Going to Gili T was fine, came back with a maniac driver. Rough sea and he was speeding and showing off for other speed boats. Practically got whiplash

Great attentive service... Even had a movie on the way back with the newer boat! Had a small break down caused by the waves... But we're informative and genuine!

Well at least we made it back to bali... I read very good reviews aboutthis company, but I was disappointed with the experience. The organization was on point and there was no delay whatsoever, the thing that annoyed us is the trip, it was sooooo bumpy! Maybe speed boats are supposed to be like this, but our first speed boat with abother competitor was a big ship,and the cruise was so smooth that you could literally stroll onthe top deck. With bluewater express we couldn't even get up to use the toilet.
I think it's better than most of what competitors offer, but certainly not the best.

I did a lot of research for my ferry ride.
All of them have quiet a view bad reviews, so I hesitated to book.
After traveling with BlueWater Express for 3 times, i am glad I picked them.
The service was good, they online booking worked very well and I got email, WhatsApp and a phone call to confirm the pick-up time and place.
The pick-up was on time and the boat also left the harbor on time.
The had safety instructions in the beginning of the ferry ride and it seemed they have all the safety responsibilities covered.
The seats were comfortable and the AC worked well.
Considering other reviews I have to say:
You are in Indonesia!
Obviously the quality and reliability doesn’t match Western Europe standards, but then again neither does the price!
All of my 3 rides were on time and felt safe, but obviously with every transportation you can run into delays and engine problems.
Just keep in mind that you are in Asia and this ferry is above Indonesian standard!

Harganya memang cukup mahal tapi untuk fasilitas dan pelayanan seperti itu kyaknya worth it.. puaasss
Dibandingkan dengan speed boat yg lain,, Blue water tampilannya lebih menarik dan bersih, staff dan kaptennya sangat ramah, sudah dapet teh/kopi sebelum berangkat dan atau saat sampai di bali, sudah termasuk dapet air mineral dan permen juga...

Both trips with Blue Water we're good. We would recommend them over some of the competition. Yes it cost a bit more but the boats are in good shape.

Good experience with these guys from pickup to departure. Collected by mini van and taken to the harbour in Sanur where we checked in and enjoyed free coffee and tea and WiFi before being escorted to the giant speed boat for the 2hr ride to Gili islands. Definitely recommend sitting on the top deck for the last leg so you can enjoy the scenery and the sunshine!

Complete scam. I paid for full transportation to my hotel and they charged me 30 CADs extra for taxi.
Boats are dated with a poor air conditioning unit. And, they asked people to close the windows. Worst experience travelling. Thanks for ruining my vacations.

A bit more than other carriers but well worth it. They take care of you and your luggage with excellence. Their boats are well equipped so you don't have to worry, just enjoy the ride. They also arrange for pick up and drop off to and from your hotel in Bali. Great for hassle free travel!!!

Very professional and comfortable ferry sevice. They are very well organised, keeping track of luggage, sorting and onward taxi, online confirmations etc. They provide travel sickness tablets, cold towels and mints. It was quite warm inside the ferry - could have done with some better A/C. You can sit on the roof of the boat depending on the weather.

Drive it like you stole it
If you want to feel like you’re in a boat that has been stolen by 4 lads who drive at breakneck speeds, even in dangerously rough water, pick these guys!
The boats are not air conditioned so you’ll be sweating for a good 2+ hours. Then, because you can’t open the windows the smell of diesel from the 6 engines makes you feel sick
Also if you have valuables in your bags, make sure they are well protected. On our return leg the hatch where the suitcases were loaded was left wide open and sea water proceeded to soak all suitcases on the top. Even after we told the staff this, they didn’t do anything about it
My strong recommendation is get the biggest boat you can which will be less likely to leave you sea sick, have facilities like a toilet and AC on board.... and will have refreshments apart from tiny bottles of water

Driver failed to pick us up at our hotel in the morning, he stopped at the wrong hostel, called the wrong number and when nobody picked up they just left. Even though I gave my correct phone number in the form they called the wrong number so we did not know what was going on for hours. I called the regular number and the hotline on their site but nobody picked up. After more than 2 hours they called our hotel and said the hotel owner should get us a taxi to get to the bay which we did. When we finally got to the bay we missed all bluewater express boats, they refunded us 50% of our price and then put us on another boat which was somewhat dirty, overcrowded and had no airconditioning. If we'd known this beforehand we would have asked for a full refund, it wasn't worth even 50% of what bluewater express originally promised.
In short, worst communication ever. Very expensive for bad service. You're better off just getting your own taxi to the bay area and taking one of the cheaper boats, that way you're sure you'll be on a boat and to your destination without a 5 hour delay. 100% would not recommend

Very professional, give water and motion sickness pills. They helped from start to finish and they are very organized. They also carried all of our luggage and gave us a shuttle back to our hotel. Excellent experience compared to the awful experience with marina fast boat.

