When we think about holidays in indonesia, we all dream about magic islands, friendly people, relaxing time , cristal water and breathtaking diving experiences....well, reality can often be different. But in diving with DIVE CONCEPT in the stunning island of Nusa Lembongan, i really find what i was expected from my indonesian trip : the staff is professional and very social. As soon as you step in, you feel the relax vibes of the dive shop, everyone welcomes you and try to help you. If you need a transport, a place to stay in your prices, a good deal for eating they will do their best to help you. They go diving later than the others dive center so you don t have to wake up early, and since others dive boats already left when you reach the dive sites, you can enjoy the spot without the crowd...they go almost everyday in Manta point dive spot ...where i spent the all dive surrounded by 20 giants manta ray...unforgetable experience. With Dive concept you are considerated as a friend and not as a customer, that makes the difference.

Great diving to Manta Point and Crystal Bay. Friendly and helpful dive team that inudes everything. Recommended for diving Nusa Penida in Bali. Our dive group was fun and knowledgeable and we had great dived with our dive master Deborah, who pointed out dozens of details each dive both underwater during the dive and on and after the dive. Deborah also explained how the local surge worked at Manta Point so we were really able to enjoy the experience. Dive Concrpts and dive master highly recomnended.

Fantastic dive joint. Great instructors (love Cedric and Ran) and good, clean, well maintained gear. Super friendly, 'youre family now' backpacker vibe that's still welcoming to the older crowd. Also, reasonable prices, hallelujah!

Did my open water licence here and I really enjoyed it. The instructors - especially yudi - are very nice and knowledgeable. I really recommend this place!

Just completed the Open Water dive course at Dive Concepts. Our instructor, Cedric, was fun, thorough and professional. I felt comfortable and relaxed as he guided us through the challenges and dives. The equipment is well maintained and it all fit comfortably. Seeing marine life in all its diversity and colour up close is a breathtaking wonder!

Amazing diving school, small groups and teachers that really know what they're doing. Everybody's so friendly and they do everything to make it the best experience for you. The boats were well maintained and we had new equipment. They really make sure you learn the theory and provide apps to practice for the final test while doing the open water diving license. I definitely will come back to meet all these lively people again!

Go elsewhere, you get what you pay for and our experience was not great.
Staff were very unfriendly, our Divemaster didn’t want to even speak to us and the dive centre manager has left us feedback to our review on trip advisor saying we were not friendly and more or less saying everything was our fault !!!They cannot take any constructive criticism ,and they blame the customer for everything.
I ended up with sea sickness on my first dive and couldn’t continue to dive the rest of my holiday which was my choice as a competent diver, I suffered some sort of squeeze or problem with my ear during my first dive which affected my balance and caused my seasickness problem which I’ve never had before and dove a lot of boat dives even in England on rough seas with no problems ever , the review from the management team said I should know better than to dive with congestion problems and more or less told if I suffered from sea sickness I should have said and they could give me tablets, if I did in fact have this problem would have brought my OWN medication for this and not taken their suggested tablets which would make me see blue mantas, safe to say I refused and didn’t dive further as 1.I didn’t know what they were or if they had wore off during the dive what would happen, not once after getting off the boat was i asked if I was ok or wanted any help carrying my equipment back to the centre, we then tried to wash our equipment and Couldn’t as all the rental gear was in the wash stations and we’re more or less backed into a corner to get changed when a member of their staff tried to turn on the shower when our dry clothes and Bag was underneath it , to which my husband asked him to wait until we had moved it so we could change this was really , really rude , we didnt want to dive with them any further anyway at this point and felt really uncomfortable and un welcome, if in doubt read the average to poor reviews on trip advisor and see the management responses, they don’t like it and also tried to remove my review then blamed me , which is farcical , if this was my centre I would be questioning my staff to make sure the problem didn’t reoccur , a similar review was posted the day before about the unfriendly nature of if the staff as have others , so it’s not just me and my husband , there are much better operators out there please chose carefully.

