Nice place to have dinner with your loved ones, or just to hanging out with your friends. Nice place, friendly employees, great gelato! Try their Rum Raisins gelato taste, you won't be disappointed!

Large restaurant with a variety of areas to sits and eat. Can relax in the sun at the bar, sit in the informal veranda with shade and fans to keep cool or in the more traditional, dressed tables and chairs inside. Huge menu offers a variety of meals from Italian cuisine. We had pizzas that were fresh and quickly served. The tradition thin crusts were much nicer than the deep pan. A plus with this place was the wide selection of ice-creams available. Great value for money.

The gellato are very delicious! Trying blueberry cheesecake and caramel flavour, it's melted perfectly in my mouth. Price is affordable. There's a long queue when I was there but still it's worth it.

Massimo is your perfect host, he takes the time to check on all customers to ensure they are having a good time. The main restaurant was a little too warm on our visit, mainly due to no breeze that evening, however we were moved to the Air-conditioned section. Food is really good, honestly I’m a real foody and I couldn’t fault the food. All the cheeses are made in house, quality and taste is awesome. Prices are good, after all you pay for what you get, and quality is going to be slightly higher than your average restaurant in Bali. Front of the restaurant you can taste over 30 Home made Gelato’s.. perfect for eating while strolling around Bali.

I'm very impressed! Great attentive service staff, obviously well trained. Very good food, not stingy with the ingredients, and for a decent price! Nice to sit also, we sat outside on a raised terrace. Lighting just right, nice and romantic. I will certainly come back very soon!

This would be the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. I am on my second trip to Bali and Massimo's. It is simply the best. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. Well worth a visit. Beware of copies like Missimo's. Think a "Mass". Give the other one a "Miss".

It looks overcrowded and very popular because there is a stall serving ice cream at the front. Haha.
Once in the restaurant it is kinda big and busy.
The food is really good. Nothing to complain about there!
But like the owner says in the menu - it takes time to make the food. So don't be in a hurry!
Ordered two pizzas and it took, maybe ~30minutes.
Totally fine with us because we read the menus.
Very much topping on the pizza - I can recommend!

Great atmosphere, busy even though moray of Sanur is very quiet. Obviously favourite for many travellers and expats.
We had the pizza (volcano) and a cheese and ham entree and couldn't for in anything else though we wanted dessert desperately.
Will definitely return again.
Owner visited table on a few occasions to make sure we were happy. Very attentive staff.

One of the best gelatto and pizza place in town. The price is cheap and the portion is so big.
The staff and even the owner is very friendly. Very recommended place to eat Pizza or just have a nice gelatto.

Huge range of flavor for gelato. Pasta and pizza taste authentic with generous portions. Recommend the hot dark chocolate which was so thick that it’s almost a chocolate mousse that’s less sinful.

Travelled 15km to eat at this so called 'restaurant' and It was my worst experience ever.
I waited 51 minutes for my food to arrive.
Once it arrived the food was stale and cold (staff clearly forgot about our food).
The waitress separated our table as soon as the food arrived into two without consulting us even though we were sat waiting/talking for 51 minutes and placed a 'reserved' sign on the table even though the restaurant was empty.
I walked out without paying due to the lack of respect shown.
Recommendation: Your staff and supervisor need to go on a crash course on How to speak to customers.

We had a lovely meal here. As a celiac, finding gluten free food can be a challenge and still satisfy my gluten loving husband. He ordered a pizza and I had Gluten free gnocchi. Both were delicious. The staff entertained our 18month old for us. The gelato was delicious. Highly recommend.

I love the gelato bar, only 20k for 2 scopes of ice cream (cone/glass). There might be a queue but the service is fast. Various flavours from chocolate-y to fruity. Might contain nuts and alcohol in some flavour so please ask the servers.

Excellent food. Excellent ice cream. Reasonable price. 25 000 for 3 scoops of ice cream. 70-90k for pasta. Lasagna not so good . Pasta all excellent

Massimo's is a Sanur icon. The menu is extensive so have fun trying to sift through it all. But Massimo himself likes to walk through his establishment and greet people personally. Good for families and small children. My favourites are his marguerita pizza and any of his fresh pasta before it sells out.

Great place to dine, fresh pizza and pasta. Friendly staff. Great option of indoor or outdoor seating. No entertainment. Parking is a real hassle, there are none available or park by street side at your own risk.

They serve real Italian pizza and not expensive. The shop is clean. The shop attendants are nice and professional. There smile is for free. May God bless them with a lot of clients.
They also serve beer and wine. In front of the restaurant they sell gelato.

This place has so many options for the allergic! A little up there in price, but hey, the surroundings are fabulous, the service is great, and the food is true Italiano 👌🏼

Nice place, nice pizza and pasta, nice gelato and great service. Sometimes the gelato outside is full of people. If you want to buy the gelato and you dine in you can ask your server to get that for you.

Perfect and romantic Italian restaurant for dinner. Suggested for couple or family who need warm service. They have the cheapest ice cream in town.

The restaurant looks very fancy but has the feel of the tropics: easy going and cosy.
The food is good. That's most important. Prices are a bit high. But you would have a great night. It's always very busy, that speaks for itself.

If you every go to Bali, Massimo is a very nice Italian place you should visit, located in Sanur, it offers affordable Italian meal, and so many variants of Gelato... The place is usually crowded so it's nice to make early reservation.

Massimo is one of the well known Italian restaurant in Sanur. They have nice atmosphere and humble ambiance.
The restaurant will be very busy on dinner time. Unfortunatelly it is difficult to find parking space there, especially if you go with car.
They have best gelato in town anyway.

They have a gelato shop outside that is forever filled with tourists and the locals. This is what stops you as walk by...and the gelato are so popular that you're not guaranteed to get your flavour. I had the chocolate and ginger -- my new best flavour!! The service is just as great

Massimo is one of the best Italian Restaurant in Indonesia. The Restaurant is located in Sanur. They have the best Creamy Icecream all over Bali - mostly they are working with local fruits and the taste is absolutely natural - Really Great! The owner of the Restaurant - Massimo - is very a great Chief of cuisine. His Piizzas are great, but also his Fish and Seafood Dishes and of course his Pasta. The taste is real Mediteranean, not "Asian Italian". Thank you Massimo - please continue in this Quality - we will come back for sure!

My husband crave for some Italian food last night. Thank God we found this restaurant on internet. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and responsive. The food is AMAZING with very reasonable price. The place is a bit hot (no AC, fan only), but it's worth the pain. A must try whenever you're in Bali. The next day, we went for their gelato and it was FANTASTIC. Flawless. WE WILL BE BACK!
