Slightly old and undermaintained (worn sunloungers etc.) but the view over the sea is beautiful and the rooms are great and comfy. The English breakfast was an interesting take , but nice.

Beautiful, beautiful villas to have a vacation. Ours had a swimming pool, with a sea view. Customer service was pretty good. If there was a small complaint it would be that the general cleanliness of the rooms and toilets were not the best, but that's nitpicking. Oh, and there's pretty much no Internet connection, or slow at best. But hey, it's a place to detach and switch off so it was not a huge issue. All in all, a perfect place to unwind.

Okay so if you read a little history on Lombok and how they had an idea of becoming the next Bali then you'll get why there's so many run down, dilapidated and abandoned villas here. Unfortunately this place appears to have just simply run out of money. But it would have been amazing in the 1990s! Everything is dated and requires replacing or repairing. With that said the space is huge and pool is also big. The view is astoundingly beautiful and it's only a $2.50 cab ride into town. There's no nearby restaurants in walking distance so you need to plan ahead to cab to town or eat here. The menu is pretty extensive but it's expensive compared to standard indonesian prices. The staff are fantastic very friendly and helpful. The tours offered are more expensive than planning something in town so make sure you hunt around. Despite the 2 star rating we paid $100AUD a night and im certainly not complaining it was a great experience and a beautiful location if this is what you're after. Just do your research so your accomodation suits your holiday style. Other tips: get a taxi from the airport, will be half the price of hotel transfer, find yourself a good taxi driver from town to plan your pick ups and drop off, it's much cheaper than a driver. Stock up on snacks and drinks from in town it will save you having to order too much from the in house menu.

My husband and i stayed at Imaj Villa Batu Layar with our two daughters. We highly recommend the Villa with stunning views of the ocean and a most gorgeous swimming pool. The Villa itself has stunning carved wood doors and exotic wood features through out. A huge thank you to the Manager who was extremely helpful and Mee-lin the owner for sharing this stunning Villa. Also thank you to all the staff who was an absolute delight and mainly to Juphrey (Jeffrey) who was our driver and guide and such a gentle soul. We hope to see you all in the future.

1ST DAY IMPRESSION.
We have been to many villas in Bali and the likes but this place has that old charm that is hard to be replicated by new villas. Our Matahari room is facing the sea and view is spectacular. A good place to just de stress.
The only thing that we like to see is more lighting in the room. At night time, we cant do any reading due to low lights.
But that will not take away the impressive setting of the place. Marvelous.!
AFTER 4 DAY OF STAY.
The setting is still beautiful expecially the view. However some lacklustre that need mentioning because it bother us:
1. Our toilet is not clean despite request to clean it. It actually reek of some decay. We r not sure.
2. The room cleanliness is not up to par. We cannot go barefoot in the room because itnis dusty and soiled. Your foot will go dirty in no time.
3. Some item in the room is not working. Burnt light bulbs are not replaced.
4. Manager which never on duty or missing.
Other thing that is not a major concern but can bring the score down is very average breakfast and food available.
All in all..its a place you go for view n peace. If you expect service. You will be let down.

Stayed in Lombok for a week, moved here and there but this was the best one!
Rooms are clean, pool has amazing view!
