Not another International school…
Lombok Learning Village has exceeded my expectations, situated in a calm and picturesque setting and surrounded by local villages and lush vegetation.
It has been built with the children in mind at the perfect location.
The school lay-out and class room architecture offers children a very relaxed and tropical atmosphere. My kids find it quite transporting and inspiring for learning. They keep saying, "Mamman, our school is so green!"
This innovative school is quite avant-garde in my opinion and will soon (I hope) place Lombok on the map. The school model has been designed specifically to accommodate the unique needs and wants of children and adolescents, the location and environment of this beautiful tropical island of Lombok (Indonesia) allows learning to go far beyond the classroom making this school very unique. Each class room is equipped with A.I presence in the classroom.
The school children / teachers ratio has allowed superior pastoral care to my children nurturing them in a very gentle and holistic way. There is a strong community-feel built around this school so the kids and I feel smoothly integrated to the surrounding community and so learning happens in an organic way.
Both my sons have been previously homeschooled for 3 years after the British schools couldn't cater for them and made them clearly unhappy and disengagged. I never stopped looking for options which could cater for both worlds. Engaging the whole child in crossed platform academic topics but yet with a home-schooling approach with a real family feel/touch to it.
After having spent a ridiculous number of hours researching and studying what would be the most appropriate curriculum for my kids and up to date with the 21rst century demands and standards. I happily settled down for the IPC curriculum which for me beats by far any other curriculums. This curriculum is far superior because of the way it delivered.
It is the perfect bridge for us from our home-schooling adventures to transitioning into academic topics which are not forced fed unto them but rather explored in a multi-angle fashion through a lot of practical activities that children have the freedom to choose.
The IPC focuses on developing knowledge, skills and understanding of subjects set within cross-curricular, thematic units that are creative and challenging for children. It is indeed a comprehensive, thematic, creative curriculum, with a clear process of learning and specific learning goals for every subject. It also develops international mindedness and encourages personal learning and growth.
I then spent many nights fine combing all schools around the world using this curriculum figuring out which schools and environments would be the most suitable to deliver the IPC content and at a reasonable price. So with my heart set on this brilliant program I have chosen to settle for the IPC at the Lombok Learning Village for all those various reasons.
I then took a leap of faith and decided to relocate my family here in Lombok for the very sake of this school.
The principal of this school is a determined visionary, whose passion for education, art and human nature transpires in every aspect of the school. I met with him and interviewed him at length before the school opened. After all, I was serious about the big move from my home country to Lombok for this school so I had to be certain it would be a good fit for my children! It definitely is proving to be, as both my sons tell me daily what they're learning, what they are enjoying and even how they feel empowered creating their own ideas and future.
LLV is definitely going to put Lombok on the map!

I love this school for my four year old son. We flew out all the way from the U.K just having seen and spoken to the school principal. Both the vision and ethos of the school is exemplary and they've lived up to the standard expected and... exceeded. I love the fact that the curriculum can be changed in accordance to each individual child. I love the raw materials used along with 21st century mod-Comms. I love that my child is learning through play and insightful, intelligent teachers. Most of all I'm IN love with the beautiful setting of Indonisia and the luscious green, open space that Lombok Learning Village offers.
I couldn't recommend this school highly enough for anyone who's looking for thematic learning and for getting involved in their children's educational experience.
Definitely wish I was back at school when I see my child doing so well at Lombok Learning Village.

Very happy with this new school. My son is happy and enjoying all the learning there. Great community feel and teachers and principal very dedicated.

As a parent, I am really very happy with the quality of teaching my young learner is getting.The school has a wonderful community atmosphere with good parent participation. The teachers are all wonderful and I am continually impressed with the dedication of the management team.

They said using 21st century international education, but too much theories. Changing curriculum from IPC to others in the middle of school year. At the beginning they said, one expatriate and one Indonesian teachers per class, and now there are 2 expat teachers only for the whole school and The principal can't speak good english!