I made a booking with BlueWater Express to go to the Gili Islands. The next day I wrote to cancel my reservation. According to their online website, full refunds are issued as long as cancellations are made 7 days in advance. I wrote to three different email addresses associated with their company over the course of a week and got no response. It wasn't until I threatened a poor review that I even got an email back, and then they told me it would take 45 business days to get a refund (they were able to take my money immediately, naturally). It's been weeks and I still haven't received a refund. By contrast, my booking with GiliGetaways was refunded within two days of my first email. Couldn't be less impressed with this company.

One of the nice and reliable boat transfers between Bali and the Gili Islands. Your ride will be smooth and as quick as possible weather permitting. This is the fastest option to get to Gili from the major areas of Bali with transportation to and from your hotel included on the main island. Transportation on Gili is by foot or a horse drawn cart and not included. Though you'll find that out through proper research of the Gili Islands.

We were concerned about the safety of this crossing as it is commonly reported that boats sink or get in other trouble here, so we booked the "reputable" BlueWater Express from the Gili Air office. They very easily dropped the price per person from 790k to 500k. On arrival we waited for our boat but to our surprise we were picked up by the mahi mahi Dewata boat.
No information was provided as to the safety features, no snacks or drinks. When we continued to pick up more people on Gili Trawangan, our boat was unsuspectingly hit by another boat which hit a hole in the side of our boat, somewhat above the waterline! The crew then continued to "patch" this hole with plastic bags and a small towel, assuring us that it would be safe (obviously we were worried at this point, but there was no way to get off without making a huge scene and demanding a dropoff on an island we didn't want to be).
Shortly after departure, on open water, the crew became more concerned with the hole in our boat as this back part sinks into the water as the boat accelerates. About halfway the crossing, 15km from both coastlines, the crew ordered everyone to move the the right side of the boat, for safety. By this point we were feeling really bad about the situation, crossing open ocean with heavy currents with a boat with a hole in it.
In total the boat took 3.5 through heavy waves to get into Padangbai, and we were glad to get off.
Then we were transferred to a car that was to take us to Ubud. This driver was easily the most aggressive I've ever seen, risking the safety of all for unnecessary overtaking actions to an extreme degree. In Ubud he refused a hotel dropoff, which I explicitly discussed with BlueWater Express at booking. At this point I lost my temper and after some raising of my voice the dropoff could be arranged.
In conclusion, this company will sell you to the highest bidder with no concern for your safety! Avoid at all cost!

Due to booking too late the shuttle to the harbour was not sent. They paid for the taxi without even asking. Great experience, complimentary water and cold wet towel. All trips on time. Highly recommended to go to Gili

We booked this company as it was widely suggested they were the beast & safest, so it was a HUGE surprise to run out of fuel in the middle of the ocean, staff on the boat did not communicate what the issue was they just kept us in the dark until a boat eventually arrived 45-60 minutes later to throw on a bunch of plastic container full of fuel.
When we eventually arrived, we didn't get an apology or an explanation, just a soft drink for our troubles.
I'd think twice before booking with this company again, particularly as they are by far the most expensive option to travel between the Gili Islands.

Driver who picked us up from the hotel was unfriendly and drove like a maniac.
On the way to gili we lost the engine three times and the crew doesnt even said anything to us what has been happening. Just acted like everything was normal.
And backpacks were wet after we arrived.
Sorry but no more bluewater.

Wirklich super! Klasse Service: pünktlich, sauber, professionell! Kann ich wirklich nur empfehlen, bei den Überfahrten ein paar Taler mehr zu investieren. Die Kosten beinhalten die Überfahrt, die Abholung vom Reisebeginnstandort und bei der Rückfahrt ebenso wieder das Bringen in das jeweilige neue oder alte Hotel, Pension... Liest die anderen Bewertungen von der Konkurrenz.
Einfach nur Top.