I was very disappointed with my experience with Dive Concept:
- The crew was not very welcoming or friendly (French and locals)
- The boat is really packed and rather uncomfortable.
- The equipment is tired.
- Best for the end: the local who guided me + 2 other divers was not even a DM (is that even legal?), refused to do buddy check, even after I requested it, gave poor briefing and was quite unenthusiastic.
The spots were awesome, which saved the day, but that has nothing to do with the dive centre.
Overall feeling: it's a dive factory where you only are a number and where safety doesn't come first. Not my definition of the dream dive centre.
Matti Törmä (04/11/2017 07:10)
The cheapest dive shop on the island, with regular trips to most popular dive spots. Also popular among the French speaking divers, with many French staff.
Some of the gear is a bit worn but all in working order.
Lunch charges extra - this gives you the option of bringing your own instead.
Many dive shops on the island use non-certified locals as dive leaders. For your safety and following the industry standard, it's always best to dive with certified divemaster or instructor. You'll know by asking to see dm/inst license or dm/inst number.

I do NOT recommend diving with dive concepts at all! But I highly recommend the dive sights around Nusa Lembongan since there are amazing! I would just rather go next door to Big Fish or some other company that takes good care of their customers.
The staff at dive concepts was quite friendly and our DM really tried to make the best of our unpleasant experience but unfornatly he wasn't very well trained. And yes he was trained at dive concepts. The equipment was in terrible condition. It started with not have the right sizes and not making sure that every diver could check and try on all parts of the equipment. We didn't get told that it can be extremely cold in cristal bay (luckily we knew) and had to convince the staff that be needed more layers.
I won't go into detail with everything we have noticed but I guess the worst part was when we went into the water and I noticed that my BCD had a hole (or was broken otherwise) and was deflating within seconds. It took a very long time until someone on the boat was convinced that there actually was a safety problem with my equipment... And that I shouldn't go diving with this BCD! So luckily they had a spare one on the boat (of course not my size but I wasn't picky anymore) and I could enjoy my short dive, since the tank was quite empty after enflating the BCD many times on the surface. I asked for a new tank but I didn't get one. Apparently it is normal not to fill up the tanks all the way...
Well, I learned for my self not to trust the equipment of any dives shop anymore and that it makes sense to pay a little bit more but have a much better experience in the end. I noticed that something was wrong and I could react appropriately, but I don't want to know what could happen if someone who is not experienced in diving and doesn't know how the equipment should work, has a serious problem!

Dive Concepts had a very friendly staff. Sarah had a lot of spunk and high energy on board! They stuck to Padi rules, and even made me do a refresher corse since I hadn't gone diving in 2 years, which turned out to be very helpful before we went diving in the ocean especially for the drift dives and dives with surges. I rented a camera and the staff accidentally deleted all of my photos when transferring them to a jump drive. They gave me a full refund and also a t shirt and some footage they had from the center. I am sad because I lost spectacular footage of the Manta Rays but they were so cool I couldn't be mad. Oh well next time! Overall would definitely recommend them the lost footage is the only reason why I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5

My girlfriend and I had a great time getting open water certified with Jordan. The shop has a great fun and very safe staff. They spend plenty of time with you so you can learn and they are so fun and helpful.
Vivian Lis Pinero (03/07/2017 15:58)
I spent a very good time here with Jordan my instructor and all the team. I did my open water course and everything was very good

French team. Good organisation. Young Divemaster. A very good location for diving and see Manta. Attractive price.
A little rate for the travel and transfer organisation which depend although of the travel company : Many waiting time and no organisation.
No shower at the dive center. Just one outside will be good.

Wonderful dives with my 11yrs old daughter in october 2016.
Whith only 24h delay, the team arranged everything so that my daughter could do her first 2 dives with an instructor while i joined a group of advanced divers.
We had our 3rd dive of the day on the liberty wreck wich was one of the greatest sharing moment that a pationate diver can have with its child.
Very professional instructors and safe equipements, resonnable prices.
I highly recommend

I did day trip from Bali to nusa lembongan to dive at manta point and crystal bay with dive concepts. I was picked up at my place and brought to their dive shop. The prices are better than those of many other dive shops offering the same and better than if you organise a day trip by your own (at least I think so).
I was diving with Cedric there, who is really nice and a very good dive master! Highly recommended!

