I do not recommend this hotel. We were in the budget section, but this was way below budget and did not come close to its advertised amenities. First room was mouldy and stank, with no hot water. Asked to be put upstairs. Second room was fresher, but had no water, only boiling hot, which was impossible to shower under. Asked to change again as it was the fourth night of no shower. Moved back down stairs, where the water worked slightly better but the room stank and felt damp. Also the master keys to all the rooms were left on a hook in clear sight of everyone (which I pointed out to the manager). All the young staff were very polite and helpful, but the manager who has been here 25 years kept telling me that there was nothing wrong as he knew this hotel. I would not stay here again.

The good thing about the hotel is its location where is near to the beach. While the bad thing was the hospitality of the staffs and the breakfast.

Great place to stay while in Sanur! Close to everything on North side sanur for a great price.

Really nice hotel
friendly staff, good and cheap food, great air-con, nice rooms overall with big bathrooms and tv with English channels including movie channels and cartoon network, plus a decently sized clean pool. Some great shops around too, and only 5 min from the beach

We didn't stay at the hotel. We were walking past and there food area is open to the road like all the other reastrants so we went in for breakfast. Worse decision made all holiday! Toast was like bricks, eggs more burnt than I was! Bugs crawling around. After every where we are throughout the week it was easy to pick this as the worse because no where else was bad!

We stay 2night at this hotel.first day when we arrived we buy 3botol water before check in ,we get100000 rp ,the canteen staff take the money and say no small money change to me so want wait boss come back.after half o'clock we ask the staff he say no money change again.when my indonesia friend ask he open the locker change the balance money to me!!!in the locker we see hav many money small!!the staff try to cheat!!second day breakfast we no eat in this hotel finally becouse also hav something open.very non like this hotel canteen staff!!

I stay at this hotel when ever I'm in Sanur.. very comfortable rooms .. friendly staff .. is in a good location for all activities in Sanur and is exclusively used as a Bali home base for Tarzan Marriott on Penida .. for transfers ..

Smelly, musty no privacy. Stayed there 5 minutes before getting out quick.
The room smelled bad and musty, it was right in front of the pool. Not worth 35k.

I have stayed here twice - most recently July 2011.
First time, I took my family with me. Second time, some friends joined us. Each time, we stayed for a week. The comments below are based on those experiences.
Puri Mango is a small guest house, on two levels. The upper level is accessed by a wide staircase. I think there are about 24 rooms.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Rooms are neither small, nor large. First time, I shared a room with my two sons, and that was OK for us. Rooms have hot water, TV (free-to-air Indonesian channels only), & air-con, but no phone.
There is free Wi-Fi in the dining room, which is open all day.
Breakfast was OK. The dining room advertises pizza as a specialty - we tried these a few times, and they were OK. We had other meals there, and they were always good.
Puri Mango has a small pool. And, it is about 500 metres to the beach at Sindhu.
It is very well-located on the main street within Sanur: a few hundred metres from Hardy's shopping complex; and there are numerous shops and good restaus along that road.
One thing I particularly liked about Puri Mango was that when I wanted a taxi, there was always one coming along within two minutes, and it was only a few dollars' ride to Kuta.
I rate Puri Mango ****, bearing in mind that it is less than $40 per night, and I'm comparing it to others in that category.
I would stay there again, and I recommend it to anyone wanting to have an inexpensive stay in Bali.
In response to earlier reviews - I have no complaints about the cleanliness of the Puri Mango, and everything worked.

The sheets had blood stains.. The toilet was broken.. There wa no hand sink.. Etc..
