Tourist trap. Highly overpriced products are actually heavily cut with sugar (and/or other fillers). Turmeric for example sells in a bali super market for 6000 irp. There you will pay 110 000 irp. And it is fake. Mostly dyed sugar. Same with other herbs they sell. This is why they pressure tourist to buy the powder versins snd sell no root version of the products. Aside the sophisticated selling techniques that gets tourists to buy their overpriced fake products animal cruelty is sadly to be witnessed there such as a chained monkey going crazy. Your driver might want to take you there to get a cut. Coffee plantations are common tourist traps drivers try to take you too. AVOID
