I have been diving with Bali diving academy for many years now. After the first great experience diving with them in Pemuteran i decided to do more courses and eventualy ended up getting an internship to become a divemaster. I couldn't wish for a better place to do this. Working with a great crew and very professional instructors in a amazing enviroment. You couldn't wish for more!!! Looking forward to spend more time diving with them in the future.

The experience at Bali Diving Academy was more like a dream come true. The amazing location, the bay, the people the dive sites is something you can not miss if you go to Bali. You will be welcomed by a super friendly and fun staff. The shop keepers are great fun, very accommodating and always ready to help. I have spent 3 amazing months in Bali Diving Academy Pemuteran and i can say that is something from a tale. Accessible and affordable. As per accommodation i had an amazing and relaxing time at Pondok Lebih Guest House. Putu the owner will be there to greet you and be ready to accommodate your needs right away. Will all that said, you better not think twice. Go for it.

Diving with Bali Diving Academy is a top-professional dive company who can offer 5 different dive centers both on the main Island, Gili and Lembongan. So there is diving to suit any level of divers and a huge variety of dive sites.
I arrived in Bali without having booked or planned anything and I feel very lucky I found this company. In a few days Sandra at the Sanur office was able to put together a 1 month package, arrange hotels, transport, diving, everything... (Though I highly recommend that you contact the office and give them a decent amount of time, so Sandra can have time for a little private life ; - )
As I am traveling alone there is normally a single fee, but they where really good at fitting me in with other divers so I avoided the extra fee. Piecewise you can find cheaper companies but you get your moneys worth and then some, don't go for the cheapest price is my advise. If you do more than just a few dives they give a really good discount and get some really good prices on the accommodation.
I started out diving in Tulamben on the east coast of Bali. I highly recommend this location especially for makro life with many opportunities for photo enthusiasts. There is a lovely variety of dive sites here, wall dives, coral gardens, muck diving and its very close to the famous wreck.
All the dive sites are very close to the dive center, you dive from the beach or by RIB maybe max. 15 min. away. I have about 300 dives in tropical waters but this was my first trip in Indonesia. On every single dive except one I saw something I have never seen before!
The staff and guides are incredibly friendly, helpful and speak really good English. Safety is a top priority and customer satisfaction. You would be "sheep diving" but max. 4 divers to 1 guide. I was truly amazed with my guides ability to find the makro life such as harlequin shrimp, pygmy seahorses, ghostliness etc. which I would never have found on my own.
A little tip if you want to see the wreck, go early in the morning so your in the water at about 6:00 a.m. This sites is very crowded during the daytime often with 30+ divers on the wreck. But in the morning you will have it all to your self or just a few other divers. Also in the morning you get to see some marine life you won't see during the day. I also recommend you try a night dive here.
Another thing I would like to point out about Bali Diving Academy is their dedication to the environment. They put a lot of effort and sponsoring ecoprojects such as the coral farm in Pemuteran which you can see and dive on from the center there.
I was planning a 1 month package. Unfortunately after only 5 days in Tulamben I got a really nasty ear infection so I had to cancel the rest of my trip. But I will surely be back to see the rest asap.
