Good hotel compared to the price. Our room was nice, but a bit old worn down. The pool area was really beautiful and nice, but it was very diffucult to lay in the sun because of the high buildings and especially all the large palm trees. The breakfast buffet was pretty large and the food was fine. The guest here laid their towels on the sunbeds and took all the good places, and would come back many later, very annoying. For me it was not an authentic Bali hotel, but just a large resort you can find everywhere in the world. Personally I would have loved to stay in something more original.

I have tried many hotels in Bali but keep coming back to Swissbel Sanur as I cannot find any that match up to it. The lay out of motel, the cleanliness of the pool, gardens and rooms is the best
The staff are so friendly they will do anything to make your stay the best. I go to Bali twice a year. This is my fifth year staying there and it just gets better every time.

- bathroom stinks with urine
- floor in the room (and bathroom) is very slippery when wet. My daughter slipped and hit her head due to we’re given only one floor towel for the whole room. Had to ask explicitly for more towels which got removed by the housekeeping the next day.
- towels are old and grey, room wallpapers start to peel off
- rooms are small, the declared room size probably includes the balcony
- 10% service + 10% tax is sneaked out in the menus
- to add to the holiday mood, you have to wake up at 7am and get to the reception to get one of the 13 beach vouchers if you like to get a beach access that day.
- breakfast is quite basic, less variety than even some cheaper hotels provide. If you seat close to the kitchen you get a bonus of a fried pork fat smell.
- the area around the pool is full with smoking people. That’s despite the sings forbidding smoking next to the kids pool.

On the positive side, staff is friendly and location is quite convenient. Not staying here again though.

Rooms good, food good, staff great, location good easy to walk to restaurants, Starbucks markets, Hardys store, the beach is a bit further. Good for a quiet holiday in Sanur.

Stayed to use the beach facilities including the sun beds. There are more places along the beach which provide a more prompt service and are relatively cleaner. Most of the places we visited has extremely helpful and friendly staff which went completely amiss at this hotel.

The room is big enough and clean, they split between toilet, bathroom, and bathtub which is nice. The staffs were friendly and polite. Most of the decoration and furniture is made off wood and rotan so it's feels natural. My room doesn't have sceneries view, only trees and neighborhood. The price is pretty expensive but maybe because they have variety of facility. So far so good.

This is our 5th or 6th stay at this property over a 4 year period. I have noticed a steady decline in the condition of rooms and facilities over this period. There is also some noticeable cost cutting with housekeeping restocking room amenities and delays in servicing rooms probably due to reduced staff, limited towels in the rooms (we had to ask for hand towels), the grime/slime around the pool edges, loose boards on the pool deck and the general cleanliness of the entire property. The main attraction with this property is the pool system with two major pools, one offering quiet bathing and the other catering for the Pool Bar and it's customers. The latter area is convivial and has been used by the writer quite extensively on this and previous stays. Apart from breakfast we didn't dine in the restaurant (Swiss Cafe) at all during this stay due to price, taxes and food variety. Extras on top of the advertised menu prices amount to over 20% and when staying for around two weeks and dining/drinking at this property it all mounts up to give one a shock at checkout. After careful consideration it is unlikely we would return to this property despite it's perfect location. I can only forsee the continuation of the decline previously mentioned unless someone in senior management gives it a good shake and rejuvenates it but that takes vision and money. The staff in this property are brilliant, one and all and they are the hotels best asset.

Excellent in every way. Staff so friendly. Breakfast buffet style Excellent, cannot fault this resort

A Murray (22/02/2018 05:13)
Great little resort. Fair priced. Staff were great! Food and drinks were okay, but surrounded by a lot of restaurants. Rooms are nice and comfortable, pool is good. But I think the staff really made it special.

Xenia van den Hengel (08/11/2017 14:54)
Good hotel with excellent kitchen. Rooms could use a bit of renovation and the gym should have a more regular cleaning.

The food is excellent and the service is fast. There are plenty of lounge chairs available and the atmosphere is good.

