Went there for the food at Sunday bazaar. Looked for more traditional snacks (jajan pasar) but they didn't have many of the ones I used to buy so I bought the yellow saffron rice instead. The taste was pretty bland for an Indonesian. Never really like the food here, they just got the famous name from their ceramic factories and the deli. The atmosphere is great though and they just extended the car park area too.

Suggested place to visit. The taste is good. Near sanur beach. The price is worthed!

Like the ambience, mostly open air and smoker friendly. Foos must try is ikan woku and canapes is perkedel jagung. My favorit drink is ice coffee, they blend it with ice cream. Just bit dissapoint with how they serve, a small they that shouldn’t be ask for are straw and side plate.

Food was good very big serves - lots of choice - however don't go on a Saturday night unless you like to dance as you can't have a discussion music is too loud!!

Nice place to eat in Sanur. I love the atmosphere of the cafe. Even though it is located in touristic area but it is quite calm. They serve delicious Pan Seared Mahi Mahi fish.. I love it. There is a small corner sell organic foods.

Pricey but the food and coffee are top notch.Sunday morning they have a small but interesting market. One stall sells delicious black honey. On Sunday's they do a buffet of local foods.

Such an enjoyable lunch. We ordered the beef sate and a 2 person sharing plate. So. Much. Food! Don't get wrong, we ate it up, but you won't need supper anytime soon. The decor is something out of Pinterest. And the sambal with the beef sate... Order a little extra. So good on everything. All this coupled with a jackfruit avocado coconut milk shaved ice... Stellar. If you find yourself walking past restaurant after restaurant wondering what you should eat, this is a great choice.

Overpriced local food, but really nice place and atmosphere. But, I would give 5 stars for The Pantry, the small store next to it where they have amazing selection of wine and gourmet food.

Vibrant restaurant with salsa night on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Had smoothies and breakfast which tasted great. The host/ boss was really friendly.

Have been waiting for 15 min for service. 5 people of the staff standing around talking. good cocktails, but you have to go to them to order.
Second time here, I was waiting for 45 minutes for the ordered cocktail.

My favorite place for a bite or coffee in Sanur. Great choice of cakes (Ioved the cheesecake!) and local and international cuisine. Well located at the heart or town and has both indoor and outdoor seating.

Great flavors at an affordable price. Make sure to order an Indonesian dish!!! Spacious and quiet when we went (6:00pm). Staff are friendly. I would come here again.

Quieter for dinner on a Sunday. Staff helped answer questions about food.
I had Soto ayam and was delicious. Husband had a nasi campur Indonesian meal that he enjoyed. They kindly made it super hot for him with his love of sambal since coming to indonesia.
Once served staff left us alone and we had to ask for the bill.
Nice place but looked like lunch was the busiest time.

Wonderful atmosphere for a Sunday brunch with lovely traditional food. Alternatively order from the menu a la cart for European food and lovely cakes. It's all delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Come before 10.30 am on Sunday to beat the rush of tourists!

Nice Sunday market with good value.

The food portions were so small for the amount you pay. The only reason I gave it two stars was for the atmosphere which was pretty cool and the food tasted decent. The nachos were over IDR80,000 ($8.00)!!! Way better places on this street that you can get actual value for your money

Great place to stop for a coffee. We didn't stop for the food, but from what I seen it looked good.

Our 1st meals were very good so we returned. Our second meals were poor - the (not cheap) prawn curry had only 3 unshelled prawns (whch once peeled there was barely a mouthful of meat) n a bowl of pale bland sauce served on overdone rce and a few vegetables. Very poor.

The Indonesian food they make is so bland. Probably to cater to westerners, but really, not cool. Very bland.

After receiving a glowing recommendation from a friend that lives locally I ventured out from my resort lodgings to find this restaurant. Set among the many other venues on the main street of Sanur it stands out due to its large, bold, and clean exterior. There is a great deal of outside seating but I chose to sit indoors this evening. Wait staff were attentive, friendly and professional but I made their job easier by already perusing the menu online prior to attending. I ordered the Nasi Uduk (a difficult choice due to the many appetising items on the menu) and a large Bintang beer. Both arrived promptly and were received with equal gusto. The food had an incredibly entrancing smell which served to encourage me to eat. The beer was tasty and certainly quenched my thirst. The portions of food were ample but I still found room for dessert; especially after looking in the dessert cabinet. All of the desserts on display were made from local ingredients on site. I chose the coconut pie and was not disappointed. Beautiful, natural aroma, not overly sweet but naturally flavoured. An excellent choice. The meal was finished off with a latte over ice (Illy Cafe). Prices were higher than other local restaurants but not expensive by Western standards. I am already thinking about visiting again before I leave Bali. Highly recommended.

My daughter has peanut allergy and once we told our waiter that, they took to great lengths to make sure there's no peanut whatsoever. Being a place that serves Indonesian food, that is one hell of an achievement! They checked the cooking oil used, asked whether she's allergic to soy (kedelai "nut"), or kemiri (candle nut), etc. It's very impressive. And the food is oh so heavenly too!!

Good food. Fresh and clean restaurant. Service was also great. Only downside is that the wifi doesn't work well and the prices are high. You can get the same dishes at a local warung for half the price. Still, the atmosphere and service make it a worthwhile spot to visit for a meal.

Being in the main town you'd expect restaurants to be pricey and Cafe BJ can be included in that list. I couldn't flaw anything on the food whilst dining (lunch) here. You'll find local and international food on the menu. The dining areas are tastefully furnished with a cellar adjacent to the restaurant.

Fantastic Sunday market and brunch. It can be a bit on the pricy side for some of the Indonesian dishes. Try Dapur Sanur on Danau Poso which is having the same owner and very good Indonesian food.
Matthias Lampe (26/05/2016 07:40)
Great atmosphere. Was there with 3 friends and all the cakes we had were perfect. Our favorite was the chocolate cheese cake.
Erick James (23/02/2016 04:52)
Probably the best place in Sanur for authentic Indonesian cuisine. Thier smoothies (although rather pricey) are just delicious. And cakes that will make you drool. This would be a regular hangout if the prices before taxes for drinks wouldn't be so steep, otherwise it would be 5 stars from me.
Tip: Sunday Market is a must here, sample lots of local snacks and definitely the best gado gado you will find in Bali!
