The place is in a perfect spot , great food and good price for sleep, the owner is very friendly and chill woman but i think the service at the restaurant is very important too and it wasn't the best one, some waiters on the breakfast were not friendly or welcoming like ( take your food and go ) but by the way everybody has different experience and this was mine.

Busy, expensive, locals will jump on you to take a private boat to go surfing. Then they'll bring you to a crowded surf spot where the locals take all the waves. And if by chance you manage to get one you'll probably have to stop mid wave because of the beginners and "surf instructors" waiting after the first section.
Tips: just wait 2 minutes close to the cafe and you'll most likely find someone else to split the coast of the boat (150k idr for one boat).

Good place for a boat trip to Gerupuk surf breaks, but try to avoid Insides on a small day as there are too many Euro kook surfers who block your ride or drop in.

Mixed feelings: on a good day u can hop on a boat with a friendly driver and 3 other friends, pay 50k rp each and spend 1hr on Dom Dom and 1 on inside or outside. The boat driver is also a surfer so u'll have to compete with him to get waves but that's OK. On a bad day, the boat guys will look at u like u're meat, do everything they can (incl. Being pretty aggressive) to split yr group and get 2 guys per boat so they can extort 75k from each one, then take u to one spot only all the while looking like they wanna spit in yr face, then get in the water and drop in on you. And if the wave's not good enough for them they'll tell they've gotta go after 1h only. So choose yr day!

We've been there 2 days in line with a driver and change for the boat of a friend of us to share the price. When we came back the first guy threatened us and was very very agressive because we didn't want to go anymore with him. Don't go there, they will charge you 20 dollars to bring you in a very crowded spot. in addition you can find these type of waves for free. For surfing go to Maui or Selong Blanak.