The hotel is located near restaurants, spa's and shops. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk.

Pool is awesome. Drinks expensive by the pool & are not cold, the cocktails are served in plastic glasses that are clean but badly stained. Bath room could be cleaner. Otherwise the bed was comfortable and room was a good size and the area is quieter and more relaxed than Kuta.

Ivan Di Giusto (31/10/2017 11:04)
Great friendly service. Rooms are clean with very nice beds! Pool area is pretty large with lots of lounge chairs.

Yuliza Santoso (14/10/2017 09:28)
Stayed one night for our honeymoon. Room is lovely just a bit too small. Friendly service and they have nice public swimming pool. Great location to everywhere.

Daran Thomson (17/09/2017 03:39)
Friendly staff at hotel. Room was nice, but I'm sure air-con is turned down at night. Free Breakfast is very good selection of hot a cold food. You can get cooked eggs on demand.
A small complaint is when we tried to redeem buy one cocktail get one free. The staff said they needed print out of email even though I showed a screen shot on my phone.
But overall the hotel was great and pool area beautiful. The greeting from Lintang,(Porter Manager) was very friendly and fun. He is a credit to the Hotel and himself.

Freek H (05/09/2017 06:17)
Beautiful hotel with a giant pool that could even be accessed directly from the inner ground floor rooms. Our room was not one of them but included an outdoor jacuzzi. Both the included breakfast buffet and other menus are extensive and well prepared. The location of the hotel is amazing, exiting either left or right leads you into the main street of Sanur with plenty of shops and restaurants. The beach is within walking distance, however the best nearby beach is that of the Prama hotel 30 minutes walking or less than 10 by taxi away.

WieN Winarno (24/08/2017 05:10)
I found a lot of ants in my room, nice pool anyway. The staffs are not well enough to give services. There is no greeting when I meet some of them in the corridor. Indonesian guest is few. Ignored at own country.

Brendan Bunyan (01/08/2017 08:02)
The Swiss Belresort was very nice. We enjoyed our stay there. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. Worth staying if you get a chance. The pool is great for all ages.

domshio (09/07/2017 05:16)
Biggest lies ever. The lobby looks amazing, but the room was dirty and the bathroom door wasn't far enough away to sit without your knees hitting the door. Also, keep your receipts or they won't want to give the room key deposit back. Bad experience.

Denny Kriwil (02/07/2017 03:41)
Western tourist's favorite place for staying. Great rooms, services, and foods. Staffs are friendly and helpful, they're also fluent in English.

Hans Abraham (30/05/2017 11:32)
It was too bad for such a good name of the hotel some of the building material and layout not properly constructed.
All of the wallpaper was peeled off the wall, the shower aimed at the door thus the water would flood the bathroom.
But I liked the breakfast! The chef was awesome!

Inna Safa (10/05/2017 03:49)
Excellent place to stay (especially with hot tub rooms). Great view of swimming pool, great services and tasty breakfast buffet. Superb!

sergio di gennaro (14/03/2017 08:13)
Fantastic location, nice rooms at resonable price.

Trevor Smyth (20/02/2017 15:02)
This was a pleasant stay here recently.
We stayed here for 3 nites and found the hospitality to be excellent.
The hotel is set in a great location within walking distance of some fantastic restaurants.
Rooms are comfortable and feature spacious bathrooms with rain showers , hotel balconies.
Wifi works very well and found the breakfast to be more than sufficient with a egg station and many other options.
Great staff top off this mid range hotel and i would stay again.

Lachlan Black (09/02/2017 00:35)
Stayed here in December for 5 nights. Initially we were given a room on the corner of the hotel. Three room had nothing going for it and had no view. Staff were very attentive and quickly ensured a room change. The pool is very relaxing and breakfast is quite good. Room service is very affordable and really good.

Kevin Blair (19/01/2017 23:46)
We have never spent so much time in a Bali hotel as we did here. Staff are exceptional too hotel is really nice with excellent prices.

