The one star is for the fantastic location (close to the beach and the town center). Overall this was the worst place we stayed in Bali during our week long trip.
The staff here are unreliable and don't communicate with each other. We stayed here for three nights, during which the shower was blocked every night. The first night we advised the staff, he asked us to shower in the outdoor open space shower next to the pool instead as he will fix it the next day. When I asked if there is a covered area I can shower, he said all rooms were full. Only when I looked hesitant, I was offered a shower in a different room.
The next day when we asked if it was fixed, they asked to "try first". When it was flooding again, another staff assured me he would fix it himself the next day. Next day, same thing - we were asked to "try first".
Breakfast is served from 8 am here and I was grateful that the manager advised us that we can eat at 7am before we leave for our snorkling/diving trip at 8 am on the second day and to catch the 8:30 boat the last morning. So it was disappointing when the kitchen staff said she was not told this the first day and she was not ready the next.

It was being renovated at the time we stayed. Loud noises of people working everyday from sunrise til sunset. Staff was rude. They asked for money before stay. Only one power socket in the bungalow. Even though they had unoccupied bungalows further from the renovation noise they did not offer us them. Bungalow is dark and they do not put up lights by the pool when it's dark. Out of 5 places stayed on the islands this one is the worst. Generally don't write negative comments but this one deserved it.

Rent a scooter here from friendly Mr. Nicho. 75k rupiahs a day, gasoline included.

The location is great in the smaller village, out of two on the island, close to shops and restaurants and a proper street in front of the accommodation, rather than just a dirt road.
It was throughout our stay quiet and relaxed. The bungalow was clean but we had to get used to a moldy - old smell which might have come form the wood or roof. The shower was a little low pressurized but clean and comfy.
The pool just beside our bungalow was mostly empty and we had it for ourself.
Really a bummer was unfortunately the breakfast which was poorly prepared and many things they didn't have, like strawberry jam, which should be in my eyes a basic standard. Also the stuff didn't really speak English and it was more than once hard to communicate if something was wrong or what we wanted.
We stayed here for four night, but looking at the vast amount of other bungalow places around the closer area we possibly would stay here again...

We stayed 3 days at Nicho's. We stayed in one of the bungalows in the back of the site. These are new and are very comfortabele. However at first we were offered an older bungalow in the front of the complex. These are out-dated, very small and with little comfort. After we discovered the new bungalows in the back requested to transfer, which was allowed at a slight increase in price. In general the staff was friendly and helpfull except for the manager. He was clearly not amused when I rented a scooter somewhere else and tried to intimidatie me into renting one of his. The breakfast was very basic and not worth the extra cost. Even though we already paid for it, it was better to take breakfast elsewhere. Overall we had a nice stay at Nichos.

Gute und neue Anlage die immer gepflegt wird.Nette Mitarbeiter die aber nur zumindest was das Frühstück betrifft schlecht Englisch verstehen. Das Frühstück ist als sehr einfach zu bezeichnen !
