Best experience as a first time diver! The staff, equipment and lessons were outstanding! I highly recommend this place compared to the other diving schools because they are like a “one stop shop.”
The owners and staff: all helpful and kind! They treat you as part of the family and ensure your stay is seamless. They even lend me their port for a job interview!
The diving: My boyfriend and I took the PADI open water courses and it was definitely worth it! They offer and exploration course so you can learn how to dive and fly underwater :)
The instructor: we had yuda - a sweet and calm guy who is very knowledgeable. I had trouble participating in the lessons underwater because I was very scared, but yuda is very patient and gives you the time you need to learn each lesson.
In the end, we saw 2 reef sharks and 4 turtles! Remarkable for two new divers like us!

Completed my open water course at this shop with Joke- an incredible experience. This shop has a smaller feel than some of the larger operations on the island so I felt well taken care of and my instruction was very personal. Even with an ear infection, they worked with me to finish my course until I was feeling better. Also, helped us with our Visas. It’s a one stop shop! Got to ADA for all of your diving needs on Gili Air.

So nice and professional crew. They really go out of their way to make the dive a great experience. Sunni was very positive and helpful dive master. Can't recommend enough. Thank you for the experience guys!

Top notch all-around dive outfit and spectacular dives. Incredible for night dives. Was amazed by the tiny critters (nudibranches, tiny shrimps, etc.) their dive masters (Sonny in particular) consistently found in addition to giant (6 ft long) green turtles, lots of clownfish families (in anemones) and feeding sea cucumbers (could see their black daisy feet.) For night dives, ADA goes where there's no current so can go out any night there's interest. Only dive shop on Gili Air that takes divers w/o Advanced Certification on night dives w/o requiring a more expensive training dive (doing so is an approved PADI policy). Also the only shop offering UV lights -- if you haven't done UV on a night dive, you must. We saw giant green turtles, crocodile flathead fish, an anemone crab, octopus, batfish, cocooned parrotfish, shrimp and urchins on-the-move. One of their dive masters, Keith, is so addicted to night diving that he'll happily go out even if you're the only one going. I had both Keith and a dive master in training on my dive so I didn't miss a thing.

Happy to have given my business to such wonderful people! Mark and Amel are so genuinely awesome! Amel went above and beyond for me when I even had to figure out planes and shuttles after my trip! Go with ADA if you want a personable small group experience. I will definitely be coming back to ADA one day to do more diving and honestly just hangout with awesome people :)

The crew here went out of their way to make sure we had a blast! The equipment was top notch and not overused (like most we saw on the island). Go with AUS and you won't be disappointed
