''SURPRISING LOMBOK''
It was a wonderful Sasak Lombok Tour that our group of 17 people took with your guide Jaya, on Jan 13, 2014.
First of all, it was easy to find Jaya outside the gate at Lembar port. The air conditioned bus was very comfortable and the driver was very good.
Our walk through Sukarara weaving village was very interesting, it made us appreciate the villagers life. Then, Jaya took us to another small village where 2 dancers simulated a sword fight. The whole village was there to welcome us, it was very touching. This was the highlight of the tour, even if it was not on the tour schedule.
The Rambitan village with traditional Sasak house was very crowded, as many other tours were there at the same time. We still appreciated the architecture.
Kuta Beach was great to stroll on, but we had so little time there. Finally, we enjoyed the Narmada Temple, with its beautiful gardens.
It was a great tour and everyone appreciated it. Jaya spoke good English, he was very knowledgeable, professional and gentle.
We would recommend Lombok Travelasia and the Sasak Lombok Tour for a good overview of Lombok island in one day.

“Excellent Tour for Cruise Ship Stop-over”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2016
We were fortunate that friends from a previous cruise suggested that we contact Halil Chapmen of Lombok Travel Asia for a sight seeing tour in Lombok. Halil was most helpful in putting together a package for our group of ten.
Our guide, Jaya, was waiting for us after the tender trip ashore at Lembar. Jaya soon had Wayan and the air-conditioned coach picking us up and on our way to Ungga Village and the local museum. We were greeted at Ungga by group of pretty young girls that prepared our way with flower petals. This was followed with local music and two young men demonstrating “stick fighting”. Next the locals danced and persuaded many of our group to join in! Finally we were offered samples of local fruit.
After Ungga we went to the village of Sukarara to see hand weaving before continuing to Sade Sasak Village. Here we saw the unique house construction with thatch roofing, narrow passageways and lots of photo opportunities.
Finally we visited the beautiful sand beach at Kuta South where we were overwhelmed by the locals promoting their woven goods carried in bulk on their heads.
During our land trips in Indonesia we found Internet access very limited. Halil tells us that they will make a Wi-Fi hot spot available on future tours!
