted weights room, dead flies and bugs everywhere, grips were sticky af. restrooms smelled like they haven't been cleaned for a long time. planned to go there a couple of times during my stay on gili, never returned tho. sorry gilifit, do your homework!

Good prices, and good rooms with air-conditioning. Tasty breakfast included. It is basically still being built though, so it's neither pretty nor quiet (during the day) perfect for backpackers at the moment. I think it'll be lovely when finished.

The gym has a cardio room and weights room divided by a locker area and mens and womens bathroom and showers.
While the locker area and toilets are well maintained the cardio room is very small. It has maybe three or four treadmills and a bike or two. I am training for a marathon and thought I might get a lot of use out of the treadmills however they are quite old looking and unsteady with heavy footfalls and even though I am only 6ft tall, they wouldn't cover the distance of my stride without my foot coming off the end.
The weights room is honestly awful. I don't know how old the photos are on their website or google review but their actual equipment isn't even the same colour as in the pictures. Maybe they have a filter on them? Maybe they'e just really old? As someone has said all the weights plates are rusted which isn't great but not the end of the world. But there is a really small range dumbbells and the ones they have are only very light. A lot of "heavier" ones have weights that are loose and wobbly on the bar and cant be adjusted or tightened. Also at least a couple of the bars seem to have broken in the middle and are held together by duct tape. The covers on all benches have split and peeled off. The chin up station only has a right hand bar to pull yourself up on. The carpet is torn in multiple places and is a tripping hazard. Theres old glue on the walls where they've obviously taken mirrors off for whatever reason and not replaced them and the mirrors that are left you can hardly see yourself in in a lot of places. Limited range of very 80's looking, very old exercise equipment/weights machines.
On the plus side really friendly and helpful local staff. Also there doesn't seem to be anywhere else to workout on the island so worth visiting if you want to keep your weight training up on holidays. Also 300,000 for 10 visits is good value.
Overall it really depends how nice of a place you need to work out in. Personally my main problem is the very deceptive photography of the place and the poor quality equipment. In reality looks nothing like the pictures online. Enough weights for a basic workout though.
The immediate area seems to be where a lot of locals live and doesn't stand out as different from their houses so can be a little hard to find. Easier to find with google maps than the quite nondescript signage

Place is gross. Eaten by bugs and the staff both day and night shift "have no change" lied about how much money i gave them then interrupted me saying blah blah blah took yelling to get my 200,000 back when they owed me 245000. Do not recommend

We went one week in the gym as it's the only possibility to stay in shape on Gili. The gym is a little bit rusty and old fashioned but somehow authentic and you have everything you need.
Shakes are awesome!
The prices are really good, I can recommend!

Basic.
Far from the main road to go alone at night. Breakfast is very cheezy. Bathrooms and bedrooms could be cleaner.

Somewhere between a gym and a hostel and doesn't do a great job of either. I'd recommend staying elsewhere but if you do need to lift some weights then it's your only choice!

Interesting place to stay. I slept in a hut which was in the open air. Nice experience and if you want you can also go to the gym there for free. The place is a raw diamond as they are still expanding and it looks like they are building a pool as well!

Shakes shakes shakes!
The staff / boys upstairs are so welcoming. Playing cards of humanity with our clean eating breakfasts were the best. We stayed nearby and went here every day for breakfast.
On days we worked out, protein shakes and chats with the staff made up for pretty standard equipment. Some ventilation in the gym rooms would be good but we just ducked outside for air every 10mins to cope lol. Good on you Gili fit team for all the work you do in the community and helping locals stay fit.
We recommend Gili Fit to anyone we hear is visiting the island.

Not the best gym, the cardio room had only one treadmill and one bike working and the pedal fell off the bike half way through! No air con or music and the place generally felt like it hadn't been cleaned in a while.

review is for the gym portion only.
when in the weightlifting room, all i could smell was rust, mold and mildew. those smells were so overpowering that i couldn't even smell the b.o. my husband smelled. at the end of our workout, i had to wash my hands twice to get all of the rust off. if you are fine not adjusting the bar weights, you may not have this issue.
no a/c unless a certain number in the room; likely to save electricity, but may also be contributing to rust, mold, mildew. i understand that maintaining a gym in a tropical climate can be extremely tough, but just wanted to share current condition of gym so potential gym-goers know what to expect. haven't tried out the gym on gili air yet, but may be better.
big plus is that they do provide water refills in the weight and cardio rooms.

Brand new building with excellent equipment for gym/cardio. Classes from H.E.A.T. to Muay Thai, health bar, game room (movies/play station), restaurant and even accommodation! Outdoor area with monkey bars... and an amazing rooftop arena where you can play futsal, basketball etc. even at night times under floodlights and the stars!