Cheap, well mantained equipments, excellent DM and very well organized. Obtained my AOW here. Safety was very well adhered to despite the competitive pricing. Dive sites were amazing. DMs are very strict on protecting the reefs and keep a constant look out on divers accidentally touching the corals. Will recommend people to dive here.
Well done Dive Concepts. 👍🏽

We went on a family dive trip with Dive Concepts Lembongan and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Freddy the shop owner is really friendly and welcoming - he kindly helped us arrange transport from our accommodation at Dream Beach to the dive shop. Our dive masters David, Mike, and Marco did a great job in guiding us underwater. All equipment are well maintained. There is no compromise in safety despite the competitive dive price. Thank you for the awesome dives!

Nice and competent diving instructor. Good place to take a diving course.
Felix Zet (06/01/2017 11:43)
Good dive shop, equipment is well maintained and will be prepared by the staff for a fun dive. Boats leave at the beach after a 3 min walk. Our DM Nawel was well prepared and took us to two amazing dives, thank you :)

5 stars for the diving, unfortunately that's were it ends. We booked in for 2 dives, told we had to come in the day before to fill in paperwork and when asked if we could come in earlier on the day the girl emailed back quite rudely''no'', so we disrupted our days plans to go fill in paperwork, trying to hey any useful info out of her was painful. Very condescending toward us. Low and behold on the day a couple of other people filled in their paperwork we were rudely told to come do the day before or wouldn't be diving.
My partner and i wanted to dive together, but because i was AOW and she was OW. they split is up,and when queried said it was full and wouldn't try swap is around.
Once there i was kind of forgotten about when the one DM announced in French for my group to follow, i don't speak French!
After asking the girl she took me out back were my guide was who then gave me my gear.
The gear is a bit run down and they didn't give me the sizes i requested. The girl the day before thought she knew best. Giving me a SM BCD when i asked for a medium. You only find this out once on the boat as they load the gear.
Once out there we got a very basic safety brief which was useless. One of the girls diving in my group was quite new to diving and he had her so confused, even i was with his non standard hand signals.
The diving was amazing but as for customer service these guys need a bit of training.
Ernst Swanepoel (16/07/2016 15:47)
The dive groups are big but is divided into teams of 5 with one DM. The DM provided was professional and had put in some extra effort to find something special on each dive. Our manta point dive was magical with these guys.
There are only two things which bothered me. The first is that when you pitch with your own gear you have to walk with it from their office to the beach where they will use a trolley to transport their own gear each time. They can provide this service to all divers imo. The second is communication. For instance, when we asked if they provide food on the boat we were told yes. However, they failed to mention you have to book this beforehand. The food was not great either, I will skip these meals if I were you, rather take your own.

Friendly staff, great spotters, MOLA-MOLA!
What a great time I had diving with Dive Concepts Lembongan. I arrived right in the middle of huge manta and mola-mola season. I got extremely lucky and saw a huge, gorgeous mola-mola on my very first dive with them at Buyuk site!
Unfortunately, I was diving with them for 2 days (5 dives total) and just missed their manta ray day trip, as waves were huge and weather not favorable. Regardless, I had an incredible time and so I good mix of macro, beautiful colorful coral, great variety of reef fish, and some exhilarating drift dives. These waters are teeming with life, thanks to those very strong currents and microclimates. Accordingly, don’t bring anything less than a 5mm wetsuit!
Diver to guide ratio was good during my visit: only about 4 to 5 divers per guide. Equipment was in okay condition, not malfunctioning/in bad condition but not brand-new either. They could change a wetsuit or 2. Other than that, everything wonderful.
Some of the things we saw during our dives: spotted box fish, cornet fish, red toothed triggerfish, coral grouper, big red scorpion fish, bluefin trevally, client fishes, unicorn fish, fat nudis, several echinoderms, and too many different varieties of reef fish to remember.
All in all, a great diving holiday. Worth freezing your butt off over! ;)

Great people. The french guy is a comedian! ;-) my DM, Yasmin, was extremely nice and responsive.
1 star taken for filled to the rim boat. 1 star taken because the Manta Dive site was full of people. Manta-diver ratio was around 7 to 1. You may want to adjust your dive times (be there before or after other boats)
