A nice quiet beach with some small simple restaurants on the shore. The beach is also relatively clean. The only downside are the so many peddlers (many are even kids) trying to sell you stuff.

One of the best shoreline along the Lombok Island. It has great scenic landscape view and the complete beaches ambience as well

I honestly have no idea how the other reviews found this place so wonderful. The water and the beach was full of trash, no effort from the businesses here to clean it up. Plastic waste kept rubbing our legs in the water, I pulled out a huge plastic/burlap looking bag that I stepped on. Go to Lancing instead of here, at least they make an effort and keep the beach spotless, but it is also ten folds better than Tanjung. I'm not even exagerrating, if they cleaned this place up it would be good but avoid this until they start making an effort to clean up the waste!

Wonderful beach. Nice white sand. No waves. Quiet. Some small bars and cheap restaurant on the beach with shadow.

Beautiful beach. Rows of huts serving food and renting boards. A perfect place to sit for hours watching and playing in the sea.

A true gem of a beach! Great for swimming, incredibly beautiful. It retains a very natural and untouched feel while still having a few places to get drinks and food. The little hill to to the left of the beach is well worth a climb as the views are spectacular, particularly at sunset or sunrise. Will return for sure!

Deep blue water and golden sand! I think you won't find such beautiful beaches around Kuta, and I have been to many just to be sure... easy access and parking. You get free stay under a bamboo umbrella and beds with the drinks or food (I bet this is only in low season )

White sand beach.. love the surroundings.. feelings peacefully and good to enjoy the sunshine here.. not too crowded also.. try to buy the young coconut (around 15k) and take your time to relax :)

The beach was very warm. I saw the cows eating coconuts! It was so funny π! There is lots of crabs which are really cute. The beach is great to swim in because there isn't much salt. It is the BESTπππππ!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful white, sandy beach with very calm waves perfect for swimming. The water however, is full of trash, just as the surrounding area. There are only limited spots with some shadow, and lots of very persistent ladies trying to sell you their scarfs.
The hills nearby are a much better destination as they offer a great view of the surrounding area.

Actually i only look this place from the top of merese hill since it located right beside the hill, from the top i can see that it is a quite long n white sandy beach, with less wave n blue-green water so u can swimming n relaxing here nicely..

Marvelous view! The beach is quite clean, the white sand is so beautiful. You can also surf here, the wave is perfect. Also many cute dogs stroll around the beach.

Great view! No doubt about it. Plenty of sightseeing possibilities. But... there are plenty of stray dogs. So you'd better not bring food to the beach, or else they will get to you. Toilets and showers are in devastating condition.

A bit dirty with a concrete wall as backdrop. Great place to meet locals as there is little foreigners

The beach is so beautiful. If you go to Mataram or Lombok dont forget to go there. Dont forget to go to Merese Hill. You can see Tanjung Aan Beach from there. Itnis about 30 minutes walk from Tanjung Aan Beach. There are another beach that is near. Mawun Beach and Selong Belanak.

The sand is gorgeous - like white powder - but there is a lot of litter around the beach.
We reached the beach after visiting Mawun beach and Selung Belanak beach and I would recommend those two over Tanjung Aan.

Beautiful beach!! Awesome views and the water is amazing to swim in! Go to warung Turtle, grab a bale and sip some beers in between swimming sessions.. the food is pretty good there too!

Awesome beach in the South East tip of Lombok. Try to walk by to Merese hill next door. The view is even more awesome! Thank me later.

Nice horseshoe beach. Try to eat at warung turtle. They have parking lot in the shade for 10k

A perfect beach in my opinion!! White, soft sand, clear blue water, a good restaurant where you can eat lunch and buy the supplies you need for a day at the beach and (in march) not that much people at all.

Clean Beach, good for diving, and surfing, not sure for swimming as it's too many rocks on the shore. Took 1h 15min from mataram 70km/h using motorbikes. The road to the beach badly damaged but still accessible for car. with the great view of the beach it shouldn't a big deal. Some local may attempt to persuade you to go on boat to other exclusive beach nearby for around 50k. Around the beach there's a swinger, good for photoshoot

Good spot for swimming. Not so many people too. Too many kids trying to sell us bracelets. The beach is closed at 7 pm be sure to leave before 7.

quiet secluded beach, great Turtle Warung with good food and great views. Had swings for cute pictures and the water was warm but a little shallow. Not really a swimming beach but just wading and splashing around was great

Went on a Sunday and it was very crowded with local school kids. Amazing beach! except for all the floating garbage but thats the norm in Indoneisa.

Very turquoise, very blue, very peaceful especially if you go to the middle side., where all you can see is only the the turquoise water and blue sky with sequence of hills in front of your eyes.
Be careful with the kids and seller in this place, because they will keep following you until you buy what they offers. usually they selling necklace, bracelet, tee, and a fishermen that will offer you to sail around and bring you to some small islands
