A must visit place fo local food lover particularly Garang Asam (sour and spice Chicken soup). I made a stop when on my way visiting my cousin in Pati. I decided to make a stop when I noted many cars were coming in and out of this place and it turned out to be the right decision. My wife was skeptical in the beginning but very satisfied afterwards. Fast service as the waiter approach every customer with ready-to-eat hot Garang Asam. Not need to wait after making order. It offers other food but without a doubt the signature dish is Garang Asam. It’s tender, spice and simply delicious while the portion was quite big. The price is also reasonable. Must stop here every time I travel to my hometown.

One of the best garangasem (traditional Javanese food) resto in Kudus. It's a spicy and sour food with green tomatoes and chilli

Had lunch here with my India colleague before we have meeting near by from this restaurant. The favorit food is Garang Asem Ayam is actually chicken mixed with small tomato, green chilli and other spices and wrapped it in the banana leaves and steamed with low heat... My Indian colleague liked it but too hot for him...

Crowded place. Customer come and go fast. Its menu freshly made and its well known for "GARANG ASEM" local cuisine its best to be eaten hot and its original taste contains Spicy.

this is a javanese traditional food its hot and sour.. chicken base.. with green tomato.. for the sour taste... it nyummmy... very delicous for indonesia.. and anyone who like hot and sour dishes

Great taste of Garang Asem, the chicken meat is soft and tender, the souce is sour yet spicy with a little hint of umami taste. I should have given 5 stars but since the waitresses are not so kind due to their work burden, so I gave 4 stars. Keep it up! Hire some more waitress! 😊

Best steam chicken in banana leaf. It is seasoned with green chilies, green tomatoes, it tastes spicy and sour, very tasty. Please do not try it if you can not eat spicy food, it will kill you.

So many people says this is best place to eat Garang Asem (Sour Tasted Chicken Soup) in town but when we get there the taste is average, staff is NOT friendly, cost quiet expensive for such a place

One of the best place to eat garang asem in kudus. The chicken is sooo tender and the soup is spicy and sour. Really appetizing. Recommended if you are in kudus.

Super hot and delicious Garang Asem - sour soup chicken/meat cooked in chilli and green tomatoes and wrapped in banana leafs. Best served with steamed rice.

The food was indeed delicious but the service was really poor.
I went with my parents yesterday and when we order the food, the waiter didn't even smile or at least gave us the fake friendly face (which we would pretty much appreciate rather than giving us a frown)
Drinks came after we had finished the food and the waiter didn't even apologise for the delay AND taking the wrong order.
We don't normally complained like this, but we wouldn't be offended if the place was crowded that time.
I hope they will give us better service the next time we're decided to eat there again.

Since Kudus is famous for its garang asam, this restaurant serves the best garang asam you can get in Kudus! It's really crowded downstairs though, so ask the waiter to eat upstairs where it is much more comfortable.

Salah satu makanan khas Kudus, Garang Asem namanya. Rasa kuahnya asem segar gurih, dan daging ayamnya yang empuk menjadikan makanan khas kudus ini begitu nikmat. Ayo dicoba. :)

Wisata kuliner yang wajib dikunjungi kalau ke kudus. Menu andalan disini garang asem ayam dan garang asem jeroan. Juga terdapat penjualan oleh-oleh khas kudus jenang mubarok.

A no frills restaurant on the way to Kudus. The best dish to get here is Garang Asem. It's a bit spicy so watch out.

Restonya bersih banget, makannya pun tersaji dengan rapi. Menu utamanya Garang Asem adalah masakan tradisional, kukira aku bakal suka dengan makanan itu, ternyata biasanya saja. Jangan khawatir masih banyak menu lainnya ko.