Really amazing value here.

Marco Müller (10/01/2017 13:01)
The hotel is beautiful as in the pictures, the pools are great but the room is disappointing. It is spacious but not functional. The bathroom is a mess, the shower and tap will spill all over the bathroom floor everytime and the toilet is very noisy. They provide small and cheap towels, the floor towels are not enough for that bathroom and the jacuzzi. They have a notice saying that the water from the tap is not potable and yet they give only two 500 ml bottles of mineral water for 2 adults per day. There was just 2 power outlets, one with an "international" format that was useless, our adaptors would fall off, and the other  by the door, far away from the bed and desk. Smallest fridge I've seen in a hotel, won't fit a 1,5l bottle of water. Check in was a nightmare as well, crowded reception and by 4pm our room wasn't ready. The breakfast has great variety, which was nice, but not specially good.

Good location. Very helpful and professional hotel staff. Great swimming pool. My son really likes the swimming pool 👍👍

Luc Vincent (29/10/2016 18:49)
Family friendly resort about a block away from the beach. Nice pool, great breakfast buffet, nice air conditioned rooms. They have a few bikes for guests to rent for local excursions.

Dorothy Ooko (24/08/2016 06:13)
Centrally located and a few minutes from the beach! In spite of being a massive hotel with +300 rooms, the attention is very personal. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pool is huge with a lovely bar. Breakfast here is a banquet. Rooms are affordable for what you get-- very affordable! The WiFi works well everywhere within the hotel.

Wayne Budgen (21/07/2016 15:21)
In the heart of Sanur, this venue sits amongst the many restaurants & shops as a haven to relax in. It balances security with welcome as you enter & notic the large, central pool area. This area is the central feature of the venue and has both shallow & deeper pools, along with a bar & numerous deck chairs/locations to relax. The resort restaurant is situated at the far end of the pool area & provides customers with a good variety of dishes at an affordable price. The rooms are well appointed, clean & have an outdoor spa pool on their balcony. The conference rooms are large & comfortable, with all the necessities to handle a mid-sized crowd. There is a fitness centre located adjacent to the conference rooms. It is basic but adequate for holiday fitness. Staff are professional & welcoming. Highly recommended.

Gaile Gordon (19/07/2016 06:08)
Good large modern hotel in Sanur with competitive prices. We had two rooms: a twin overlooking the pool and a king on the outside with a jacuzzi tub on the balcony - can't imagine using the latter with a nice pool available in a better environment. Poolside room was slightly nicer. Buffet breakfast is extensive and included western and Asian choices. Hotel is on the main strip near good dining options and easy walking distance to beach and beach walk. They have an arrangement with the Crema beach club if you want a lounger and umbrella. Works just fine, just have to reserve ahead and bring a paper voucher. Also rented their bikes for a day at very reasonable rate.

Thomas Marlissa (12/07/2016 13:36)
Service was excellent. Location was great, close to the beacht and many restaurants nearby. Rooms were cleaned every day, though not as 'new' as expected. Overall excellent experience.

Ka Bi (08/06/2016 04:20)
We had a nice room. The staff was very nice and the Restaurant was good. They got a reply nice Pool area. It is possible to get free sunbeds at the beach which is a 5minute walk away. Sadly the beach and water is really littered

Love the Swiss-Bel, we have stayed here twice and will be back again. Staff are very friendly and very helpful, rooms are nice and well cleaned. The pool is just amazing, with a swim up bar. Wifi works well throughout the hotel.

Mark Epicurean (05/05/2016 18:12)
While the pool and entrance looked great. I woke up in the morning to find really the bed sheets had red stains all over them. Old towels. A few large cracks in the outdoor Jacuzzi. Breakfast was horrible. Will not return here.

Seven months ago.
Great hotel, location to restaurants in area is terrific. Evening dining was never a hassle as there are so many great places to choose from. You would be hard to please if you did not like the breakfasts. Rooms great, huge bathroom and very friendly staff. Would stay here again.
